"Please speak plainly," Ziyu said, looking at Messenger. 0

"Our development has reached an unprecedented level in technology... but we know this is not the limit..." Messenger spoke as if in despair. 0

The universe is vast, truly vast, large enough to accommodate countless forms of life... 0

In the universe, terms like humanity and human race refer to flesh-and-blood beings. Any life form with flesh and blood, regardless of its shape, is called the human race. The human race is a big family; although there are countless internal conflicts, it is still one species. 0

Through long-term development, the human race gained the ability to remain youthful, and their technology became increasingly advanced... 0

Finally, after countless years of evolution, humans, aided by powerful technology, experienced minimal evolution in their brain intelligence; it had almost stagnated. 0

For an intelligent species, being deprived of the ability to evolve intellectually is a terrifying prospect! 0

However, at this moment... another species emerged. 0

Mechanical Life. 0

They have their core. Initially, Mechanical Life had only one core, which was generated from the collective intelligence of most artificial intelligences within the human Intelligence network. This intelligence created its own body and separated from humanity, forming its own race... In the eyes of Mechanical Life, humans are a lower species, constrained by various limitations. 0

Although the Mechanical Race did not launch an invasion against humanity, humans felt as if they were sitting on pins and needles. 0

Humans needed substantial help: a brain that could still evolve! 0

With such a potentially evolving brain, human intelligence could progress and develop more powerful technology to combat the advanced Mechanical Race. 0

Of course, humans could not modify their own brains, and they could no longer detach from technology. Thus, they devised a method... 0

They would create a type of organism with basic capabilities and send it to a planet to strip them of their technological abilities. Then... these created beings would find ways to develop their own civilization... leading to evolution and the emergence of a brain capable of thought with significant room for advancement... 0

Naturally, these humans would not grow freely; some special organisms suited for various environments would periodically capture humans to investigate their various indicators and ultimately report back to Ali Star headquarters. 0

Ziyu thought about those on Earth who study their own lives. They claim that both humans and they are slaves; however, it seems they misunderstood. 0

"Our brains have no room for evolution; our intelligence has reached a limit... so we place our hopes on you," Messenger said. "Your self-controlled technology has not yet reached its peak; theoretically speaking, your brains can still evolve until you develop the strongest technology. Only then will your brains stop evolving due to reliance on technology." 0

"So you're saying that our technology on Earth is primarily not due to the accumulation of generations but because modern people are smarter than ancient ones?" Ziyu asked. 0

"You could say that you have room for evolution, and you also have the capacity to accept it," the Messenger continued. "You can adopt our technology, and after a period of time and reproduction, your evolved selves will have the ability to enhance our technology... In other words, you are the hope of the human race." 0

"And we have given you six hundred thousand years for evolution," the Messenger added. 0

"Then why do you still..." Ziyu pointed outside at the densely packed small flying devices. 0

"This is an assessment of you," the Messenger replied. 0

Ziyu chuckled lightly, "You have requirements, right? Those who meet the requirements can be utilized by you, while those who do not will be completely wiped out from this planet?" 0

The Messenger paused for a moment but nodded affirmatively. 0

"Then is Earth qualified?" Ziyu's expression was emotionless; even the Messenger could not discern what Ziyu was thinking. 0

"Wait a moment, the inspection results will be out soon." 0

~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 0
Half an hour later. 0
During this half hour, Earth fell into a state of panic. They thought their advanced technology was rendered useless as small flying devices scanned every corner of the world. 0
"Ninety-nine percent," the Messenger said while looking at the screen. 0
"What does ninety-nine percent mean?" Ziyu asked. 0
"Completion rate. To put it simply, you just need to improve a little bit more to meet our requirements," the Messenger explained. "I can report this, and perhaps your ninety-nine percent situation... might pass the inspection." 0
Ziyu nodded. 0
At that moment, Ziyu really wanted to flip a table, but he knew that the fate of all life on Earth was in this guy's hands, and he absolutely could not act impulsively. 0
"It will take some time, right? Would you like to come sit with me for a bit?" Ziyu asked with a smile. 0
"No need. It's just a matter of casting a vote; it will be quick," the Messenger said as results appeared on the screen. 0
Ziyu glanced at it but could not make out what was written. 0
"Ali Star has news..." Messenger said with a smile, indicating it was likely good news. "The headquarters has decided that the people of your planet can survive... but you will not receive the best technological guidance." 0
Qualified planets receive powerful technical support to develop better and faster; clearly, Earth does not qualify for this now. 0
"Then why can Earth still survive? It must be meaningless for you, right?" Ziyu asked, somewhat worried. 0
"We will not provide any technical support to Earth, but you are exceptional... which means that the people of Earth can continue to live on Earth. However, you need to come with me to Ali Star to receive advanced technical support, and then... contribute your strength to our fight against Mechanical Life." 0
"Uh... what?" Ziyu exclaimed. "But I have my family here! How can I leave Earth for a long time?" 0
While it sounded nice to say "for a long time," Ziyu knew that once he went to Ali Star, there was a high chance he would not return. 0
Unless he gained status and freedom... but that wouldn't happen in the short term. 0
"Alright, I can give you some time to be with your family, but then you must come with me... If you refuse, I cannot guarantee your safety," Messenger said. "Do you see those spacecraft? They are armed, and... they are not under my control; the ships are as well..." 0
As long as Ziyu did not comply, Earth would be destroyed by Ali Star. 0
"Think of it as for your hometown!" Messenger said, his eyes even becoming a bit moist. "I was once in the same position." 0
