"You violated..." Before Roy could finish his sentence, Ziyu's bullet reached him, causing his body to tremble and gradually dissipate.
"Uh... he took care of both of them..." The Rescue Team, still far away, watched Ziyu advance and then kill Allen with a knife before eliminating Roy.
"Simulation ended." A message echoed in everyone's Intelligence, and they all felt a moment of disorientation as darkness enveloped them.
The helmet obscured the Light.
Ziyu removed the helmet and saw Allen and Roy standing off to the side.
"Ziyu, you are really impressive, your combat awareness is strong!" Allen approached with a flurry of compliments.
"Enough." Roy's expression was quite grim. "Ziyu, you need to understand that this is a rescue operation; you are the one who needs rescuing. You can't act like this."
"Captain, I believe that for someone to fall into a predicament and require support, the opponent's strength must surpass that of the one needing rescue. But you all didn't," Ziyu paused, "Training must be taken seriously. I need to have a sense of resistance so that I can apply what I've learned in actual combat."
"But we are currently familiarizing ourselves with each other," Roy seemed somewhat irritated. "This is just our preliminary coordination!"
"Can't the Intelligence system simulate both enemies and allies?" Ziyu asked again.
Ziyu was not the type to be unreasonable, but felt that there was no need for him and Roy to act like this... Ziyu suspected that Roy might be doing this on purpose.
Targeted intentionally, for some reason, Ziyu felt this way. Since Roy was targeting him, Ziyu saw no reason to back down.
"Alright, alright, so absolute disadvantage is it? Then let's do a realistic simulation..." Roy's expression turned serious. "Ziyu, you and Allen attack while I play the role of the one needing support."
"That's not what I meant..." Ziyu said. "We can assist in helping others instead of just saving ourselves."
"Everyone, listen up, continue the simulation." Roy walked directly to the simulator.
"Ziyu... there's no need for that." Everyone walked over and patted Ziyu on the shoulder.
When Team Leader Roy came here, he specifically mentioned Ziyu, and at that time, Ziyu felt that Roy seemed to have a strong aversion towards him.
"It's necessary to investigate this further." Ziyu thought there must be a reason behind it.
Ziyu stopped overthinking and entered the virtual battlefield.
Next to Ziyu was Allen, while in the distance were the members of the Rescue Team, and five hundred meters away was Roy.
"Start..." Roy said.
Roy once again had the Machine Gun he used last time in his hands, while Ziyu also used an Earth-made Machine Gun...
"Ziyu, stay calm and cooperate." Allen whispered a reminder.
When Roy mentioned Ziyu before, everyone noticed that Roy seemed to have some dislike for Ziyu... and everyone also knew that Ziyu's reputation was not just based on high intelligence.
Ziyu raised the Machine Gun, and then a targeting display appeared to assist Ziyu in aiming.
"Ziyu, you..." Allen looked at Ziyu, knowing what he was about to do.
"The bullet will hit Roy directly; he might die instantly. We can use the ricochet to dissipate the bullet's energy and reduce its speed to limit the damage, allowing Roy to be severely injured but not killed," Zero reported briefly.
Ziyu aimed the gun at a rock.
"Trajectory confirmed, force confirmed, path confirmed."
Roy was moving towards Ziyu, soon to align with Ziyu's bullet trajectory.
"Five... four... three... two... one..."
Ziyu pulled the trigger, and the bullet shot out of the gun, slicing through the virtual air and striking the rock, which trembled slightly.
The bullet left a white mark on the rock before ricocheting towards Roy.
Though it sounded slow, it was actually a very quick process. Roy had no time to react; he only saw Ziyu fire a shot in a direction that wasn't aimed at him.
"Master..." Roy's Intelligence detected the approaching bullet but couldn't fully articulate it before Roy was hit.
"...There is a bullet." The other half of Intelligence's statement was also made.
The impact from the bullet struck Roy in the waist, causing him to collapse to the ground.
Roy gritted his teeth, rolled over, and began firing wildly at Ziyu.
"Is the Rescue Team here?" Ziyu looked into the distance; the Rescue Team was almost there.
Ziyu smiled and slowly walked forward.
Zero assisted Ziyu in calculating the trajectory and detecting Roy's reactions, while also enhancing Ziyu's response capabilities. Every bullet aimed at Ziyu would be deflected by the bullets fired from Ziyu's gun.
Ziyu casually walked to a spot not far from Roy, while Allen did not make any attacks.
Without saying anything, Ziyu raised the gun and shot directly through Roy's head.
"Since it's directed at me, I can only refuse to give you face..." Ziyu put away the gun and quietly said as Roy exited the virtual system.
Ziyu had a strong aversion to such people and would never show any humility. However, for those who showed respect to Ziyu, Ziyu maintained a respectful attitude.
"End simulation..." Zero said.
The scene shifted, reappearing in the simulation room.
"Ziyu." Roy looked even more displeased; he had originally wanted to make Ziyu suffer a bit but ended up losing himself.
"Team Leader." Ziyu stood up straight, maintaining a formal posture.
"You have once again broken the rules," Roy said. "You repeatedly disrupted teamwork among your teammates. Do you have any explanation?"
"Captain, I believe that the person we are trying to rescue should be someone who is persistently holding on in a difficult situation and truly needs saving..." Ziyu paused, "rather than someone who has no ability to resist and does not require rescue."
"Are you... talking about me?" Roy squinted his eyes, looking at Ziyu.
Ziyu stood there without any change in expression.
"Let's stop here for today. I hope some people... can cooperate more actively next time." Roy said this while turning his back to everyone before leaving.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Ziyu, what happened between you and the captain? Did you know each other before as rivals, or is there some misunderstanding?" Allen asked while walking beside Ziyu.
Roy had already left and was not with everyone.
"I don't know why... but it feels like he's intentionally targeting me for something..." Ziyu replied, "Maybe he has his reasons."
During the first simulation, Roy's attacks were much more intense than Allen's, as if he wanted to quickly eliminate Ziyu; in the second simulation, he played the role of someone needing rescue...
If Ziyu had died in the first round, Roy might have said something like 'Ziyu is useless' and other sarcastic remarks. In the second round, if Roy had held on until the rescue team arrived, Ziyu would have died anyway; either way, it would have resulted in one death.
"Let's go. We should take a shower now; it's only the first day." Allen chuckled and headed toward the shower area.
Ziyu shook his head and followed him.
