Lizard Spirit's face darkened as he turned to glare at Li Yunyang, Qingtian, and Lian Cheng Xue: "This is my cave. If you don't like it, you can leave."
"Leave?" Li Yunyang angrily stepped forward, looking at Xiang Xueer still lying in Lizard Spirit's arms, shouting, "You can leave, but give me back my wife!"
Lizard Spirit could no longer contain himself, releasing Xiang Xueer and standing up: "So you're Li Yunyang, huh? What? Do you want to fight or something?"
A cold smile crept onto Li Yunyang's lips as he drew the Azure Dragon Sword and rested it on his shoulder: "That suits me just fine. If you lose, stay away from her!"
Upon hearing this, the muscles on Lizard Spirit's face twitched: "Fine, if you lose, you can never appear in front of her again!"
The conflicting Killing Intent filled the cave. Seeing the two preparing to head outside, Lian Cheng Xue hurriedly stepped forward to stop them: "Don't make a fuss! It's a blizzard outside right now!"
"Lian Xiong, don't stop me!" Li Yunyang was determined; he had to settle things with this Demon today and see if it dared to be so arrogant as to take Xiang Xueer away!
Lian Cheng Xue was sweating anxiously and turned to Lan Ran Qingtian for help: "Hey, Qingtian, say something!"
With his arms crossed and eyes closed against the wall, Qingtian slowly opened his eyes upon hearing Lian Cheng Xue's words, wearing a nonchalant expression: "I don't care. Let them fight. When Xiang Xueer wakes up, I'll tell her the truth—that these two died fighting over her!"
"Both died?" Upon hearing Qingtian's words, Li Yunyang immediately flared up: "Hey, Qingtian, what do you mean? Do you want me dead or something?"
Lan Ran Qingtian shrugged and shook his head: "It's not that I want you dead; it's that you both are looking for trouble. With the blizzard raging outside, don’t even think about fighting; you'll just get lost if you go out."
Li Yunyang swallowed hard and glanced sideways at Lizard Spirit, drawing a long line on the ground with the Azure Dragon Sword: "It doesn't have to be big; just put Shirley in the middle. You don't touch her, and I won't touch her either. Is that acceptable?"
"What?" Lizard Spirit frowned at the scratch on the ground, unexpectedly agreeing. He turned and picked up Xiang Xueer, placing her in the middle of the line: "Then we'll wait for Jing Yue to wake up and let her decide who she wants to be with!"
"Finally!" These two fools finally calmed down. Qingtian couldn't help but shake his head: "All this trouble because of love!"
Suddenly, lying in the middle, Xiang Xueer coughed violently, black blood spewing from her mouth, immediately alarming the four people in the cave.
"What’s going on?" Li Yunyang hurried over and noticed that Xiang Xueer's complexion was getting worse, her breathing becoming rapid. He cursed under his breath, "There's not enough time. Why haven't Gu Liu Ma and the others brought the medicine yet?"
Qingtian anxiously walked to the cave entrance and looked outside. Everything was covered in white; it seemed the blizzard would last for at least a few more hours. Damn it, what should we do?
Li Yunyang picked up Xiang Xueer and prepared to head outside. "I need to take her away to find Gu Liu Ma. It's too dangerous to wait here any longer."
"No way!" Lizard Spirit grabbed Li Yunyang and shouted angrily, "Taking her out like this is even more dangerous!"
"Then what do you suggest we do?" Li Yunyang looked down at Xiang Xueer's increasingly weak vital signs, feeling helpless. Lizard Spirit furrowed its brows tightly, snatched Xiang Xueer from him, and placed her on the Stone Bed.
"I'll use my true energy to protect her; it should help her hold on for a while!" Lizard Spirit said, sitting cross-legged on the bed. It formed hand seals, and a green light began to appear in its abdomen.
"What are you trying to do?" Just as Li Yunyang was about to rush forward, he was stopped by Lian Cheng Xue, who shook her head at him and placed a finger on her lips. "Shh, don't disturb it!"
Although Li Yunyang still didn't understand what Lizard Spirit was planning, he recognized that Lian Cheng Xue had her reasons for stopping him. So the two of them stood aside, watching what this creature was about to do.
The green light slowly moved upward from its abdomen. Lizard Spirit opened its mouth, and a small ball of green light flew out, starting to circle around Xiang Xueer's head.
This is Lizard Spirit's true energy. Li Yunyang and Lian Cheng Xue were surprised; they hadn't expected this creature would use its life-representing true energy to alleviate the effects of Miasma poison.
Finally, Xiang Xueer's coughing stopped, the painful expression gradually faded, and her breathing stabilized. It seemed that the invasion of Miasma poison had been contained. Li Yunyang finally breathed a sigh of relief, hoping they could hold on until Gu Liu Ma and the others arrived.
Xiang Xueer felt a warm current gradually flowing into her body, even seeping into her bones. Is this really a monster? Why does it feel so warm?
Xiang Xueer chuckled softly; it seemed that not all monsters in the world were bad. She turned to look at Witch and felt a bit envious. "It seems this Lizard Spirit really cares for you; it's willing to sacrifice its thousand years of cultivation to save your life."
Witch's gaze deepened again as she glared at Xiang Xueer with great displeasure and scolded, "Don't talk about me; you have three foolish men who would die for you!"
Three foolish men? Xiang Xueer was taken aback for a moment, then immediately realized that the Witch was referring to Li Yunyang, Qingtian, and Lian Cheng Xue. She couldn't help but sneer, "Hey, please have some decency. Those three are my friends, not fools!"
"Hmph! All men are fools!" The Witch turned away without any courtesy. She never wanted to say too much about this Lizard Spirit; it seemed the two were indeed entangled in a complicated relationship.
However, Gu Liu Ma, could you please hurry up? If you keep dawdling, I might really have to report to the Rakshasa King. But then again, it’s not all bad; after all, that Rakshasa King is quite a handsome man, even if he has a bit of a temper.
After another two hours, sweat began to bead on the forehead of the Lizard Spirit. It was not easy to control the true essence precisely; it had to be just right—not too light and not too heavy. If it was too light, there would be no way to control Xiang Xueer’s Miasma poison; if it was too heavy, the demon's true essence could potentially harm her body.
Li Yunyang noticed that the Lizard Spirit seemed to be struggling and felt like thousands of ants were crawling in his heart. He paced back and forth in the cave anxiously until Lian Cheng Xue quickly grabbed him: "Brother Li, stop moving around! I'm about to faint!"
After observing for a long time at the cave entrance, Lan Ran Qingtian finally returned. The two hurriedly approached him: "What’s going on? Have they arrived yet?"
Qingtian shook his head: "Not yet, but the blizzard outside has calmed down a lot. I plan to go out and take a look; otherwise, when Gu Senior and the others arrive, they won't be able to find us!"
"That's best. Be careful!" After giving a few reminders, Qingtian headed toward the cave entrance. At this point, the entrance was completely piled with snow; he exerted tremendous effort just to step outside and began making his way up the mountain.
The Lizard Spirit seemed somewhat exhausted. Even with its thousand years of cultivation, it couldn't hold on much longer. As it approached its limit, its face grew increasingly pale, and beads of sweat fell like raindrops.
Seeing this, Li Yunyang quickly moved closer and sat behind it, slowly channeling his own true energy into its body: "Don't get distracted; I'm transferring my true energy into you!"
Lian Cheng Xue also came over. Although her cultivation was still shallow, she could contribute some energy as well. Thus, both of them began to transfer their true energy to the Lizard Spirit. At this moment, they stopped arguing and united their hearts solely to preserve the name of their beloved.
