Actually, there’s no need to ask; Autumn Wind already knows it must be Yao Guanghao calling. This person can be considered Leo's number one "frenemy" in Taiwan, always the go-to choice for Leo's escapades in Taipei. If it weren't for the fact that they had a history together, Autumn Wind would really start to wonder if his sexual orientation is the same as Leo's.
“Um... okay... I got it... um, the usual place...” Leo responded with a hesitant tone, clearly trying to keep it under wraps. Their conversation lasted less than a minute before Leo hurriedly hung up. After ending the call, he glanced at Autumn Wind, seemingly wanting to say something but not making a sound. At that moment, ina spoke up.
ina's voice carried a hint of jealousy. “Who was that? Which enchantress?”
“Why do you have the right to ask that?” Leo rolled his eyes dramatically at ina, showing no intention of continuing the conversation with her. His gaze shifted back to Autumn Wind, and he immediately changed his tone. “Are we taking the bus or a taxi...”
Leo's attitude completely infuriated ina. She picked up her bag and threw it hard at Leo. He stepped back just in time to dodge it, and then he fell silent, angrily walking toward the taxi.
“Hey, wait a minute... we’re not taking a taxi...” Autumn Wind quickly grabbed the suitcase from ina and chased after Leo, leading him toward Liu Jian's car.
Hearing Autumn Wind's voice, Liu Jian stepped out of the car. When he saw Autumn Wind running towards him with the suitcase, he quickened his pace to take the suitcase from her hands and gently placed it in the trunk. At that moment, ina also approached the car, and Liu Jian nodded and smiled at her before taking her suitcase as well.
Initially striding confidently, Leo suddenly stopped because of Liu Jian. He looked slightly stunned and turned to glance at Autumn Wind, wanting to express something but unsure what to say. During his brief moment of confusion, Autumn Wind had already opened the door and invited ina to sit inside. Taking a slight breath, Leo also got into the car.
Once both of them were seated inside, Autumn Wind opened the car door again and took the passenger seat.
After Autumn Wind settled in, Liu Jian opened the driver’s door and sat down. Once seated, he immediately leaned over and very slowly fastened Autumn Wind's seatbelt. She smiled gently, her face radiating happiness.
Seeing this made Leo suspect their relationship; he straightened his posture slightly and discreetly observed the interaction between Liu Jian and Autumn Wind. Once he was certain, he pulled out his phone app and messaged Autumn Wind: Is he that guy from that night?
Autumn Wind glanced back at Leo, noticing he was sitting far apart from ina in the backseat, with ina's dark blue handbag and Leo's laptop bag placed between them. They exchanged no glances, behaving like strangers.
Furrowing her brows slightly, Autumn Wind coughed lightly and said, “This is my boyfriend, jaes Liu Jian! This is Leo, his fiancée ina!” She introduced them in turn.
Through the rearview mirror, Liu Jian nodded at Leo.
Continuing on the app, Leo messaged Autumn Wind: You have a boyfriend now? Why didn’t you tell me? You liar! I’m mad!

The car drove on, and half an hour later, under Leo's direction, they arrived at the hotel he had booked. The moment the car stopped, Autumn Wind suddenly realized it was the same place where she and Jak had stayed last time.
Ina was full of excitement, while Leo's face was clouded with confusion. He looked helplessly at Autumn Wind, his eyes revealing a mix of bewilderment and anger. This gaze left Autumn Wind feeling powerless; her face began to twitch involuntarily. It was an extremely complex and contradictory feeling. On one hand, she understood Leo's pain, but on the other hand, she couldn't help but feel pity for Ina.
Perhaps seeing that Leo showed no intention of getting out of the car, Liu Jian had no choice but to unbuckle his seatbelt, get up, and retrieve the suitcase from the trunk. With a heavy "thud," the trunk closed behind him. The loud sound jolted Autumn Wind out of her thoughts; she couldn't help but shiver and then dazedly stepped out of the car.
A hotel staff member hurried over to help Leo with his suitcase. Liu Jian appeared ready to walk in with Leo, but before he could take a step forward, Autumn Wind pulled him back and called out to Leo: "You guys can rest first! Jaes and I have some things to do; you... you can rest first..."
Without waiting for Leo's reaction, Autumn Wind quickly dragged Liu Jian toward the car. Liu Jian wanted to say something but could only smile and greet Leo due to Autumn Wind's pull.
Because of Autumn Wind's hasty departure, Liu Jian's curiosity about Leo reached a boiling point. He was eager to know what had happened between Leo and Autumn Wind, and this fervor manifested in a barrage of questions during their drive home.
"Are you both from Pingtung?" "When did he go to America?" "Are you two close?" "Are you sure he's back this time to get married?" "Why do I feel like he has no feelings for his fiancée?"
Autumn Wind brushed off the earlier questions with simple answers, but when it came to the last question about Leo and Ina, she fell silent. It was a headache-inducing question for her; why would two people who clearly had no feelings for each other insist on being together? Did Ina really know nothing at all?
Facing Autumn Wind's silence, Liu Jian didn't press further. Despite having countless questions in his mind, he didn't dare to be as reckless as he had been with Qiu Mowen last time. Liu Jian had learned to be smarter; he felt that conversations between men were better conducted using a more practical approach rather than being overly candid.
Liu Jian concluded that insincerity was the key tool for human advancement.
Not long after returning home, Autumn Wind received a call from Ina, who spoke fluent Mandarin: "Hello... Alex is throwing a party for us; you and Jaes should come!"
Alex? Yao Guanghao? Autumn Wind thought to herself, "Okay, I got it..." She smiled as she hung up the phone without agreeing or refusing.
At that moment, Liu Jian came out after showering, wrapped in a towel and wearing only a pair of underwear. He wore his underwear low on his hips, droplets of water still glistening on his chest. His broad shoulders framed well-defined abs, and two distinct lines led down from his waist.
Autumn Wind swallowed hard and said pitifully, "Give me a break; don't be so sexy!"
Liu Jian exaggeratedly dried his hair and moved closer. He wrapped his arms around Autumn Wind's waist and kept blowing air into her ear: "What's wrong? Can't take it?"
Autumn Wind struggled playfully until they rolled onto the bed. He pouted and kissed her forehead: "Was that just now Leo?"
Autumn Wind shook her head, resting her arm on her forehead while gazing dreamily at Liu Jian: "It was Ina; she specifically called to invite you!"
Liu Jian pushed aside the bangs that fell over Autumn Wind's eyes and squinted at her with a sly expression: "Tell me the truth about you and Leo..."
"What about us? Is there anything different?" Autumn Wind interrupted him.
He clicked his tongue, tilted his head, and furrowed his brows slightly, as if deep in thought. "I've noticed that there seems to be something missing between Leo and Ina... Did you, in order to put my mind at ease and for your own peace of mind, specifically find an extra to play the role of his fiancée?"
Autumn Wind picked up a pillow and gently tapped Liu Jian on the head. "Do I really have that much charm? Leo, I... even if you lend me some looks, I wouldn't have that ability! But you? Hehe!" Autumn Wind gave an evil grin and slowly leaned closer to Liu Jian. "It seems like you might have a bit of potential!"
Liu Jian dramatically hugged himself and then suddenly thought of something. "Then why don't you go! Wait a minute..." He suddenly realized something. "What you just said? You mean Leo is..." He raised his right hand, bending his index and middle fingers a few times, blinking at Autumn Wind.

Suddenly, Autumn Wind thought of Yao Guanghao and looked at Liu Jian. "You? Do you want to attend that party?" Liu Jian didn't respond, only raising his eyebrows slightly. Autumn Wind pondered for a moment; when he had abruptly left earlier, Liu Jian had shown considerable confusion, as if not going to the party felt strange. But Yao Guanghao...
"Hey, darling, there's something I... please don't get mad!" Autumn Wind said hesitantly. Liu Jian sat on the edge of the bed and slowly moved closer to Autumn Wind, who placed a hand on his shoulder and gently lifted it, causing the bath towel to fall onto the bed.
Now half of his body was completely exposed before Autumn Wind. Autumn Wind lightly flicked his solid chest. "The reason I didn't accept Ina's invitation is indeed because there are people there I don't want to see. His name is Yao Guanghao, Leo's buddy, my ex-boyfriend!"
