On the phone, Fish briefly inquired about Autumn Wind's recent situation without mentioning anything from the Newspaper. Instead, Autumn Wind unexpectedly asked her, "Are you still living in the same building as Qiu Ruolan? Are there many reporters around lately?"
Fish did not answer immediately; she paused for a few seconds, her tone sounding quite urgent. "I moved... I'm not sure about things lately..."
Liu Jian couldn't believe that Autumn Wind had brought up Qiu Ruolan herself. He widened his eyes in shock as he looked at her.
Autumn Wind waved her hand, signaling Liu Jian, who was watching a video, to lower the volume. Then she shifted into a more comfortable position but noticed Liu Jian staring at her in disbelief. So, she turned her head slightly, giving him only a profile view.
Autumn Wind chatted briefly with Fish on the phone. It was clear that Fish was trying to comfort herself, but her tone revealed sorrow mixed with bitterness.
"What’s wrong?" After exchanging a few pleasantries, it was Autumn Wind who began to comfort Fish.
Hearing Autumn Wind's concerned voice, Fish could no longer hold back and started to sob. This made Autumn Wind anxious. "Hey, what’s wrong?!"
Unable to handle the situation, Fish let out a small whimper and hung up the phone.
