Shi Jie’s eyes darted around, seemingly much smarter than before. It appeared he was truly thinking on his feet as he reasoned with Ling Mo Xie.
Ling Mo Xie merely smiled dismissively and said, "How do you know I don't have the confidence to win against you? I think you're overestimating yourself." As he spoke, Ling Mo Xie's voice turned sharp as he prepared to take action against Shi Jie. Xiao Chi had somehow pulled out a candied hawthorn and was eating it, blocking Shi Jie's escape route.
"Search! You all, go over there! Make sure to find that Evil Cultivator!"
At that moment, a commanding voice rang out, followed by the rustling sound of bushes being disturbed.
Ling Mo Xie frowned. What was going on? Were these people from Da Luo Sect? Why were they searching here? This place was already not far from Da Luo Sect's base.
Previously, hadn't the people from Da Luo Sect been searching in Chiyan City? Could it be... Bai Yunfei and the others were exposed and managed to escape?
