Ling Mo Xie naturally understood that since this was a Trial as mentioned by the system, it couldn't be as simple as just turning into a forest.

However, Ling Mo Xie's commonly used skills were all Sword System Skills, along with a water-type variant called Frostfall. These skills did not inflict much damage on the Trees; at most, they left marks on them.
These marks could not stop the movement of the Trees!
Even Frostfall merely slowed down the Trees' advance but did not have any additional effect. In fact, Ling Mo Xie noticed that after using this skill, the Trees appeared even greener.
As he continuously cast skills, Ling Mo Xie even unleashed Stunning Sword. At this point, the space he occupied had become very small; he could not make large movements as he was completely surrounded by the Trees.
Stunning Sword was temporarily Ling Mo Xie's most powerful skill. When it was unleashed, it had a decent effect; several Trees fell in response and were chopped into pieces. "Whoosh!" A loud sound erupted as Ling Mo Xie saw several fire bulls composed of flames appear before him. The ground beneath him was covered in flickering flames as they charged toward the Trees ahead.
"Boom!" The space where Ling Mo Xie stood had already been largely occupied by the Trees and was quite small. Thus, the fire bulls quickly collided with the trunks of the Trees. A sound like an explosion rang out as the fire bulls instantly dissipated into a sea of flames that almost immediately engulfed dozens of tall Trees ahead. As the flames danced, Ling Mo Xie could see wisps of blue smoke rising.
With the emergence of blue smoke came crackling sounds of burning.
"Crack, crack!" With a few cracking sounds, the dozens of tall Trees in front of Ling Mo Xie fell down, soon being burned to charcoal by the remaining flames. Dozens of green lights surged toward Ling Mo Xie's forehead.
Having experienced these green lights before, Ling Mo Xie did not evade them; instead, he allowed them to merge into his forehead. A refreshing sensation spread through him, making him feel that his vitality had greatly increased.
As a large area of Trees collapsed in front of him, the space Ling Mo Xie occupied expanded significantly, easing his mind. Since the Fire Attribute Skills he had just acquired were powerful, these Trees were no longer a threat. This second round of testing was halfway completed, right?
The cooldown time for the Fire Bull Charge was three minutes. Ling Mo Xie was certain that this time would not be enough for the Trees to crush him into a meat patty, but he did not want to just wait around; he decided to try out other skills.
With a thought, a black-red Fire Crow appeared before Ling Mo Xie. This was the skill called Fire Crow Summon.
At first glance, the Fire Crow did not seem to be made of flames; it appeared to be just a strangely colored crow without any physical form. However, as the caster of the skill, Ling Mo Xie knew that this Fire Crow was indeed composed of flames and had no real life.
The flames circled around Ling Mo Xie a few times and cawed several times like a real crow, causing Ling Mo Xie to smile. This skill resembled a summoning type; fortunately, if he did not let the Fire Crow self-destruct, it could only exist for twenty-four hours. Otherwise, he might develop feelings for it and hesitate to let it self-destruct.
Ling Mo Xie could clearly feel that with just a thought, he could command the Fire Crow as if it were an extension of himself. Curious about its power, he immediately directed the Fire Crow to fly in front of a tall Tree and issued an attack command.
Following Ling Mo Xie's intent, the Fire Crow cawed and shot out a jet of flame from its mouth. At first, the flame was small, which disappointed Ling Mo Xie as he watched closely; such flames probably wouldn't cause much damage to the Tree.
This was understandable since the Fire Crow's body wasn't very large—about the size of an ordinary crow. If Ling Mo Xie didn't know this was his skill, he might have mistaken the Fire Crow for an ordinary crow.
However, although the flame started small, it seemed to grow with the wind. By the time it reached the Tree, it had transformed into a roaring blaze that effortlessly engulfed it. Soon after, there was a series of cracking sounds as the Tree collapsed and turned to charcoal.
Ling Mo Xie was taken aback; this power was quite impressive. Although it wasn't as powerful as Fire Bull Charge, this was merely a regular attack from one skill. It should be noted that what made Fire Crow Summon truly remarkable was its self-destruction!
Moreover, this ordinary attack from the Fire Crow consumed negligible energy—much less than that of Fire Bull Charge.
With one attack from the Fire Crow toppling a Tree in about half a minute—much faster than being crushed by the Trees—having this Fire Crow meant that this second round of Trial was nearly complete.
Of course, this was just Ling Mo Xie's optimistic thought. However, at present, things were indeed going as he imagined: every half minute, the Fire Crow knocked down one Tree. Before long, Ling Mo Xie's living space had expanded significantly.
All he needed to do was follow behind and let the flames do their work while green lights continuously merged into his forehead. His experience bar grew rapidly as if fueled by hormones; before long, he leveled up.
Time passed without him noticing. The space Ling Mo Xie occupied had become quite large. He began to grow weary of this inefficient progress; there seemed to be no end to the Trees ahead—he wondered how many more there were.
Ling Mo Xie commanded the Fire Crow to fly toward the densely packed Trees at the front. These Trees grew together like a wooden wall; between two Trees, there was barely enough space for an arm to fit through.
“Rumbling!” A violent sound erupted, and the ground seemed to tremble. Fire Crow crashed into Trees without hesitation, instantly transforming into a massive fireball that exploded with a loud bang.
“Crack, crack...” The sound continued as countless Trees fell.
Countless strands of Green Light twisted and flew toward Ling Mo Xie. Originally, each strand was only as thick as a hair, but now they intertwined to form something at least as thick as a thigh. As they approached Ling Mo Xie, they constantly changed until they finally turned into a drop of green liquid.
“Splash!” A light sound echoed as the green liquid struck Ling Mo Xie's forehead like a raindrop, almost instantly disappearing and merging into him.
At that moment, all the Trees vanished, and Ling Mo Xie closed his eyes, rising several levels while emanating a hazy green glow.
With a soft “pop,” a sound of breaking earth came from beneath Ling Mo Xie's feet as a green Seedling sprouted. Although Ling Mo Xie's mind became clearer and calmer with the merging of the Green Liquid, he seemed to be trapped in an inexplicable world and did not notice what was quietly happening beneath him.
The green Seedling was clearly no ordinary plant; it grew rapidly, transforming into a type of Vines. In less than half a minute, the Vines became thicker than a finger and continued to grow.
The growth speed was visible to the naked eye; within three minutes, it had thickened to the size of a forearm. At this moment, the Vines began to move as if alive, wrapping around Ling Mo Xie. The Vines split into two, spiraling around him continuously until they completely enveloped him like a giant green chrysalis.
Meanwhile, Ling Mo Xie's mind was fully immersed in that mysterious world, unaware of everything happening to him.
He could only feel himself entering an extraordinary realm where plants behaved like humans, experiencing joy, anger, sorrow, and even having their own lives.
