"Zhe zhe, it feels just like the real thing," Feng Hongwen laughed and cursed madly, "Fei'er, at this moment, I truly feel 'the blue surpasses the blue' and 'the later waves push the earlier waves.' I am ashamed to be compared to you." 0

Feng Yinfai, however, was not angered by this mockery. He quietly knelt and listened until the end, then with a flicker of his gaze, he made his final statement: "Father, elder brother, and Sister-in-law, although everything I have done was out of necessity, it has also led to loss of life, a crime that cannot be forgiven. I request punishment," he paused for a moment, a cold smile creeping into the corners of his narrowed eyes. "As for mother and Uncle, their rebellious and immoral actions have produced a bastard child, committing murder to silence witnesses. Their crimes are heinous; I will not show any favoritism. I only wish for them to die quickly to appease the spirits of Legal Wife and Second House's master." 0

Zhuo Min never expected that after waiting eagerly for her son Feng Yinfai to return, he would become her "death warrant": 0

"Fei'er, you ungrateful child!" Zhuo Min thought one way in her heart but cursed him aloud. "I did all this for you, my ungrateful son! Initially, it was because of that Bastard being inferior," she continued angrily. "Later I finally became the legitimate wife, yet you still couldn't amount to anything! You can't even compare to Feng Yinxiao; what can you achieve?!" 0

Yun Kexin keenly noticed that Feng Yinfai's calm face suddenly tensed up almost to the point of distortion but then returned to a fleeting composure. This person's depth was evident. Feng Yinfai slowly stood up and walked over to Feng Hongwen and Zhuo Min, coldly smiling: "Mother, I will call you mother one last time—how noble! For your son, you shamelessly committed adultery with your brother-in-law and bore a bastard child, making me lose face and unable to hold my head high in the Duke's residence. Is this also for me?!" His anger grew stronger. "If it were truly for me, I wouldn't care; you are my lifelong shame! I have no mother like you who lacks any sense of decency!" 0

"You! You!" Zhuo Min was so choked up that her face turned red and her neck thickened; she couldn't utter a word. By the time she thought of what to say, Feng Yinfai had already turned away coldly and requested punishment from his father again. 0

"Come here!" Feng Hongrui frowned and commanded loudly, "Family Law is at your service!" 0

Several guards entered; four of them carried a long bench in front and behind. They first untied Feng Hongwen and Zhuo Min from their chairs and dragged them aside before placing the long bench in the center. Finally, they awkwardly lifted both onto the long bench. 0

"Duke, Duke," Zhuo Min turned her head to look at the guards holding thick wooden staffs and long whips on either side. She was immediately frightened pale and cried out, "Consort was wrong; I won't dare again! Please give Consort a chance to repent; after all, I've served you for over ten years." 0

Feng Hongrui ignored her completely and issued an order: "Do it!" 0

As soon as he finished speaking, heavy wooden staffs and leather whips fell like rain on Jiangyin Hou and Zhuo Min. In an instant, the ancestral hall was filled with heart-wrenching cries. 0

Feng Hongwen lay on the long bench, gripping tightly onto the leg rest with both hands. His face turned purple from suffocation as he gritted his teeth: 0

"If you have the guts, just take my life with one knife! If you can't kill me with this beating, I'll make each of you pay with your lives." He found it unbearable to die slowly like this; each strike felt worse than death itself as they hit his wounds with saltwater-soaked whips. "Come on! Just stab me already!" 0

Feng Yinxiao coldly smiled: "Do you really think you can walk out of this ancestral hall alive? Don't forget how you used Family Law to 'teach' me back then; today is just letting you taste your own medicine. What? Can't handle it already? I'm curious how long you can keep up your bravado!" 0

He then signaled to several guards holding staffs and whips. 0

Just as Feng Hongwen was about to curse back, he suddenly received a brutal blow on his back that split open his skin and flesh. He could only howl in agony without caring about anything else. 0

"Lord Duke, Lord Duke, please show mercy," Zhuo Min's hair was disheveled, her cries growing sharper with each utterance. "Consort, anything, anything," seeing the guards executing the Family Law pause at Feng Hongrui's command, Zhuo Min swallowed hard and said eagerly, "Yes, I poisoned Lady Ling, but all of this was done at Feng Hongwen's behest. If he hadn't killed Lady Ling, I would forever be a concubine, destined to be trampled by her. The two bastard daughters would suffer endless humiliation and would never have a chance to rise again, let alone be buried in the ancestral tomb..." Her urgency and anxiety made her words incoherent as she nervously tilted her head up, waiting for Feng Hongrui's reaction. 0

"What about my father?" Yun Ke's voice was soft but carried a heavy pressure. "He has no enmity with you; what benefit do you gain from killing him?" 0

"Isn't it because of this killer?" Zhuo Min painfully extended a hand and pointed directly at Feng Hongwen. "As long as he helps Third Madam accomplish this task, if successful, he gains an ally; if it fails, he can just be a scapegoat and push everything onto Third Madam." Zhuo Min turned her head but dared not look at Yun Ke anymore; her voice grew quieter. "Because Jiangyin Marquis knows too well the deep-seated grievances between the Fu Family and the Second House. He is always thinking of how to use them and even attempts to exploit Lord Feng's feelings for the Second House to create trouble for his own purposes." She paused and looked at Feng Hongrui. "Lord Duke, what Consort said is all true. Fei'er is right; I am foolish—foolish enough to make a wedding dress for others and still get bitten back when it comes to the crunch. I truly deserve to be struck by lightning!" 0

She thought this would provoke an even more intense retort from Feng Hongwen, but unexpectedly he laughed maniacally, both mocking and derisive: 0

"Hahaha, Zhuo Family, you wretched woman! How many more secrets do you have? Spill them all; after all, I'm dead anyway and don't care about anything anymore. But you—so afraid of death that you expose your family's shame! Do you really think Feng Hongrui will let you go? What a narrow-minded view! If it were me, I would definitely drown you in a pig cage," he paused and said harshly, "you might as well become a ghost together and haunt the Feng family's ancestors in hell." 0

"Feng Yinxiao, how did this scoundrel deal with you last time?" came Feng Hongrui's calm voice from above. "Today we will deal with him in the same way. I will avenge you today! Attack!" 0

With a single command, the cries mixed with curses from Jiangyin Marquis and Zhuo Min echoed again in the ancestral hall. Feng Hongwen shouted without restraint: "Feng Hongrui, you old fool! You have the heart of a thief but not the courage; you only dare to hide in your room secretly longing for me. Killing Yun You was just to help you get Yue—" 0

"I'll kill you! I'll kill you!" Yun Kexin pulled out a short knife in grief and rushed towards Jiangyin Marquis, stabbing him in the back before pulling it out and stabbing again fiercely. "You shameless scoundrel! Murderer! Give me back my father! Give me back my father!" 0

Feng Yinxiao was taken aback and wanted to step forward to stop her but found himself unable to move due to heartache. Both Yun Ke and Yun Yang stood up simultaneously to intervene, but Feng Yinxiao spread his arms wide to block them. 0

Yun Kexin kept repeating "Give me back my father! Give me back my father!" as she mercilessly stabbed the knife into Jiangyin Marquis's body repeatedly. Fresh blood splattered across her face and clothes; she remained oblivious as she continued demanding Jiangyin Marquis's life... 0

"Yun Kexin! Yun Kexin! Stop! Stop!" Feng Yinxiao stood behind her trying to take away the short knife. "He is already dead; Feng Hongwen is dead." 0

"Let go! I want revenge for my father! Revenge for my father!" Tears had dried on Yun Kexin's face, yet her hands could not stop moving as she mechanically swung the knife while crying out. "Let go! I want to kill him! Revenge for my father!" 0

Completely unaware that Jiangyin Marquis had already lost his breath in a bloody mess, Zhuo Min fainted from shock. 0

Seeing that Yun Kexin seemed somewhat out of her mind, Feng Yinxiao did not hesitate to strike her on the back of the neck. With a loud thud, the short knife fell to the ground as Yun Kexin collapsed straight into Feng Yinxiao's arms. 0

"Father, please handle matters behind this," he said as he picked her up as if cradling the most precious treasure in the world—urgent yet not gentle. "The rest can be discussed later." 0

“Shanling, Shining, Shan Yue,” Feng Yinxiao rushed into Yihe Garden, giving orders efficiently, “One of you go heat water for the lady to cleanse herself, and the two of you come in with me to help.” 0

Shan Yue went to boil water, while Shanling and Shining followed closely behind into the bedroom, quickly helping Yun Kexin change out of her “blood-stained clothes.” They were shocked, thinking that Yun Kexin was injured, but upon discovering there were no wounds, Feng Yinxiao irritably stated that he didn’t want to explain right now. The two patiently waited for Shan Yue to finish heating the water, then helped pour it into the bathtub, finally giving Yun Kexin a bath and wiping her down... 0

Later that night, Yun Kexin woke up to see the candlelight still flickering in the room. Feng Yinxiao was lying on the bed beside her, facing her with his eyes closed. She struggled to recall what had happened earlier; she still felt heartbroken and wanted to cry. She gently sniffed, trying to hold back her voice, but still startled Feng Yinxiao. It seemed there were a thousand words he couldn’t express; he simply gazed quietly at her tear-filled eyes and reached out to gently stroke her face. When she saw he was awake, she merely raised the corners of her lips in a serene manner but did not smile. 0

“Yun Kexin, are you feeling better?” After a long while, he softly asked, “It’s all over now. Don’t worry; I’m here.” 0

“Feng Yinxiao, you shouldn’t have stopped me,” Yun Kexin wiped away the tears on her cheeks and said lightly, “I wanted to kill him and make him pay for Father’s life!” 0

“He’s dead,” Feng Yinxiao calmly informed her, showing little emotion on his face as he blinked his eyes. “Can someone stabbed by Yun Kexin’s dagger like a porcupine still be alive?!” 0

A hint of astonishment flashed in Yun Kexin’s misty eyes: stabbed like a porcupine? She only remembered losing control completely at that moment, knowing only that she had “struck with the knife” without realizing how many times she had stabbed. All she thought about was taking the life of the Jiangyin Marquis, blood for blood, until she suddenly lost consciousness from a blow to the back of her neck. 0

“Will you blame me?” Yun Kexin asked. 0
