The hissing sound continued, mixed with some static, making it hard to hear clearly. I stared at the radio, feeling a bit anxious. 0

"Come on," I urged. 0

The hissing grew louder, but still no coherent words emerged. 0

"Come on!" I said, growing more impatient as I turned the dial faster. 0

Still nothing. 0

I focused on the radio; it seemed to be staring back at me. 0

"You're not helping." 0

Time ticked away, and my patience was wearing thin. 0

"Are you even working?" 0

It continued to hiss. 0

I sighed and gave up on it, standing up to pace around the security room. 0

In the corner, there was a dark shape; I leaned in for a closer look and saw several brooms. 0

I crouched down, picked one out, and weighed it in my hands. 0

Not bad; it felt sturdy enough. 0

Holding the broom, I turned around, but my gaze couldn't help drifting back to the radio. 0

It was still hissing away, the erratic signals becoming increasingly frustrating. 0

I leaned the broom against the wall and walked back to the table. 0

Looking down at the radio, it seemed to be looking back at me too. 0

"Useless thing, I..." 0

Before I could finish my thought, the sound from the radio suddenly changed. 0

No longer just a monotonous hiss, it now mixed in with other sounds. 0

I was momentarily stunned, then quickly reacted and hurriedly leaned down to listen. 0

Inside, a slow melody drifted out, resembling some kind of symphony, with a deep, oppressive, and mournful tone. Amidst the music, I faintly heard a human voice. 0

"…back to…" 0

"What?" I pressed my ear closer. 0

"…back to…" 0

Still unclear. 0

I gritted my teeth and adjusted the knob again. 0

"…back to…" 0

"What do you want to say?" I asked irritably. 0

"…back to… the past…" 0

My heart sank suddenly. 0

I jerked my head up but felt a wave of dizziness wash over me. 0

That voice… it sounded as if it were coming through water, hoarse and low, as if it were emanating from the bottom of a pool. 0

"…back to the past." 0

Back to the past? 0

In a panic, I adjusted the knob again, trying to catch more information. 0

"…complete the ritual…" 0

"…elevator…" 0

"…reality…" 0

Fragmented words came through intermittently; I held my breath and focused all my attention on listening. 0

"…back to the past… complete the ritual… elevator… reality…" 0

I mechanically repeated the words I heard, and I vaguely understood something in my heart. "Complete the ritual... and then I can leave here?" I asked. The radio was silent for a long time. Just when I thought it would stop talking, the hoarse voice sounded again. "...Complete the ritual." I took a deep breath and clenched the broom in my hand. This is the only chance, I must seize it. "Complete what ritual?" I couldn't figure it out. "What ritual?" The radio was silent again. I gritted my teeth, thought about it, and leaned over again. I turned the knob back to the previous position. The hoarse voice sounded again, still with those few words. "...Go back to the past...Complete the ritual...Elevator...Reality..." I closed my eyes and listened carefully. "Go back to the past, complete the ritual, elevator, reality." I whispered, "Go back to the past first, then complete the ritual, and then take the elevator to reality?" 0
