"Ugh..." 0

A wave of intense nausea surged within me, accompanied by anger that nearly made me vomit. I struggled desperately, wanting to escape from this place, but my body was completely out of control, held firmly in place by the swaddling. 0

At that moment, someone else came to hold me down and forced another bowl of foul-smelling liquid into my mouth... 0

"Don't, please don't..." 0

I fought with all my might, but it was futile; the liquid flowed down my throat and into my stomach. As the last remnants of consciousness faded away, I fell once again into that endless darkness... 0

Chapter Six 0

After a long time, I slowly opened my eyes and was immediately stunned. 0

Where am I? 0

I found myself crouching alone in a dimly lit forest. 0

The scene before me felt very wrong; this was not an ordinary forest. It was dark and silent, devoid of birdsong or the chirping of insects; even the air felt unreal. 0

I crouched on the ground, staring at a tree in front of me. Its bark was deeply grooved and cracked in several places, with what seemed to be liquid seeping out; I could even see the milky-white sap. 0

Scattered at my feet were fallen leaves, and I could clearly make out the veins on them. 0

Everything appeared unnaturally vivid. 0

"What on earth is happening?" 0

I murmured softly, glancing around and realizing there was no one else here besides me. 0

I slowly stood up, stepping on the leaves beneath me; they crunched softly underfoot, their sound particularly pronounced in the stillness of the forest. 0

This is all so strange; how can I see such clear details? 0

It felt as if my eyes had night vision capabilities—though it was dim, I could see many things clearly. 0

However, scientifically speaking, one cannot see in dark environments; even if I adapted to the darkness, I should only be able to make out some outlines—not see everything so distinctly. 0

I looked up through the layers of branches and saw the mottled moonlight filtering down. 0

That's not right; this isn't normal. 0
I lowered my head and looked around. The trees were dense, their canopies large. Logically, the moonlight should have a hard time filtering through the leaves, yet I could clearly see the moon. 0
It was as if a beam of light was shining directly on it. 0
I looked ahead; even though my feet weren't touching the ground in front of me, I could feel the gravel and weeds beneath me. 0
My feet could even sense the hardness of the gravel and the softness of the weeds. 0
I crouched down and looked at the tree trunk in front of me. 0
It was rough but very moist. 0
I was certain of that. 0
But this shouldn't be something my eyes could perceive; it was a sense of touch. 0
I could feel the roughness of the bark and the moisture of the sap, not through my hands, but through my mind. 0
It was as if... I had personally touched it. 0
But how could that be? I had merely glanced at it. 0
Suddenly, a scream shattered the tranquility of the woods. 0
My heart raced, and I immediately crouched down, cautiously moving toward the direction of the sound. 0
There were people ahead. 0
I advanced slowly and finally hid behind a tree, carefully peeking out. 0
In front of me was a group of armored soldiers holding torches, surrounding several individuals. 0
Upon closer inspection, I found that those surrounded were dressed in traditional ethnic clothing. 0
Their eyes were strange; their pupils were not black but gray, and there was no white part to their eyes, making them look quite eerie. 0
Their eyes were hollow and devoid of spirit, like... those of blind people. 0
