Bai Tang admired the few Soldiers who stood up in times of crisis. Facing their backs, Bai Tang cast a skill called “Blessing,” increasing several people's attributes by ten percent for thirty minutes. The man walking suddenly felt a warm force invade his body without warning. Just as he was startled and prepared to resist with all his strength, he realized that the force meant him no harm and was actually beneficial. His strength increased, his speed improved, and both the intensity of his body and his senses were significantly enhanced. What was happening? The man was puzzled and glanced at the others, who also looked confused; their momentum had increased slightly, indicating they too had received that power, though no one knew its source.
The man withdrew his gaze from the others and said in a deep voice, “Now is not the time to dwell on mysterious powers; the most important thing is to drive back the Pirates.”
The others nodded and quickened their pace. The man paused for a moment, looking back at the restaurant, where no one remained; a woman who seemed to be a strong fighter had already left. Did she help them? The man speculated.
Bai Tang walked down the corridor toward the cockpit, suspecting that someone on the Spaceship was colluding with the Pirates, putting both the Captain and Staff in danger. All passengers had entered their Cabins, and the Staff had returned to their posts. The corridor was empty, with cold materials glinting ominously, creating a psychological pressure. When Bai Tang reached the end of the corridor, she found a door separating the passenger area from the Spaceship's work area. It required a password to open; otherwise, due to its hardness, even an absolute master of level fifteen Martial Arts would be unable to break it.
Bai Tang touched the metal door and stepped back, pulling out a strangely styled Longsword: one side of the blade was sharp while the other had serrations; the grip had a slight curve with a pointed spike at the end. Familiar? Indeed, it was Wei Zhuang's weapon, Shark Tooth. In Qin Shi Ming Yue, Bai Tang's favorite character was Wei Zhuang. Upon seeing Shark Tooth in the game shop, she immediately purchased it.
Channeling her Qi into Shark Tooth, it erupted with an eerie glow that dazzled her eyes.
“Shark Tooth, let me see your demonic sword's power!”
The light on Shark Tooth surged by a foot as if responding to Bai Tang's words.
“Go!” With a flick of her wrist, she released the demonic light from the sword's body, striking the metal door. There was a hissing sound as a three-foot-long crack appeared in the hard metal. Bai Tang stepped forward, gripping both sides of the crack and pulling; she tore open a large hole in the metal door. A smell of blood wafted out from within—she was too late! Quickly, Bai Tang entered through the opening into the work area. Faster than her movements was her Divine Sense, which swiftly infiltrated the central control room. Sure enough, several Pirates had taken all the Staff hostage. On the floor lay a dead Staff, while a work-clothed Pirate held a gun to the Captain's head, demanding he reveal the password to control the Spaceship.
“Mosca, I never expected you to be an undercover agent for the Pirates!” The Captain shouted angrily.
Mosca laughed arrogantly: “Who told you your judgment was poor? Heh heh, I’ve been posing as Sunzi beside you for months for this operation; now it's time to collect my reward.”
He pulled the trigger; with a scream from the Captain, blood erupted from his right leg—rendering it useless.
Mosca pressed the gun barrel against the Captain's temple again: “Don't make me ask for it a third time—what's the password!”
Captain pressed his lips tightly together, no longer making any sounds of moaning, his gaze resolute, unafraid of life or death.
Mosca grinned savagely: "Actually, it doesn't matter whether we get the password or not. If we can't control the entire Spaceship, we might as well blow it up. We 'Interstellar Skeleton' aren't short on money for a Spaceship. As for the people on board, I'll have them accompany you to the grave. How about that?"
"You beast!" Captain roared.
"Goodbye, no, never to be seen again." Mosca had murder in his heart and squeezed the trigger with force.
"Ah—" A scream rang out, but it did not come from Captain, rather it was Mosca, whose hand was severed at the wrist, dropping along with the laser gun to the ground.
"Who is it?" A Pirate shouted in alarm, but in the next moment, he was sent flying. One after another, Pirate after Pirate fell to the ground, spitting blood. The quick-witted Staff reacted quickly, picking up the weapons of the Pirate and subduing them.
"Which noble person has come to our aid? Please show yourself!" Captain was helped up by a Staff, bowing towards the door. No one responded. After a few minutes, Captain sighed and straightened up, "The expert does not wish to reveal themselves; we are not fortunate enough to meet such a strong individual."
"Captain, we are still very lucky; at least a strong person came to save us," Staff Member A said. Surviving this ordeal! He thought today would be his last; thanks to the expert for saving him! Expert, although I have not seen your true face, I will set up an everlasting tablet for you and offer incense three times a day, hoping for your long life!
"Yes, we are very lucky." Upon hearing this, Captain felt invigorated and raised his head proudly to issue orders: "Everyone return to your posts, activate the level two shield, retreat and disengage from the battlefield! Activate the attack system and be aware of reinforcements!"
"Captain, your leg is still bleeding; you should go to the medical room for treatment!" Staff Member B suggested.
"No need!" Captain waved his hand. "My injury is just that—an injury. The most important thing now is to drive back the Pirate and ensure the passengers safely reach Gait Star."
Captain's example moved the other Staff, inspiring them with determination as they swiftly returned to their respective posts. The entire Spaceship sprang into action. Seeing this, Bai Tang felt half of her worries lift. Although she could escape from the siege of the Pirate alone, she truly could not bear to see so many people die. Now that the safety factor of the Spaceship had increased, she naturally felt happy about it.
Return to the Observation Deck, where one can clearly see the battle between both sides in the universe. The main battleship of the Pirates is a medium-sized Flagship, which releases countless types of warships like a beehive. Our side only has two large Medium Warships, putting us at a significant disadvantage in terms of numbers and seemingly weaponry as well. However, the pilot of the warship is highly skilled, maneuvering deftly through the enemy's fire network, avoiding damage while occasionally shooting down one or two enemy ships.
Bai Tang watches in awe; Hollywood's sci-fi films could never capture such a spectacular and shocking scene of war. Only the special effects of Starcraft could convey a fraction of it.
Three Medium Warships and two Mechas appear on the battlefield, joining the fight. They must be those soldiers on leave, Bai Tang thinks. Indeed, the newly joined Medium Warship pilots are far more skilled than those of the Pirates' Medium Warships, skillfully dodging Pirate fire and taking down ship after ship.
The Pirates are caught off guard by the sudden reinforcements and fall into chaos, losing over a dozen Medium Warships to our fleet's attack. The Pirates quickly adjust their tactics, recalling some Medium Warships and deploying dozens of Mechas.
Both Mechas and Medium Warships are operated by a single pilot, but Mechas are much more agile and destructive than Medium Warships. The soldiers are taken aback; they did not expect "Interstellar Skeleton" to possess so many Mechas! Those who can operate Mechas would definitely be valued by Alliance F. Why would they abandon a bright future to become Pirates? The soldiers cannot comprehend this, their spirits sinking as they realize that with only two large Medium Warships, three Medium Warships, and two Mechas, how can they possibly contend against the enemy's Flagship, eighteen Mechas, and numerous Medium Warships?
Things are looking grim for our side! Not only Bai Tang sees this; the Staff on the Spaceship also notices. The Captain decisively makes a choice.
“Attention passengers, please proceed immediately to the emergency escape hatch. Our Staff will arrange for you to board the emergency escape ships and take you to safety!”
“Once again, attention passengers, please proceed immediately to the emergency escape hatch. Our Staff will arrange for you to board the emergency escape ships and take you to safety!”
“Once again, attention passengers, please proceed immediately to the emergency escape hatch. Our Staff will arrange for you to board the emergency escape ships and take you to safety!”
After three consecutive announcements, chaotic footsteps can be heard outside as disorder erupts within the Spaceship. Passengers panic and rush through the corridors; initially hopeful that the Spaceship could safely evade the Pirates and reach their destination, but just over ten minutes later, they find themselves in a situation where they must abandon ship. Can they truly escape this disaster?
The Staff maintain order in the corridor, guiding passengers toward the emergency escape hatch while two others check each room to ensure no one is left behind for any reason. The door to the observation deck swings open as a Staff member peeks in and is startled upon seeing Bai Tang.
“What are you still doing here? Hurry up and leave for the emergency escape hatch!”
“Where is the Battle Exit?” Bai Tang asked.
“What?” Staff did not react immediately.
“Take me to the Battle Exit.” Bai Tang walked towards Staff.
“What do you want to go to the Battle Exit for?”
“Of course, to go out and fight! I have a Mecha!” Bai Tang replied.
Staff's eyes lit up. A Mecha? That's great; it adds more combat power to their side!
“I'll take you there right away!” Staff grabbed Bai Tang and ran out of the Observation Deck. Although just a service staff on the Spaceship, Staff's quality was impressive, moving much faster than Liu Xiang, reaching the Battle Exit in less than half a minute.
Bai Tang took out the fly-5, its dazzling and majestic appearance made Staff starry-eyed.
“Help me open the exit!” Bai Tang said as she entered the Mecha control room. She took a deep breath; this was her first battle—killing a few pawns in ancient times didn’t count as a real battle!
