“Shrimp?” the three of them said in unison.
“You actually know about time travel?” Wu Xiuwen’s finger was almost poking Guo Dajie’s nose.
“Are you a time traveler?” Wu Dunru asked.
“I was reborn with memories,” Guo Fu admitted her identity as a time traveler. Over the years, she had come to understand the personalities of the three. Initially wary of Lu Wushuang, she later realized that aside from some initial pride typical of time travelers, this girl was actually pure and kind-hearted. Even if she revealed her identity as a fellow time traveler, there would be no dramatic conflict between them.
“You really kept this from us! Were you trying to see us make fools of ourselves?” Wu Xiuwen asked.
“I was afraid you would act like the ones described, persecuting each other for personal gain,” she replied.
“Then why did you reveal your identity?” Wu Dunru asked.
“Well, after all these years, I’ve seen your character. Since you’re troubled because of my parents, I thought it was a good opportunity to come forward and recognize you. Many hands make light work!”
“Haha, now you know we’re good people! Hmph, in the past when I gave you signals, you ignored me,” Lu Wushuang pouted.
“I didn’t understand many of your signals.”
“You didn’t understand?” Lu Wushuang shouted. “You really don’t know what ‘Pu Da Xi Ben’ means?”
Guo Fu shook her head: “I don’t know.”
“What about ‘Yuan Fang, what do you think’?”
“Who is Yuan Fang?”
“You don’t even know who Yuan Fang is? When did you travel here?”
“2000.”
"Is it any wonder you don't know! You've actually crossed over ten years earlier than me." Lu Wushuang circled around Guo Fu, "Are you older than all of us?"
"Of course." Guo Fu joked, "You can all call me sister!"
"Junior Sister!" the three of them said in unison. Hmph. Even if you were older in your previous life, your age in this life is what matters, so just obediently be our Junior Sister.
"You guys!" Guo Fu gritted her teeth, "Serious business!"
"Alright, serious business!" Wu Dunru said. "What you meant earlier was to capture the emperors of the Southern Song and Mongolia all at once?"
"Not just the emperors. There are also corrupt officials and sycophants from the Southern Song and talented individuals from Mongolia. Most importantly, we need to take down Kublai."
"You need to be careful! These people must have powerful protectors around them, and there are also a bunch of ordinary soldiers. Although each individual’s combat power is weak, when combined, a rain of arrows would be impossible for even Wuming to dodge." Wu Xiuwen scoffed, thinking Guo Fu was being unrealistic.
"Since I proposed this suggestion, I have the confidence to accomplish it." Guo Fu released her aura, which, although only a quarter of her full strength, still left the three of them gasping for breath.
"You don't have some kind of game system or cheat, do you?" Lu Wushuang patted her chest; that momentary pressure was overwhelming. Fortunately, Guo Fu retracted it quickly.
"No. I've been reborn twice. In this life, I started cultivating the techniques I learned from my previous life as soon as I was born." Guo Fu explained.
"What technique is so powerful? Can it compare to the Nine Yang Divine Art and the Nine Yin Manual?" Wu Xiuwen asked defiantly. He believed that Guo Fu must have started practicing while still in the womb to possess such strong abilities; after all, a newborn baby with a bit of true energy could cultivate martial arts much more effectively as long as it didn't dissipate.
"The Supreme Clarity and Great Mystery Classic."
"Why does that name sound more like a cultivation technique?" Wu Dunru rubbed his chin.
"This is the cultivation technique from Yong City."
"Yong City?" The three of them echoed in unison.
"It can't be the Yong City I'm thinking of, right?" Wu Xiuwen said in disbelief.
"How do you know about Yong City?" Guo Fu asked in surprise. "Gu Jian Qi Tan: Where Are the Heart and Sword?" was released on July 10, 2010, in the three regions across the Taiwan Strait, so Guo Dajie naturally had not played it.
"Junior Sister traveled to this time early, so she naturally hasn't played 'Gu Jian Qi Tan,'" Wu Dunru finished this sentence and handed over the speaking rights to Lu Wushuang, allowing her to inform Guo Fu about 'Gu Jian Qi Tan.'
"So I have traveled into the game!" Guo Fu felt both proud and happy after listening to Lu Wushuang's explanation. It turned out that the outcome for the boss and Su Su in the game was so tragic. Hehe, this butterfly effect I created was great! Neither of them died, and everyone else got a happy ending.
"Is 'Gu Jian Qi Tan' fun?" Yuan Mingyi asked.
"It's okay," Bai Tang replied without looking up. "Mainly, the story is quite interesting; otherwise, it doesn't have advantages over other online games."
"Then I'll give it a try. Once you finish writing, make sure to show it to me first!" After waiting too long for Bai Tang to type, Yuan Mingyi decided to go online and play the game. She would look at what Bai Tang wrote after he finished.
Bai Tang acknowledged with a sound and continued creating.
"By the way, what are you in the world of 'Ancient Sword'? Are you a disciple of Yong City? Are you Fu Yu?" Lu Wushuang asked enthusiastically.
"No, my name in 'Ancient Sword' is Feng Qingyu."
"What? You're actually Sister Qingyu?" Lu Wushuang's eyes lit up. "In the game, you gave up reincarnation to be with Su Su for her rebirth. How did you end up reborn in the world of 'Divine Eagle'?"
"Su Su and Shaogong didn't die. Under my suggestion, they became demons, and the Emperor sent down punishment to strike me down. At the last moment, a time-space vortex appeared and pulled me in. When I woke up, I was already in my mother's womb," Guo Fu explained.
"You’re amazing!" The three of them simultaneously gave a thumbs-up. This girl is impressive; she managed to keep both the boss and Su Su alive while becoming a demon herself. No wonder the Emperor was furious enough to strike at her.
"Can you teach us immortal techniques?" Wu Xiuwen was most concerned about this.
"I can, but I can't guarantee what you'll be able to learn. There are many people cultivating immortality in the world of 'Ancient Sword,' but not many can succeed," Guo Fu replied.
"That's fine; we don't want to become immortals. We just want to learn some techniques so we can show off!" Wu Xiuwen imagined himself flying on a sword, being seen as a deity by ordinary people.
Guo Fu generously shared the cultivation methods from Yong City with the three of them. However, perhaps due to different rules in each world, neither Wu Jia Brothers nor Lu Wushuang could cultivate any techniques from 'Ancient Sword.'
"Why can't we learn?" Lu Wushuang said, filled with disappointment.
Wu Dunru speculated, "Perhaps the rules of the world are different; the martial arts world cannot cultivate immortality."
"Then how can Junior Sister cultivate immortality?"
Wu Xiuwen replied, "Junior Sister's soul comes from the Ancient Sword world, and it bears the imprint of the immortal world, so she is not restricted by the world's rules."
Understanding the reason, the three no longer struggled with cultivating immortal techniques. Guo Fu couldn't help but regard the three with higher esteem; their character and integrity were truly commendable. The four began discussing specific plans to eliminate the Southern Song and Mongolian Emperor and devised a series of measures to save the Southern Song. One of the plans was to lead all oppressed civilians in rebellion, making one of the Wujia Brothers an emperor, and eventually establish a constitutional monarchy, allowing Huaxia to enter capitalism ahead of time.
That evening, the four young people began their actions. Guo Fu used her sword to fly with the three to Mongolia, allowing them to indulge in flying. Overnight, the Mongolian Emperor and many nobles and ministers of Mongolia were all killed. The entire Mongolia was thrown into chaos, leaving no thought of attacking the Southern Song. The crisis in Xiangyang was automatically resolved. On the second night, they went to the capital of Southern Song and killed the foolish emperor and the treacherous officials who held power. After that, they bid farewell to Guo Jing and his wife, wandering within the Song Dynasty's territory, gathering many dissatisfied people from the court to form a resistance force. This armed group gradually encroached on Southern Song's territory until, when the Southern Song court finally selected a new emperor to stabilize itself, this armed group had already occupied one-third of Southern Song's land.
When Guo Jing learned that the leader of this armed group was his own disciple, shock and anger were unnecessary; he took his wife Huang Rong, who was about to give birth, to teach a lesson to his disciple and daughter. However, upon seeing all the citizens living equally and happily in their territory, Guo Jing's anger subsided by half. When Wujia Brothers painted a picture for him of a future without a monarch—where citizens elected their leaders and everyone was equal before the law—this loyal hero sighed: "If you can truly achieve that, then go ahead!" Guo Daxia compromised; like his eldest disciple, they were loyal to the common people rather than any so-called emperor.
Huang Rong was about to give birth when Yang Guo and Long Nu arrived. The four from across dimensions suddenly realized they had been busy cooking and had overlooked the two main characters. They subtly probed Yang Guo about their experiences after leaving Xiangyang; without their butterfly effect involvement, Yang Guo and Long Nu followed the original plot into Jueqing Valley, rescued Qiu Qianchi and Central Flower Poison, only to be coerced by Qiu Qianchi into killing Guo Jing and Huang Rong.
The four suddenly remembered that in order not to alter Yang Guo's fate, they hadn't told him the truth about Yang Kang's death; this child truly regarded Guo Jing and Huang Rong as enemies. Moreover, without Mongolia invading Song, Yang Guo would not see Guo Jing's grand sentiments for country and people and thus would not be moved or hesitate. Wu Xiuwen hurriedly borrowed what he heard from Zhu Ziliu to recount the story of The Legend of Condor Heroes to Yang Guo. Yang Guo could not believe that his father was such a despicable person; he was momentarily unable to accept it.
Wu Dunru patted Yang Guo's shoulder as he fell into self-loathing: "Think about your ancestor Yang Zaixing; think about your grandfather. They were heroes worthy of your pride. Your father went down the wrong path; just do what is right so that people will remember you as a hero like your ancestors." (To be continued)
