"Why are you in a daze? I called you!"
Li Rui finally reacted, smiling awkwardly; he had indeed been lost in thought just now.
"So, are we going now? By the way, where do you live? I need to find you."
Actually, that night Li Rui already knew that this question was for...
"I can't tell you yet. Even though your strength is at Qi Hai Level Five, you're still at the bottom of the entire Sect! Isn't it good that I'm looking for you?"
Li Rui understood what Ruo Xin meant; perhaps there were too many "tigers" on her side, and he was only at the Qi Hai Realm. He wanted to avoid getting into unnecessary trouble.
However, Li Rui smiled calmly. After all, his strength was lacking. He secretly made a plan to catch up with Ruo Xin within a year; he couldn't be the man standing behind a woman again.
The two joked as they left the dormitory. Ruo Xin had to cultivate and had to leave early! Li Rui then headed in the direction of the Grand Elder.
"You! Who are you? This is the Alchemy area; who let you in? Do you have an invitation?"
Li Rui did not have one; he was called over by the Grand Elder. The guard seemed familiar; he must be Wang Bing's lackey! No wonder he wanted to block Li Rui's path.
Since the Grand Elder had summoned him, he must have heard about it!
"It was the Grand Elder who called me over."
"Oh ho ho! Look at you; the Grand Elder would let you come here."
"You..."
"What do you mean 'you'? Hurry up and get lost, or I won't be polite!"
Li Rui couldn't gauge the opponent's strength, so it seemed that he was at a higher level than himself. It wouldn't be wise to engage here; even if he could defeat him, there were still many people around!
Li Rui couldn't help but awkwardly furrow his brows, never expecting such a ridiculous situation to occur.
There was no choice but to turn and leave. However, Li Rui thought of a good idea: could he enter from another place? Perhaps take a detour.
Li Rui was determined to do just that. He skillfully avoided the group of guards and spotted a secluded grove with a path! Little did they know what lay within. Should he pass through here? Well, since he was already here, what was there to be afraid of?
Li Rui quickened his pace, and with a whoosh, he slipped past three lines of sight and reached the grassy area of the grove.
As he walked along the path, the surrounding environment was eerily quiet. For some reason, it seemed like no one had been here for many years.
Then Li Rui considered another possibility: could this place be some kind of forbidden area? Yet another voice in his mind urged him that since he had come this far, he might as well continue and see what was ahead!
"Who are you? What audacity! How dare you trespass into the Tai Xuan Sect's forbidden area!"
"A mere Qi Sea Realm dares to run away right under my nose? Do you think there's no one left in the Tai Xuan Sect?"
It really was as if whatever could go wrong did go wrong. Li Rui was completely bewildered and instantly tried to escape! Who would have thought that another voice would call out behind him?
Li Rui had never anticipated that things would escalate like this. From what he had heard from others, it seemed that trespassing into a forbidden area would not end well.
Ah! This is truly frustrating, and Li Rui feels helpless!
While running, he suddenly saw an Old Man. The man had messy hair and a dark complexion! His clothes were tattered, and anyone who didn't know better would think he was a beggar who popped up from nowhere! From the surrounding black powder and the Dan Furnace, it seemed that this man had experienced an explosion.
The pursuers of Li Rui had not yet arrived, and Li Rui didn't know where he found the courage to suddenly ask this Old Man for help.
The Old Man pointed to a patch of grass, indicating for Li Rui to enter it.
For some unknown reason, the pursuers who had been chasing Li Rui suddenly stopped here, seemingly wary of something, as if they couldn't control the situation.
As the pursuers left, Li Rui calmly emerged, while the Old Man pointed at him, signaling him to leave.
"Senior, may I ask your name? If there is a chance in the future, I will repay you for this life-saving grace!"
As soon as he finished speaking, the Old Man immediately laughed.
However, the Old Man paid no attention to Li Rui, continuing to study the herbs around him, seemingly intent on attempting Alchemy again. He appeared to have no remorse for his previous failure; for an Alchemist, having an explosion might be a common occurrence.
Li Rui knew nothing about Alchemy, but seeing several herbs on the ground made him furrow his brow tightly.
"Three-Flower Grass, Dragon Snake Root, Horsetail... Higanbana" Li Rui suddenly named these herbs, and the mention of Higanbana caught the attention of the Old Man!
This flower was unheard of, and how did Li Rui know about it? Even the Old Man didn't recognize it; it seemed that this flower was something he had picked himself. It was a purely Yin attribute herb that could neutralize Yang attribute herbs, achieving an unexpected effect.
"Child, do you understand how to refine medicine?"
Li Rui shook his head repeatedly, completely clueless, and this type of Higanbana was something he had seen in his grandfather's Alchemy Book before.
"You don't know anything about Alchemy! Get lost, stop being a hindrance here, or I'll have them take you away later."
Upon hearing this, Li Rui felt somewhat unconvinced. This guy had already messed up, yet he still acted so confidently; it was hard to understand where he got his courage from.
"Senior, could I direct you in the Alchemy process? If it doesn't work, it's on me. I'll do my best to return the favor later." Li Rui looked at the Alchemy procedure and felt like he had seen it somewhere before, prompting him to ask.
"Enough! I don't need such a small thing. However, the 'Higanbana' you mentioned is harder to find; there are only two left. Well... forget it, let me play along with you for a while."
Li Rui couldn't help but smile awkwardly. If he succeeded in this Alchemy process, wouldn't that mean he could repay this favor? Perhaps he could gain something from this Old Man as well, achieving two goals at once!
Suddenly, Li Rui seemed to recall that the best time for alchemy was during midday. He didn't know where he had heard this saying, but it was etched in his heart like a mantra.
The Old Man beside him appeared impatient, which was truly comical; the concept of midday being the best time was something he had never heard of or seen before.
