Li Rui flew high in the sky, facing Anlu, and the fierce face of the giant snake appeared right before his eyes. 0

Seeing Soul-Settling Grass in this narrow place known as Azure Dragon Tomb was no longer surprising; what was even more astonishing was that this grass had a parasitic Spirit Beast. 0

Although Spiritual Herb was already rare, Twin Spirit Beasts were even scarcer than Spiritual Herb. Today, however, in Azure Dragon Tomb, Li Rui encountered a Anlu. He didn't know whether to consider it Fortunate luck or misfortune. 0

He swung his long whip, sharp as a blade, aiming for Anlu's head. However, the giant snake was not to be underestimated. Before the tip of the whip could touch its scales, the snake suddenly flicked its tail, and its head slammed into Li Rui, forcing him to straighten up almost like a tall tree. 0

Caught off guard by the impact of its head, Li Rui felt an overwhelming force surge into his body. His blood surged, and he swayed in the air for a moment before nearly falling like a leaf. 0

"Remember, to keep it alive, just take its Seven-Inch Heart." 0

With that said, he stopped speaking and leaped into the air. 0

Though Li Rui's offensive seemed somewhat lacking, his footwork was fierce. His figure moved like a feather, carefully avoiding attacks. The long whip in his hand was powerful and fluid, striking down on Anlu repeatedly. In no time, he had stripped several scales from its body. 0

Old Monster jumped into the air but did not rush directly at Anlu. Instead, he shifted slightly and came before Li Rui. Frowning, he deliberately lowered his voice with internal energy and whispered into Li Rui's ear: 0

"I will go for Anlu's head shortly; you just need to attract its attention ahead." 0

Li Rui glanced back at Old Monster, who let out a fierce shout and then said no more. Like a falling star, he jumped onto Anlu's head. 0

The short dagger in his hand gleamed with a captivating blue light atop Anlu, shining brilliantly against the dark imprint on the giant snake's body. The light flowed and cast a faint glow over it. 0

Li Rui understood the situation and did not linger in battle. He put away his long whip, casually picked a few leaves from a nearby tree, and used their falling momentum to propel himself backward, retreating several feet without further engagement. 0

The giant snake, entangled with Li Rui's long whip, noticed this and raised its head, lunging toward Li Rui. It was completely unaware that someone had appeared above it. 0

Old Monster moved cautiously, lying flat on the giant snake's back and slowing his movements to avoid being blown off by the strong winds. Even so, he found it quite challenging to maintain his balance on Anlu's smooth scales. 0

Retrieving a short dagger into his sleeve, Old Monster looked toward the source of the light—a groove atop the giant snake's head that contained a smooth stone. The stone was round and made of an unknown material, emitting a fierce glow that was clear and bright, resembling the light of a Luminous Pearl. If it weren't for the dimming light of the day, it would have been almost blinding. 0

Li Rui returned to the ground to continue digging. 0

Old Monster turned back to ask if he was done. 0

Hearing this, Li Rui, who was diligently digging for Soul-Settling Grass, lifted his head and slowly placed both hands on the roots of the Soul-Settling Grass. Then he quickly pulled back… Suddenly, there was a loud rumble as the ground shook, and a distant mountain collapsed as Li Rui extracted the Soul-Settling Grass. 0

Seeing this, Old Monster immediately waved his robe and pulled Li Rui back. The spot where Li Rui had just been was now a massive mound of earth caused by the collapse. Had there been any delay, Li Rui would have been buried alive. 0

Old Monster flew up again and reached for the glowing Azure Blue Stone atop the giant snake's head. With a quick motion, he grasped it in his palm. 0

Li Rui stood on a distant treetop, observing the scene before him in disbelief. 0

He saw that as soon as Old Monster held the stone in his hand, the Anlu became completely still as if its soul had been taken away. Once Old Monster jumped off its back, layers of scales began to fall from the giant snake. By the end of it all, its massive form had shrunk slightly. 0

The snake flicked its tail and turned its head toward Old Monster, who was holding the stone, flicking its tongue as if reluctant but making no further moves. After watching for a moment, it climbed up a tree trunk, twisting its body rapidly until it vanished from sight. 0

Li Rui jumped down from the treetop. At this moment, the wind was calm, as if the earlier tumultuous scene had been an illusion. However, the stone in Old Monster's hand, known as "Seven-Inch Heart," and the Soul-Settling Grass in his grasp were undeniably real. 0

"Grandfather," Li Rui stepped forward, unable to resist touching the brilliantly shining Seven-Inch Heart. He swallowed hard and said, "Today has truly been a fruitful day." 0

Old Monster took out a gray bag. He placed both the Seven-Inch Heart and the Soul-Settling Grass inside. The bag appeared to be a Cosmic Bag, roughly the size of a palm, which Old Monster tucked into his wide sleeve. 0

"Let's go." 0

Old Monster did not turn around, but his voice remained kind. "Indeed fortunate; we found everything we were looking for. Once I find you the Blood-activating Herb, we can leave the mountain tomorrow." 0

Although Li Rui was eager for the Seven-Inch Heart and Soul-Settling Grass, he understood the importance of loyalty and could not be too greedy. Moreover, Old Monster had been so good to him, following him all this way; he felt he was not at a loss. 0

Sure enough, after walking for a while, Old Monster and Li Rui found three types of herbs that could detoxify Li Rui's body; only one more was needed. 0

The two of them walked contentedly deeper into the mountain. The light grew brighter as they moved on. After last night's heavy rain, the environment felt particularly pleasant. The scent of wet earth mixed with fragrant grass wafted into Li Rui's nostrils; it had been a long time since he had experienced such a feeling—refreshing and natural. Unable to resist, Li Rui stretched lazily and let out a deep yawn, as if he could fall asleep at any moment. 0

After walking for some time, they finally reached the heart of Lingmai Mountain. It should have been evening by now; in the distance, the sunset slowly descended, casting mottled shadows onto the horizon. The hazy light mingled with flying birds, creating an atmosphere that seemed like an extremely peaceful omen. Mottled and fragmented yet colorful, in the depths of the mountains, it was indeed magnificent under nature's divine craftsmanship. 0
