Li Rui and the others fortunately escaped the attack and pursuit of the Qilin Beast. They managed to trap the Qilin Beast in one place, but what about themselves?
Ordinary people would not easily escape the attack of the Qilin Beast. If they were just regular individuals, they might have already perished at the spot where the Qilin Beast appeared.

The Qilin Beast had just been injured and couldn’t immediately come up with any plans to deal with them! Did it intend to continue targeting them despite its injury? However, this object was discovered by Li Rui and the others. When they approached it, they confirmed it was indeed shiny. But the Qilin Beast had been hiding it; what exactly was it? They still could not figure it out because the object was covered by some gold. This was also a deliberate concealment by the Qilin Beast, intended to hide this item from others.
Everyone tends to hide treasures, especially the Qilin Beast. The Qilin Beast cleverly concealed the golden item among the gold itself, and with enough gold around it, even if someone wanted to continue stealing treasures, they would be unable to do so because their backpacks were already full. This demonstrated the intelligence of the Qilin Beast.
However, the cleverness of the Qilin Beast was eventually uncovered. When they moved away the gold surrounding that object, the truth came to light.
It was a Qilin Beast Egg. If properly cared for in the future, it could hatch into a Qilin Beast. However, if sold, it would also be extremely valuable. Next to this Qilin Beast Egg was another treasure—a jade pendant. With this pendant, one could harness the power of the Qilin Beast.
They looked at the items before them and naturally could not resist their allure. It would be difficult for anyone to resist such temptation, let alone them as companions on this journey. They found themselves filled with greed for these items.
Indeed, this was something that the Qilin Beast had deliberately hidden. Such items were precious both to humans and to the Qilin Beast itself; after all, this was a genuine Qilin Beast Egg and a jade pendant capable of controlling a Qilin Beast—things that were not easily obtained by ordinary people.

They understood that this must have been set up by the Qilin Beast to prevent others from taking its treasures. The purpose was to stop anyone from stealing its belongings. Yet, seeing Li Rui and his companions' strength—or lack thereof—the Qilin Beast likely underestimated their courage.
After much effort and struggle against the weight of this object and an external electric current, they finally managed to transport it away successfully. They were very pleased and felt fortunate about their success.
Things were certainly not as smooth as they imagined. The injured Qilin Beast returned to its lair and naturally wanted to check if its treasures were still there and whether anyone had stolen them.
However, the Qilin Beast discovered that its treasures were gone and caught the scent of Li Rui and the others. It then followed the scent to hunt down Li Rui and the others.
