The mountains stretched endlessly, lush and green. When the first ray of sunlight hit the first leaf in the morning, and the light reflected from the entire forest struck your eyes, Lingmai Mountain awakened. 0

Li Rui was surrounded by a faint purple halo that wrapped around him, flowing over his hair, his eyes, and his sleeves. 0

To outsiders, it appeared to be a beautiful painting, if one overlooked the deep furrows on his brow and the faint sheen of sweat on his forehead. The Old Monster stood idly by, watching Li Rui break through while munching on an apple, focused intently. If something went wrong, he could still intervene; after all, this young man had limitless potential, and it would be too regrettable for him to fall here. 0

After a long while, Li Rui opened his eyes, revealing black whirlpools with no bottom in sight. The Old Monster forgot to chew as he stared blankly at Li Rui's increasingly chaotic gaze. Suddenly blinking, he began to come back to reality but dared not look directly at Li Rui anymore. He turned his head and said, "You're awake now, ghost." 0

Li Rui looked at him in confusion and brushed off his clothes. His wide robe fluttered in the wind as he spoke, "Where is this?" 0

"Lingmai Mountain," the Old Monster replied nonchalantly about the ghost's attitude, smacking his lips as he savored the lingering taste. "The formations here are a bit difficult for you right now." 0

Lightning Weasel jumped onto Li Rui's shoulder, its long tail brushing against his cheek with a pleasantly soft touch. Li Rui didn't mind and petted its body. Lightning Weasel affectionately nuzzled Li Rui's hair, expressing happiness that its master had survived the ordeal. 0

"What kind of tribulation did you go through?" 0

On Lingmai Mountain, the Old Monster and Li Rui stood atop a massive banyan tree with gnarled roots intertwined, rising from the ground as if it had been there for thousands of years. The view seemed endless; the sky was a clear blue, almost blindingly so. A few cotton-like clouds drifted lazily by, showing no fear that someone might suddenly appear to disrupt this tranquility. The slender branches of deep brown twigs trembled slightly. Looking up at the Old Monster and Li Rui standing upright above them showed no signs of panic or feeling trapped. 0

"I have now reached Transformation to the Pinnacle of Divinity." 0

Upon hearing this, the Old Monster didn't react much but pondered quietly. In terms of ranking, Transformation to the Pinnacle of Divinity was neither high nor low; however, it seemed rather understated. Just sitting down had already led to a breakthrough. Although it was somewhat special, it could still be considered a bit of assistance. 0

"Why haven't I seen any animals after such a long time?" Typically in forests and mountains where few people tread, animals should roam freely without much caution. 0

Yet now, Lingmai Mountain felt lifeless and eerily quiet; aside from their breathing sounds, there was no other noise—only the occasional rustle of wind passing through branches. It was too quiet; something felt off. 0

"Don't think about it too much," 0

the Old Monster stretched lazily. "Let's solve our hunger problem first; I'm starving." He looked eagerly at Li Rui with no intention of doing anything himself. 0

With his back turned to Li Rui, the Old Monster hunched over and gazed into the distance, lost in thought about how to escape without noticing Li Rui's expression or the approaching footsteps behind him. Li Rui kicked forcefully towards the figure ahead without mercy; watching as the Old Monster flew through the air in a smooth parabolic arc while shouting, "You little brat!" 0

The shout echoed loudly as if shaking the entire mountain range. 0

However, this tremor seemed to last a bit too long. 0

"Old Monster, did you hear something?" Li Rui stared intently ahead. 0

"Ah, in the forest, weak animals are rarely seen, and there is another situation where something more powerful than them is guarding here." 0

Diao Er Long Da still showed no signs of seriousness, as if he had never been seen in a serious manner. 0

"What we might see this time is a feline creature." 0

"Is this it?" Li Rui squatted down and poked at a tuft of fur that revealed pointed ears; it looked adorable and posed no threat at all. 0

"Bang!" 0

Old Monster and Li Rui quickly retreated as the Lightning Weasel landed behind them. 0

"How about you go in front and I stay behind?" 0

"Okay." 0

This feline had thick and tough skin. Li Rui struck its back hard with a blade and quickly retreated. The Trihorn Beast was quite agitated; although the attacks were harmless, they felt like mosquito bites. 0

Gradually, Li Rui's eyes began to change, opening wide. 0

Flames started to burn on the body of the Trihorn Beast. The young man had black hair and orange-red eyes, coldly gazing, "Six Transformations of the Universe." 0

Old Monster also extended his hand, silently reciting a mantra in his heart. Two beams of light flew toward the tuft on the ground. At this moment, the Trihorn Beast was no longer just a tuft; spikes began to protrude from its back, and its eyes became murky, completely devoid of reason. 0

Slowly, patterns began to form around them, like ripples from a stone thrown into a lake, but the power within was formidable. 0

The Lightning Weasel also entered an attacking state; purple light flickered on its fur, emitting crackling sounds. 0

The Trihorn Beast struggled to move forward but found it impossible. The pressure from above only increased, and gradually its vision darkened until it collapsed to the ground. 0

"The power is still insufficient." Li Rui stood in front of the Trihorn Beast, unsure if he was dissatisfied with it or with his own strength. 0

"Be careful; this is a millennium-old creature," Old Monster warned just as the tuft on the ground suddenly extended claws. Li Rui barely dodged but still left an unavoidable blood mark; he had underestimated it. 0

He took a breath, quickened his pace, and then unleashed his fighting spirit in an attempt to deliver a final fatal blow to the Trihorn Beast. 0

"Eyes, attack his eyes!" 0

Li Rui quickly changed direction upon hearing this, lightly waving his fingers, which slowly closed like the melody of blooming flowers, then indifferently opened again. 0

In the illusion, amidst countless afterimages, it was impossible to tell which one was real. 0

With a swipe of its claw, the Trihorn Beast caused anomalies to erupt from the ground, instantly erasing Li Rui's attack. 0

The vanished attack quietly reappeared behind it, in its blind spot. 0

"Well done, kid. You're doing great," Old Monster said, his admiration evident in his eyes. 0

"The Barrier is starting to weaken." 0

Li Rui sensed a slight flow in the air, as if the stagnated time was beginning to move. 0

"It seems that’s the point of the Barrier," Li Rui observed while retaining the Crimson Glow, with Lightning Weasel following in his footsteps. 0
