Story Title: "Song Xiaowen's Journey Home" 0

The footsteps of spring are drawing closer step by step. 0
The mountains have begun to turn green, and warm breezes blow gently, making one unable to resist the urge to go out and play. 0

I haven't received a letter from home in a long time, and I wonder how my family is doing. I miss them very much. I think it's time for me to go back. I didn't tell anyone about my plans to return; I just quietly packed my bags and prepared to set off. I told myself that when I get back and stand at the front door, my family will be pleasantly surprised. Just thinking about it made me smile. 0

I closed my eyes, and the images of my family appeared before me. My grandmother's smile, my parents' love, and my sister's gentleness. 0

"Xiao Wen, come out and play!" 0
"Xiao Wen, don't be afraid; we will protect you." 0
"Xiao Wen, you must be strong; you are our hope." 0

The voices of my family echoed in my ears, and I suddenly opened my eyes, feeling an even stronger longing in my heart. I have to go back! I must go back! 0

I haven't received a letter from home in a long time. For some reason, there's always an uneasy feeling in my heart. Could something have happened at home? The thought made my heart tighten with worry. I can't stay here any longer; I must return. My hometown has my beloved family and everything familiar to me. 0

I decided to embark on the journey home. My grandfather is a very smart man; he tells great stories. When I was young, he often sat in the yard and shared ancient tales with me. 0

He said that our hometown is a mysterious and beautiful place, filled with many magical stories. Grandpa's tales often captivated me. I would always widen my eyes, curiously watching him and asking about the plot of the next story. Grandpa said that our hometown has a long history and has produced many famous people. These stories deepened my understanding of my hometown and fostered a stronger emotional connection to it. 0

However, as time passed, I began to worry that something might have happened at home. I decided to return personally to seek answers. At the moment I decided to go back, my feelings were complex. I was both excited to see my family and afraid that something had happened to them. My heart was filled with anxiety and unease. Yet, I also held a glimmer of hope. Perhaps nothing had happened at home, and they were simply waiting for my return. 0

Regardless, I was determined to find my family and return to my hometown. So, I packed a small bag and set off on my journey. I crossed mountains and rivers, all to return to that beloved hometown that lingered in my dreams. Winter had not yet ended, but I could already sense the arrival of spring. Sometimes I felt cold; other times, warmth enveloped me. I knew winter would pass, and spring would eventually come. 0

But my longing for my hometown did not diminish with the changing seasons. Hometown—what a wonderful place it is! My grandpa had told me many stories about it, stories that deeply fascinated me. I wanted to see with my own eyes the people and landscapes from those tales; I wanted to discover if those magical things truly existed. 0
