Back at the Cold Jade Garden, Su Yi had already tidied up her room. When Yin Luo saw her, there was no longer any sign of fear on Su Yi's face, which relieved Yin Luo. She prepared hot water for her, and after a comfortable bath, she lay down on the couch to sleep.
However, the sweet dream clearly did not last long.
After sleeping for an hour or two, Su Yi came in to wake her up, saying that the Prince had sent for her.
Yin Luo knew immediately what it was about and got up, dressing in men's clothing before heading to the Study Room.
The Study Room was not in the Cold Jade Garden but outside; it took a bit of time to walk there.
When she arrived, she did not see Mu Changqing anywhere. He Ren was standing there and hurriedly approached Yin Luo when he saw her. "Princess, please wait. The Prince is discussing matters with someone and has asked us to wait here."
Yin Luo nodded and turned to lean against the wall by the door to wait. He Ren glanced at her, seemingly lost in thought, then suddenly moved to her side and leaned against the wall as well. "Princess, may I ask you something?"
Yin Luo turned her head and, as expected, saw a mischievous smile on his face. She looked back at him with a cold expression and replied, "No."
He Ren was taken aback, looking at her as the spark of enthusiasm on his face immediately faded.
"Alright then..."
He responded dejectedly and returned to his side of the wall. He glanced into the Study Room and then at Yin Luo, ultimately gazing up at the ceiling in silence, closing his mouth.
He Xin didn't know where he had come back from. When He Ren saw him, his eyes lit up, and he hurriedly approached, asking, "Did you finish the task?"
He Xin glanced at Yin Luo beside him and nodded coldly. He Ren had a lot to say upon seeing him return, but before he could speak, He Xin had already turned back toward his side, which was originally where Yin Luo was standing. However, since Yin Luo was present, he wisely chose to go to He Ren's side. Just as he stood still, he pursed his lips tightly, appearing disinterested. Seeing this, He Ren immediately showed a defeated expression and silently turned away, facing the blue sky and white clouds, making a gesture as if sealing his lips, remaining motionless.
He Xin glanced at him with a helpless look and then waited quietly for the people inside to come out.
After about a quarter of an hour, there was finally some movement inside. He Xin and He Ren quickly straightened up. Yin Luo stood up and looked inside, only to see a handsome young man emerge. His brows were thick like ink, and his eyes resembled stars. Dressed in white, he floated like an immortal; it was none other than the person who had saved her during her last visit to the palace—Eleventh Master Mu Li.
Yin Luo's gaze remained unchanged as if she did not recognize him. Mu Li paused in his steps and turned to look at Mu Changqing, saying, "Third Brother, when did you develop this interest?"
Mu Changqing glanced at Yin Luo with an uncertain expression but did not respond. Mu Li smiled elegantly and looked at Yin Luo, saying, "It seems that little sister-in-law has offended Third Brother again."
Yin Luo raised an eyebrow. Mu Li chuckled softly and said, "Sister Three, my Third Brother is not someone to be trifled with. You must choose your timing wisely—know when to offend him and when not to."
"Thank you for the reminder, Eleventh Master. The concept of timing is not important to me; I never speak based on others' expressions."
Mu Li clicked his tongue twice and looked back at Mu Changqing, whose expression was quite unpleasant. With an ambiguous smile, he then turned to leave.
Once his figure had disappeared into the distance, Mu Changqing suddenly addressed the empty space: "He Xin, He Ren, you two haven't trained in a long time, have you? As my personal guards, how can your skills fall behind? Especially now that there's a newcomer who knows nothing. Therefore, today you two will take the newcomer to the training ground for a full day of training. You are not allowed to return until before dark."
