Slaves and Masters...
Yin Luo smiled lightly, her lips curling into a faint chill. "I heard that the prince once had a shameful past, and even to this day, he still bears the scars of it, his appearance utterly ruined..."
"Shut up!"
A gust of wind rushed toward her, and Yin Luo was caught off guard, sent tumbling to the ground along with the table. The heavy wooden table crashed against her chest, causing a sharp pain that made her spit out a mouthful of blood. She propped herself up with one hand on the ground, half-sitting as she looked up at the furious Mu Changqing, a sorrowful smile appearing on her face. "You consider yourself superior to others, yet why is it that every time this matter is mentioned, you become enraged and your temperament changes? It's simply because you see this as your humiliation, an unbearable past that you cannot face, your own insecurity! If you truly believe yourself to be above others, then what about this humble and humiliating past? Why are you afraid to confront it?"
"Shut up! I said shut up—"
Another gust of wind swept through, but this time it struck the nearby couch instead.
With a loud crash, the entire couch collapsed, shaking the ground beneath it. Mu Changqing's eyes turned red as he seemed to go mad, continuously smashing everything around him—tables, chairs, screens, cups... everything that could be destroyed fell under his fury.
Perhaps hearing the commotion inside, He Ren and He Xin rushed in one after another. Upon seeing Mu Changqing in such a state, they hurried forward from both sides to try to subdue him. However, Mu Changqing's strength was not something they could handle.
With a long roar, he suddenly leaped in front of Yin Luo and directly picked her up before jumping out of the room. He Ren and He Xin hurriedly chased after him, but by the time they emerged outside, there was no sign of Mu Changqing anywhere.
The wind cut against her face like a knife. It was nighttime, and she couldn't see where she was; all she knew was that they had entered a forest. It seemed they were climbing a mountain, and then later on, her vision opened up as if they were in an open field. Finally, she was thrown down onto a patch of grass.
Yin Luo was dazed from the fall. After regaining her senses with great difficulty, she realized that the wide view did not mean they had reached an open field but rather that they had arrived at the mountaintop.
The night was too dark to see anything, and the only reason Yin Luo could determine her location was that she was on a mountaintop, indicated by the faint glow of fire below. It was clear that this was a very high peak. She looked around and vaguely realized that Mu Changqing was here as well, but he seemed to be standing at the edge of a cliff, his clothes rustling in the wind. Because she was far away, Yin Luo couldn't see the specific situation clearly; she could only confirm that it was him standing there.
She initially wanted to get up but then realized her foot was sprained.
She took off her shoes and felt a large swollen area around her ankle. After enduring the pain and rubbing it for a moment, it seemed to have little effect, so she simply sat there, too lazy to get up.
She had no idea how long had passed when she was awakened by the cold wind, realizing that she had unknowingly fallen asleep. When she looked up, the forest was pitch black, and nothing could be seen. The place where he had stood earlier was even darker, the lights below were gone, and there was no moon in the sky—only a few lonely stars hung above, making it extremely dark.
