Once again standing in the principal's office, Guo Mingming's face was as pale as paper. She instinctively glanced at the department head. Although the glance was quick, I still caught it. The principal noticed it too; he slammed his hand on the table and said, "Guo Mingming, as a university student, it's one thing to have a disreputable private life, but to keep making mistakes after knowing you were wrong is unacceptable."
"Have you considered the consequences of your actions?" he continued. "I advise you to voluntarily withdraw from school before you're expelled, because no one will be able to save you then!" The principal had already given Guo Mingming some face, yet she still didn't know how to cherish it.
With red-rimmed eyes, Guo Mingming pleaded, "Principal, this isn't my fault. I..." The principal impatiently interrupted her, "Are you still not embarrassed enough?"
"If you don't repent soon, don't blame us for being rude!" he warned. "Soon everyone in the school will know about your disgraceful actions; I wonder what face you'll have left to stay here!" Guo Mingming was so frightened that her face turned deathly pale, and she didn't dare say a word.
This was just how Guo Mingming was; even now, she still showed no signs of remorse. She cried out, "Principal, it wasn't me! I wasn't the one who planned this; I am also a victim."
"It was Zhang Xiaochi! She held a grudge against Wang Shasha and came to me for advice."
"The things in her locker were put there by me to teach Wang Shasha a lesson." Zhang Xiaochi was furious; she couldn't care less about being afraid and pointed at Guo Mingming while shouting, "You're talking nonsense!"
"You clearly told me that you were jealous of Wang Shasha's position as student council president and wanted to take revenge on her."
"You said you put the condom in Wang Shasha's locker so that once it was discovered, she would be punished or even expelled."
"That way, the presidency would be yours."
"You even arranged for a few classmates to wait by the door just to capture the moment when Wang Shasha opened her locker."
"Guo Mingming, you are truly vicious!"
I looked at Guo Mingming with a cold smile and said, "Yes, you had it all planned out; you just didn't expect that I would report it to the police."
"Guo Mingming, as a university student, it's one thing to have a disreputable private life, but to know you're wrong and keep making mistakes is unacceptable."
"Have you even considered the consequences of your actions?"
I repeated the principal's words verbatim to Guo Mingming.
Sure enough, the principal's expression darkened.
Guo Mingming opened her mouth, wanting to argue.
I scoffed, "Guo Mingming, do you really think everyone else is a fool and you're the only smart one?"
"Or do you think everyone else is deaf and blind, unable to hear or see anything?"
"The principal has already given you enough face, yet you still don't know what's good for you. It's truly foolish!"
Guo Mingming wanted to say something more when Director Guo suddenly struck her hard across the face.
Guo Mingming was knocked to the side, half of her face swelling up.
She looked at Director Guo in disbelief, her lips moving but ultimately not daring to speak.
Director Guo said coldly, "You have the audacity to argue after doing something like this?"
"I advise you to voluntarily withdraw from school before you're expelled; no one will be able to save you then!"
Guo Mingming was completely stunned and instinctively replied, "No, I can't withdraw."
Director Guo struck her again: "You brought this upon yourself; you should bear the consequences!"
"Our school can't accommodate someone like you; it's better for you to leave early and not tarnish our school's reputation."
At this point, Guo Mingming was utterly silenced.
She covered her cheek as tears streamed down her face.
I watched her coldly, feeling a sense of satisfaction in my heart.
