As Bai Yin, the ultimate fan of Bai Xu, prided herself on knowing his whereabouts inside and out, she couldn't help but doubt what Qian Mo said.
"I actually know Bai Xu, who hasn't even fully grown up yet! I'm even his sworn elder brother!" Qian Mo sighed inwardly, but could he say that out loud? Of course not!
"Ahem... It's a long story. But I can assure you that I got the information from False Beast about those two siblings; it's absolutely true. From the looks of you, it seems like you're old acquaintances. Just ask them and you'll find out!"
Bai Yin looked at the Bai Feng siblings with skepticism, but she saw them nodding vigorously. After thinking for a moment, although she couldn't say she completely believed Qian Mo's words, given the circumstances, it was best not to fall out with him. Bai Xu was known for his exceptional care for the human race, so this guy probably wasn't his enemy... Perhaps he met them during one of Bai Xu's secret outings?
Thinking of this made Bai Yin somewhat annoyed. Ever since she had fallen for Bai Xu all those years ago, that asshole had been intentionally avoiding her. Was she really that terrifying? Fortunately, over a decade ago when she sought out Bai Xu, she was told he was in seclusion. At that time, by coincidence, she met the Bai Feng siblings. They were still children back then and were quite to her liking (not in a literal sense!). As time passed, they developed a good relationship, and through them, she sometimes managed to obtain firsthand information about Bai Xu. Out of affection for them, she genuinely considered herself their aunt.
Shaking her head, Bai Yin decided not to dwell on Qian Mo's background. Regardless of his intentions, paying more attention to him shouldn't stir up too much trouble. What concerned her most was the current military mobilization. She had sensed early on that Bai Xu was about to fall out with the Bai Ze Clan. With her high status, she could feel that a storm was brewing; things were bound to change drastically!
Thus, after receiving the intel, she hurried over to support her dear nephew and niece. Otherwise, in such a war situation, no one could force her as a guest elder to participate.
"By the way, Bai Fong dear niece, has only three clans responded to Bai Xu's call for troops? Did those three little rascals give you any trouble or show you any attitude? Honestly, that deadbeat could have sent a trusted general for this kind of thing instead of burdening you two kids with such an important task. I'll have a good talk with him later!"
With graceful steps, Bai Yin took Bai Fong's small hand and smiled gently at her. However, as her gaze swept over the leaders of the three clans, it carried an undercurrent of menace; sparks flickered in her eyes as if issuing a warning. Feeling her piercing gaze pass over them, the clan leaders shivered in unison and struggled to maintain their composure.
"No worries! My brother has received a military token from Uncle Bai Xu; both the Cloud Demon Ferret Clan Leader and Rock Beast Clan Leader are very accommodating towards us."
Bai Fong beamed brightly with a gentle tone similar to Bai Yin's. However, the implications of her words sent chills down Qian Mo's and Bai Feng's spines...
"So what you're saying is that the Mountain Luan Clan Leader isn't accommodating?"
With a slight flutter of her fan, Bai Yin's tone suddenly turned icy. In contrast, an even more intense wave of heat surged forth under her control and rushed toward the Mountain Luan Clan!
