Fang Yuejin lay on the ridge, covered in blood, while Xiao Wanzi was also lying nearby, drenched in fresh blood.
"Yuejin!" Yan Jien shouted as he rushed over.
"Woof woof!" Xiao Wanzi barked excitedly upon seeing Yan Jien.
" Xiao Wanzi, don't be afraid, I'm here!" Yan Jien said.
He crouched down to check the injuries of Fang Yuejin and Xiao Wanzi. Fortunately, they were both still alive! Yan Jien let out a sigh of relief.
"Don't be afraid, I'll take you to the hospital right away!" Yan Jien said.
He picked up Fang Yuejin and carried the injured Xiao Wanzi, running as fast as he could towards Tongshuyuan.
Yan Jien moved swiftly, covering hundreds of meters in the blink of an eye. He ran with Fang Yuejin on his back and Xiao Wanzi in his arms, disregarding the blood covering him, racing towards Tongshuyuan. His heart raced with urgency; he wished he could fly to Tongshuyuan immediately!
At that moment, Yan Li, along with Fang Yuejin's parents and the villagers, anxiously waited at the spot, preparing to search the mountains for Fang Yuejin. Suddenly, Yan Li spotted a figure running from a distance.
"It's Xiao Nuo!" Yan Li exclaimed in surprise.
Everyone looked up to see Yan Jien sprinting towards them with Fang Yuejin on his back and Xiao Wanzi in his arms.
"Yuejin!" Yan Li and Fang Yuejin's parents rejoiced and hurried over.
"Hurry, get Yuejin to the hospital!" Yan Jien gasped as he handed Fang Yuejin over to his father.
"Okay!" Fang Yuejin's father quickly took hold of Fang Yuejin and got into the car.
"Xiao Nuo, thank you!" Mother Fang looked at Yan Jien gratefully.
"Thank you, Xiao Nuo!" The villagers also expressed their gratitude towards Yan Jien.
"No need to thank me," Yan Jien waved his hand and said, "Just get Yuejin to the hospital."
"Mm." Mother Fang nodded and got into the car with Yan Li.
The car started up and drove out of the village. The villagers dispersed as well.
Yan Jien watched the car leave with a slight frown. He had just checked Fang Yuejin and Xiao Wanzi's injuries and found them to be severe, especially Fang Yuejin, who had many wounds on his body; his back was torn open by a wild dog, exposing bone! However, fortunately, their internal organs were unharmed; they should be able to survive! Yan Jien sighed in relief.
He looked around at Yinshan Ridge and furrowed his brow. He felt something was off about this situation. Earlier near Nine-Headed Peak, he had seen a lot of blood from wild dogs but no wild dog corpses. Logically speaking, if wild dogs were attacked, they should retaliate; yet after searching for a long time there, aside from seeing a lot of blood, he hadn't spotted even one injured wild dog!

He decided to go back in and take a look.
Yan Jien took off his blood-stained clothes, wearing only his shorts and shoes, and slipped into Yinshan Ridge.
He retraced his steps back to Nine-Headed Peak.
Nine-Headed Peak is located deep within Yinshan Ridge, standing over two thousand meters high, making it the tallest peak in Yinshan Ridge.
The area is characterized by high mountains and dense forests, rarely visited by people, filled with towering trees.
Standing at the summit of Nine-Headed Peak, Yan Jien looked around.
He noticed many bloodstains nearby, but strangely, there were no corpses of the Wild Dogs in sight!
Not even any injured Wild Dogs could be found!
"This is really odd!" Yan Jien wondered.
He activated his night vision, enhanced sense of smell, and hearing to search through the jungle.
Soon, he discovered a clearing in a hollow near Nine-Headed Peak.
The clearing was about five hundred meters wide, devoid of trees, only some bushes and weeds scattered around.
At that moment, the pack of Wild Dogs had gathered in the clearing, watching their surroundings warily.
Yan Jien counted and found that there were twenty-two Wild Dogs in total.
One of the Wild Dogs stood out from the rest.
It was slightly shorter and smaller than the others, but its eyes were exceptionally bright, and it was walking upright!
It stood among the pack, looking up at the moon in the sky while making whimpering sounds.
The other Wild Dogs also gazed at the moon, emitting similar whimpering sounds as if communicating with it.
"Huh?" Yan Jien was surprised.
That upright walking Wild Dog looked almost human!
Moreover, it seemed highly intelligent, capable of cultivating under the moonlight!

"It must be eliminated!" Yan Jien gritted his teeth.
He quietly approached the pack of Wild Dogs, preparing to strike.
Just then, the upright walking Wild Dog suddenly lowered its head and looked in Yan Jien's direction.
"Woof—" The upright Wild Dog issued a warning sound.
"Argh—" The other Wild Dogs immediately became furious and charged towards Yan Jien's hiding spot.
"Damn!" Yan Jien cursed under his breath.
He didn't expect that the upright walking Wild Dog had such strong perception; he was actually discovered! Since he had already been found out, Yan Jien decided to stop hiding.
"Boom!" Yan Jien transformed into a giant over four meters tall. He took large strides and charged towards the pack of Wild Dogs.
"Bang!" Yan Jien kicked one Wild Dog flying.
"Bang bang bang!" Yan Jien swung his fists, sending Wild Dogs flying one after another. Although the Wild Dogs were fierce, they were no match for the powerful Yan Jien and fell easily! Soon, half of the twenty-two Wild Dogs were knocked down by Yan Jien! The remaining Wild Dogs trembled in fear, no longer daring to attack Yan Jien, and began to retreat.
"Hmph!" Yan Jien snorted coldly, preparing to continue the pursuit. Just then, the upright walking Wild Dog suddenly turned and ran deeper into the jungle.
"Trying to escape?" Yan Jien was furious. He took large strides and chased after it.

Yan Jien pursued the upright walking Wild Dog, sprinting through the jungle. His speed was incredibly fast; in the blink of an eye, he covered several thousand meters. However, the upright walking Wild Dog was not slow either; it weaved through the trees and thorns with agility, maintaining a distance of over a hundred meters from Yan Jien!
"Damn it, no wonder it's a mutant creature; it's truly impressive!" Yan Jien was astonished. He quickened his pace and continued the chase.

Thus, Yan Jien chased Dogman for two hours. During this time, he repeatedly cornered Dogman, but Dogman never left Yinshan Ridge. Ultimately, with no way to escape, Dogman decided to fight Yan Jien to the death!
