"Eh?" Yan Jien exclaimed in surprise.
He noticed that Dogman was continuously fleeing within Yinshan Ridge, unwilling to leave it. It seemed there was something outside of Yinshan Ridge that it feared!
"Could there be some powerful mutant creature outside of Yinshan Ridge?" Yan Jien wondered.
He had heard from the villagers before that there were many mutant creatures within Yinshan Ridge, and Wild Dog was just one of them.
The reason Dogman dared not leave Yinshan Ridge must have a cause!
Yan Jien decided to test it out.
He deliberately slowed his pace, maintaining a certain distance from Dogman.
Sure enough, when Dogman saw Yan Jien slow down, it also slowed its pace.
"It seems it really doesn't dare to leave Yinshan Ridge!" Yan Jien concluded.

He hadn't expected the poisonous needle spat out by Dogman to be so toxic!

"You beast!" Yan Jien roared in anger and delivered a fatal punch to Dogman.
Dogman collapsed on the ground, completely motionless.
Yan Jien checked Dogman's body and found nothing unusual.
"Hmm?" Yan Jien suddenly noticed a metallic object inside Dogman's belly!
He cut open Dogman's abdomen and retrieved the metallic object.
It was a small Satellite Locator Tracker, about the size of a mung bean.
"This is... a tracker?" Yan Jien was astonished.
He recalled seeing on the news before that some mutant creatures had trackers inside them, which were used to monitor their locations so that humans could deal with them in a timely manner. However, how could Dogman, being a mutant creature, have a tracker inside it? Was it artificially raised?
Yan Jien frowned. He remembered that some mutant creatures were raised by humans, such as cattle, pigs, and sheep, all of which had trackers inside them. But who would go through the trouble of raising a mutant Wild Dog? Yan Jien couldn't make sense of it.
He picked up the tracker, thought for a moment, and decided to use this tracker to attach a new one to another Wild Dog, thereby covering up Dogman's death. With that thought, Yan Jien returned to Nine-Headed Peak.
At that moment, the Wild Dogs were all hiding in the jungle near Nine-Headed Peak, trembling as they watched Yan Jien.
"Hmm?" Yan Jien spotted a Wild Dog, and his eyes lit up. This Wild Dog was different from ordinary ones; it had a tuft of white fur on its forehead.
"You're the one!" Yan Jien rushed over and grabbed the Wild Dog.
"Ow—" The Wild Dog struggled in fear.
"Shut up!" Yan Jien punched the Wild Dog to knock it out and then attached the tracker to its body.

Yan Jien nodded in satisfaction. With this tracker, even if Dogman's owner discovered its death, they would only think that Dogman was eaten by a Wild Dog, not suspecting him.
Next, Yan Jien began searching nearby for newborn Wild Dogs. Soon, he found seven puppies in the vicinity. Three of them were deformed, clearly infected by the Wolf Toxin Virus.
"Hmm?" Looking at the seven puppies, Yan Jien suddenly thought of a possibility. Previously, Fang Yuejin mentioned seeing seven puppies with Xiao Wanzi lying beside them taking care of them. With this thought, Yan Jien was thrilled. He took out a bag and placed the seven puppies inside. He intended to take these seven puppies back for further research!
Yan Jien brought the seven puppies home, only to discover that one of them had already died. The remaining six puppies were also on the verge of death.
"Ah, what a pity," Yan Jien sighed. He estimated that these puppies must have starved to death, as they had just been born and hadn't eaten anything yet.
"Well, if they die, they die," Yan Jien shook his head, preparing to bury the remaining six puppies. However, just as he picked up the shovel, a thought suddenly struck him.
"T Liquid is effective against mutated creatures; I wonder if it would work on these puppies?" Yan Jien's eyes lit up. He decided to take the risk and give it a try!
With that in mind, Yan Jien took out three bottles of T Liquid and injected it into each of the six puppies. Half an hour later, he noticed that their condition had stabilized somewhat!
"Haha, that's great!" Yan Jien exclaimed with joy. He quickly grabbed a few more bottles of T Liquid and injected them into the six puppies again. Soon, the puppies regained their vitality!
"That's wonderful!" Yan Jien was extremely excited. He hadn't expected T Liquid to be effective on wild dogs as well!
"From now on, I won't have to worry about wild dogs starving to death!" Yan Jien said happily. He glanced at the time; it was already four in the morning.
"I should head back." Yan Jien moved the five puppies into the car and bid farewell to his parents. He was going to the city to buy some goat milk to feed the five puppies and also visit Fang Yuejin at the hospital.
"Okay," Yan Jien's father nodded.
"Be safe on your way," his mother reminded him.
"I know," Yan Jien replied and drove away from home.
