Watching the three young women leave in a taxi, Yan Jien couldn't help but feel a bit emotional. Today’s incident served as a lesson for the three girls; whether they would learn from it in the future was up to them and had nothing to do with him.
After they left, Brother Qiang and Wan Surname Man didn’t stay long at the bar either and soon called for a designated driver to leave. They had just injected T Liquid not long ago, and to observe its effects, they needed at least one night.
The parking lot of Yan Jien's company was not far from here. While waiting for the designated driver, Yan Jien returned to the parking lot, got into his car, and followed them.
Brother Qiang's car drove out of the city center and stopped at a star-rated hotel in the South Suburb. Yan Jien parked inside as well, got out, and followed them into the hotel. The two only booked one room, and it had a double bed, indicating they planned to spend the night there.
Yan Jien initially thought about booking a room next door for easier surveillance, but there were no rooms available nearby. The hotel had good soundproofing; if he stayed too far away, he wouldn’t be able to hear any noise from their room, so he decided against it.
However, he didn’t leave. To ensure he could use T Liquid without worry in the future, he planned to stay in his car tonight and observe their physical condition when they came out tomorrow.
The night passed without incident. By eight o'clock the next morning, Yan Jien checked and found that they were still alive. Unfortunately, T Liquid did not allow him to sense human emotions like it did with animals; he could only determine their location. If he could sense their emotions, it would have been much more convenient.
Checking the time and intending to get out of the car for some activity, he received a WeChat message from Yan Weila.
"What are you doing?"
"I'm outside; I'll be back soon," Yan Jien replied.
"Oh, then I’ll go buy groceries first," Yan Weila said.
"Okay," Yan Jien nodded.
After replying, he got out of the car to stretch a bit and looked toward the hotel. However, the curtains in their room were drawn, so he couldn’t see what was happening inside.
After waiting another half hour, Yan Jien saw the two men exit the hotel and get into Brother Qiang's car before driving away. He started his car and followed them from a distance.
They drove to a private club in the city where Yan Jien noticed a sign at the entrance indicating it was a men's bathing center. "These two bastards, even in this condition, are still thinking about messing around," Yan Jien cursed under his breath.
He parked by the roadside and followed them into the club.
"Sir, this is a men's bathing center," a male attendant said at the entrance.
"I know; give me a large room," Yan Jien replied.
"Certainly, sir; this way please," the attendant said.
Yan Jien paid and was led to a private room on the third floor.
"Sir, do you need any additional services?" the attendant asked.
"No need." Yan Jien shook his head.
"Then just ring the bell when you need anything," the waiter said.
"Okay." Yan Jien nodded.
The waiter left, and Yan Jien sensed that Brother Qiang and another person were in a room on the fifth floor.
He exited the private room and took the stairs to the fifth floor.
"Brother Qiang, thank you so much for last night."
"We're brothers, no need to thank me."
"Do you have any goods left?"
"Yes, but not much."
"Then give me some."
"Sure, I'll get it to you later."
"Thanks."
"By the way, come over to my place tonight."
"Sounds good, just prepare the stuff."
"No problem."
"..."
Hearing their conversation, Yan Jien frowned slightly.
He didn't expect these two guys were still using drugs. No wonder they contracted AIDS at such a young age; they really brought this upon themselves.
Yan Jien ignored them and returned to his room on the third floor to take a shower before driving home.
"Back already?" Yan Weila was doing yoga in the living room and smiled when she saw Yan Jien come in.
"Yeah." Yan Jien nodded.
"You should go take a shower," Yan Weila said.
"Okay." Yan Jien replied and went to the bathroom to shower.
After finishing his shower, he sat down next to Yan Weila.
"So, any results?" Yan Weila asked.
"Not yet," Yan Jien shook his head.
"Oh," Yan Weila responded.
"By the way, can T Liquid treat AIDS?" Yan Jien asked.
"It should be able to, but the effect might not be as good as for cancer," Yan Weila said.
"Why?" Yan Jien asked in confusion.
"Because AIDS viruses can mutate. While T Liquid can enhance the activity of immune cells, once the virus mutates, those immune cells become ineffective," Yan Weila explained.
"Is that so?" Yan Jien realized.
"What's wrong? The person you're looking for has AIDS?" Yan Weila asked.
"Yeah," Yan Jien nodded.
"Then observe for a bit. If it’s useful, the value of T Liquid will be even higher," Yan Weila said.
"That's true," Yan Jien agreed with a nod.
"What about Dou Dou?" Yan Jien asked.
"She's playing with the dogs in her room," Yan Weila replied.
"I'll go take a look," Yan Jien said with a smile.
He went to Dou Dou's room and saw Dou Dou playing with Bread and Milk Tea.
After two days of recovery, both dogs had grown significantly and were nearly the size of adult Alaskans.
Dou Dou looked like she was recovering well, her complexion rosy and no longer pale like before.
"Dou Dou," Yan Jien called out.
"Uncle!" Dou Dou exclaimed happily upon seeing Yan Jien.
"Dou Dou, are you feeling better?" Yan Jien asked with a smile.
"Yeah, much better," Dou Dou nodded.
"That's good to hear." Yan Jien patted Dou Dou's head and asked, "Have you told your mom that you want to come play at my house?"
"I did, and Mom agreed," Dou Dou replied.
"That's great," Yan Jien nodded.
"Uncle, can I bring the dogs to your house to play?" Dou Dou asked.
"Of course," Yan Jien smiled.
"Awesome!" Dou Dou exclaimed joyfully.
"Let's go out for dinner," Yan Jien said.
"Okay," Dou Dou nodded.
