Yan Jien bit down hard on Professor Fang's neck, tearing at it wildly, causing blood to splatter everywhere.
"You’re asking for death!" Professor Fang finally snapped back to reality, shouting angrily as he punched Yan Jien on the head.
"Bang!"
Yan Jien was struck hard enough to see stars, yet he still clung on tightly.
"Bang!"
"Bang!"
Professor Fang continued to rain down punches on Yan Jien's head, making him dizzy, but he still refused to let go.
"Let go of me!" Professor Fang shouted, landing a punch squarely on Yan Jien's face.
"Crack!"
Yan Jien's jaw dislocated from the blow, and he finally released his grip, flying backward and landing several meters away.
"Damn it!" Professor Fang touched the wound on his neck, gritting his teeth in anger.
A large chunk of flesh had been bitten out of his neck by Yan Jien, leaving a gruesome and bloody sight.
"I'm going to kill you!" Professor Fang glared at Yan Jien as he slowly approached.
"Come on!" Yan Jien roared back.
He struggled to get up but was met with sharp pain from his injuries, gasping in agony and unable to rise.
"It's over." Professor Fang stood before Yan Jien and swung a fist toward his head.
Yan Jien closed his eyes, filled with unwillingness. He hadn't yet saved Yan Weila; he didn't want to die!
Boom!
Suddenly, an invisible shockwave surged into Professor Fang's mind, causing him to momentarily freeze in place.
"I'll be back!" Seeing this opportunity, Yan Jien picked up two stones and turned to run.
Using the virtual map, he unleashed mental shockwaves to keep his distance from Professor Fang, preventing him from getting closer. Despite his severe injuries, Professor Fang was in worse shape; if the battle continued, Yan Jien still had a good chance of winning.
However, he did not dare to continue fighting with Professor Fang, as every second he delayed would worsen his injuries. He needed to find a safe place quickly to wait for his wounds to heal before facing Professor Fang again.
"You're ruthless!" Professor Fang felt the threat of death and dared not pursue Yan Jien any longer; he turned and left.
"What a pity!" Yan Jien sighed upon seeing this. If his injuries weren't so severe, he would definitely want to settle the score with Professor Fang, but unfortunately, he was barely able to protect himself.
He found a pond and simply washed the blood off his wounds before quietly waiting for them to heal. Perhaps his injuries were more serious than before; the recovery was slow, and it wasn't until after five in the morning that he finally felt better.
"It's time to go back," Yan Jien thought as he looked at the sky. He initially considered running back naked but feared being seen; that would be quite the news story.
"It seems I can only ask Vera for help," Yan Jien thought and called Yan Weila.
"Yan Jien, where are you?" Yan Weila answered the phone, her voice choked with tears, clearly having cried not long ago.
"I'm at Jinyuan Mountain. Can you bring me a change of clothes?" Yan Jien asked.
"Stay right there; I'll be there soon!" Yan Weila replied.
"Okay," Yan Jien nodded.
Yan Weila comforted Dou Dou for a moment before sneaking out of the house to bring clothes to Yan Jien. At this early hour, there weren't many people on the road, and she jogged toward Jinyuan Mountain.
"I hope no one discovers Yan Jien's secret," Yan Weila prayed in her heart. She knew very well that if Yan Jien's secret were exposed, it would cause a huge panic, and he wouldn't be able to stay here any longer.
Soon, she arrived at the foot of the mountain and encountered a few people out for morning exercises.
"Have I been discovered?" A chill ran down Yan Weila's spine.
She couldn't bear to imagine what would happen if these people found out about Yan Jien's secret.
"I must deliver the clothes to Yan Jien as soon as possible!" Yan Weila thought, quickening her pace.
She had to get the clothes to Yan Jien before anyone else discovered him; otherwise, it would be trouble.
Soon, she arrived at the location mentioned by Yan Jien. Looking left and right, she couldn't find any trace of him.
"It seems he couldn't wait any longer," Yan Weila said, frowning slightly.
Holding her clothes, she continued to walk up the mountain, dialing Yan Jien's number as she walked. However, after making over a dozen calls without getting through, her worry deepened.
"Where could he be?" Yan Weila pondered.
