"Wait!"
Tong Qingqing opened her eyes and saw the Eyeball Man standing not far in front of her, a bloodstain on his neck that had soaked through his collar.
"You... why are you here?" Tong Qingqing asked in surprise.
"If I didn't come, you'd be dead by now," the Eyeball Man replied irritably.
"I..." Tong Qingqing was at a loss for words, her eyes slightly reddening.
"Step back; I'll handle this," the Eyeball Man said.
"Be careful; he's already in Perfect Form," Tong Qingqing warned.
"I know," the Eyeball Man nodded. "You should focus on healing."
"Okay," Tong Qingqing replied and retreated to a safe distance.
"Who are you?" the Mountain Demon glared at the Eyeball Man, speaking in a deep voice.
"The one who's going to kill you!" the Eyeball Man retorted coldly.
"Arrogant!" The Mountain Demon roared in anger and swiped a claw at him.
The Eyeball Man immediately dodged while counterattacking.
"Smack!" The Mountain Demon's tail struck the Eyeball Man, sending him flying.
"Bang!" The Eyeball Man crashed into the wall, collapsing it.
"With your level of strength, you think you can kill me?" the Mountain Demon scoffed.
"Oh really?" The Eyeball Man emerged from the dust, wiping blood from the corner of his mouth. "Then let's see you try!"
With that, the Eyeball Man began to mutate; his muscles swelled, his clothes ripped apart, scales grew on his skin, and a horn sprouted from his head.
In just a few seconds, he transformed into a humanoid lizard.
"You’re also a Mutant Human?" the Mountain Demon exclaimed in shock.
"Less talk!" the Lizard roared and charged at the Mountain Demon.
"Even if you're a Mutant Human, you're still no match for me!" the Mountain Demon declared confidently.
"Bang!" "Bang!" "Bang!"
The two beasts clashed fiercely, moving at incredible speed with astonishing power. Anything they touched shattered, even the walls were left with large holes from their impact.
With a loud boom, the entire building shook.
Upstairs, in the warehouse.
"Liya, did you hear that noise?" Tong Qingqing asked.
"It seems to be coming from downstairs," Tong Liya replied.
"Go check it out; be careful," Tong Qingqing instructed.
"Okay," Tong Liya agreed and headed downstairs.
Tong Qingqing struggled to stand up and walked over to grab a first aid kit to stop her bleeding and bandage herself.
A few minutes later, she leaned against the wall and reached the staircase, looking down.
What she saw below was chaos; the Eyeball Man and the Mountain Demon were locked in battle.
"How did they end up fighting?" Tong Qingqing wondered in confusion.
"Bang!" Mountain Demon punched the Cyclops in the face, sending him flying.
"Is that all you've got?" Mountain Demon taunted.
"You don't have the right to mock me!" the Cyclops roared.
"Hmph!" Mountain Demon snorted coldly and charged again.
"Roar!" The Cyclops bellowed and engaged in a fierce battle with Mountain Demon.
The two beasts fought from the ground to the upper floors, and then back down again, leaving destruction in their wake.
With a loud crash, the Cyclops was thrown down from the upper floor by Mountain Demon, smashing through the floor.
"You are no match for me!" Mountain Demon said from the edge of the hole, looking down at him.
"I haven't lost yet!" The Cyclops struggled to stand up, glaring at Mountain Demon.
"You are already seriously injured, while I am unscathed," Mountain Demon scoffed.
"So what?" The Cyclops retorted defiantly.
"You can die now!" Mountain Demon leaped down, lunging at the Cyclops.
The Cyclops quickly dodged and ran towards the stairs, heading upstairs.
"Trying to run?" Mountain Demon sneered and chased after him.
Tong Qingqing saw this and quietly followed behind.
The Cyclops ran back into the warehouse, with Mountain Demon following closely behind.
"Why aren't you running now?" Mountain Demon mocked.
"Do I need to run?" the Cyclops countered.
"Hmm?" Mountain Demon frowned.
"This is my home turf," the Cyclops declared.
"Your home turf?" Mountain Demon looked around, "You mean this warehouse?"
"Exactly," the Cyclops admitted.
"What can this warehouse do for you?" Mountain Demon asked in confusion.
"You'll find out soon enough," the Cyclops said with a mysterious smile before pressing a button on a remote control.
"Click! Click! Click!"
Iron bars descended from all sides of the warehouse, sealing off the exits.
"What are you doing?" Mountain Demon exclaimed in shock.
"I told you, this is my home turf," the Cyclops replied calmly.
"You think these iron doors can trap me?" Mountain Demon scoffed.
"Of course not," the Cyclops shook his head, "But this warehouse has anesthetics."
"Anesthetics?" Mountain Demon was taken aback.
"Creak!" The ceiling cracked open, revealing several sprayers.
"This is a special anesthetic designed for Mutant Humans; even inhaling a little bit will knock you out," the Cyclops explained.
"You... you're so despicable!" Mountain Demon said angrily.
"Thank you for the compliment," the Cyclops smiled, "Now, do you have any last words?"
"I... I'll fight you!" Mountain Demon roared as he charged at the Cyclops Man.
"Bang!" Just a few steps in, Mountain Demon felt his legs give way and collapsed to the ground.
"Why... do I have no strength?" Mountain Demon exclaimed in shock.
"This is the effect of the anesthetic," Cyclops Man replied.
"You... you're so despicable!" Mountain Demon gritted his teeth.
"To the victor belong the spoils," Cyclops Man said calmly. "Now, you can go die."
With that, Cyclops Man stepped in front of Mountain Demon and delivered a punch.
"Boom!" Mountain Demon's head was crushed, blood splattering everywhere.
"Finally dead," Cyclops Man sighed in relief.
"Are you okay?" Tong Qingqing approached, concerned.
"I'm fine," Cyclops Man waved his hand. "How about you?"
"I'm alright," Tong Qingqing replied.
"This Mountain Demon is too dangerous; he must be dealt with quickly," Cyclops Man said seriously.
"How did he find me?" Tong Qingqing asked, puzzled.
"I'm investigating this matter as well," Cyclops Man frowned.
"I don't think it's that simple," Tong Qingqing pondered.
"Do you have any leads?" Cyclops Man inquired.
"I suspect there might be a traitor among us," Tong Qingqing said gravely.
"A traitor?" Cyclops Man's pupils constricted. "Why do you say that?"
"I'm just guessing," Tong Qingqing shook her head. "I don't have concrete evidence yet."
"I'll keep an eye out," Cyclops Man said solemnly.
"Okay," Tong Qingqing nodded. "We can't stay here; I need to change locations."
"Alright," Cyclops Man agreed with a nod. "I'll help you arrange it."
"Thank you," Tong Qingqing expressed her gratitude.
