Yan Jien anxiously watched Tong Liya's condition in the room. Her reactions were becoming more intense, and her strength was increasing. "Awoo!" Tong Liya let out a low growl and charged at Yan Jien. He turned to flee, but Tong Liya was faster; she grabbed both of his arms and lifted him up as if he were a child. "Liya, calm down!" Yan Jien shouted.
Tong Liya ignored him; she opened her mouth, revealing sharp teeth, and bit down towards Yan Jien's neck. "Damn it!" Yan Jien cursed loudly and quickly transformed to protect himself.
Crunch! Crunch! Tong Liya's teeth sank into Yan Jien's scales, sending sparks flying. Although Yan Jien's scales were tough, Tong Liya's biting force was terrifyingly strong; she actually tore through the scales and penetrated into his flesh. "Hiss—" Yan Jien gasped in pain. He felt his strength and blood flowing out through the wound. "Liya, let go!" Yan Jien struggled desperately.
But Tong Liya's strength was too great, and Yan Jien couldn't escape at all. Gradually, Yan Jien lost his strength, and his consciousness began to blur. "I'm done for..." This was Yan Jien's last thought before losing consciousness.
The next morning, Yan Jien was awakened by a scream. He rubbed his painfully throbbing head and sat up. "Huh?" Yan Jien was surprised to find that he was still alive. He checked the wound on his neck and found that it had already healed. "Strange..." "Yeah." Yan Jien nodded and turned to look at Tong Liya. She was wrapped in a blanket, sitting on the edge of the bed, staring at Yan Jien with a complicated expression.
"Liya, are you... okay?" Yan Jien asked with concern.
Tong Liya continued to look at him without saying a word.
"Liya?" Yan Jien was extremely worried as he reached out to touch Tong Liya.
"Don't touch me!" Tong Liya jumped up as if electrocuted, retreating to the corner of the wall, watching Yan Jien warily.
"Liya..." Yan Jien was stunned.
"What... what did you do to me?" Tong Liya asked, hugging her arms and trembling.
"I..." Yan Jien was at a loss for words; he didn't know how to explain.
"Why... did I end up like this?" Tong Liya continued to ask, her voice tinged with tears.
"Please don't be afraid," Yan Jien comforted her. "It's just your transformation."
"Transformation?" Tong Liya was taken aback.
"Yes, you are a Mutant Human with the ability to transform," Yan Jien explained.
"How... how did I become like that?" Tong Liya clearly couldn't accept this fact.
"You were stimulated, which led to a genetic mutation, that's why you look like that," Yan Jien said.
"I... I..." Tong Liya opened her mouth but couldn't say anything.
"Liya, don't worry, I will help you," Yan Jien said seriously.
"How... how will you help me?" Tong Liya asked.
"Well..." Yan Jien scratched his head, as he couldn't think of a good solution at the moment.
"You... you should go out first..." Tong Liya said.
"Uh... okay." Yan Jien nodded and stood up, walking towards the exit.
He had just taken two steps when suddenly his legs felt weak, and he fell to the floor.
"What... what's wrong with me?" Yan Jien exclaimed, looking at his legs in surprise.
He realized he felt completely drained and couldn't muster any strength.
"I... I don't know," Tong Liya shook her head.
"I... I almost got drained by you," Yan Jien said with a wry smile.
