Yan Jien spent two days playing with Tong Liya at the Tian Ding Mountain Scenic Area, and on the third day, they headed back home. After all, although Bread and Milk Tea were safe alone in their territory, Yan Jien was still somewhat worried.
So, on the morning of the third day, around eight o'clock, the two checked out of their hotel room and hurried back. Before noon, they had returned to Jubao Huayuan.
After parking the car, Yan Jien sensed the status of Bread and Milk Tea, and his expression changed drastically. He discovered that Milk Tea was actually asleep and did not respond at all to his messages. Normally, even if Milk Tea was asleep, it would wake up immediately to respond to him.
Given the current situation, it could only mean that Milk Tea was in a state of coma. Additionally, Bread's condition was also strange; Yan Jien could feel its anger and a bit of sleepiness, and it was running quickly as if trying to escape from something.
"Could it be that they were discovered by ordinary people?" Yan Jien frowned. He focused his attention and sensed the markers near Bread. This time, he vaguely heard what seemed like someone chasing it.
"Could it be that Bread and Milk Tea were spotted by ordinary people?" Yan Jien's heart tightened. Although ordinary people posed no threat to him, Bread and Milk Tea would not be able to act against them; they lacked sufficient intelligence and would instinctively be afraid. If discovered by ordinary people, they could easily get hurt.
"You stay here; I'll go check it out!" Yan Jien said in a deep voice.
Hearing this, Tong Liya quickly grabbed him: "Yan Jien, be careful."
"Okay," Yan Jien nodded and quickly ran toward the Jinyuan Mountain Area.
In an open area west of the red pine forest, Milk Tea lay on the ground while a man wearing sunglasses and sporting a buzz cut stood nearby. Besides him, two other men were chasing after Bread.
"Stop right there!" Yan Jien shouted angrily.
"Huh?" The buzz-cut man paused for a moment and turned to look at Yan Jien. The two men chasing after Bread also stopped in their tracks.
"Who are you?" Yan Jien rushed over quickly.
"And who are you?" The buzz-cut man looked Yan Jien up and down.
"I am the owner of these two Huskies!" Yan Jien said in a deep voice. "What have you done to them?"
"The owner of the Huskies?" The buzz-cut man was taken aback for a moment and then forced a laugh. "Well... we thought these two Huskies didn't have an owner, so we wanted to catch them and sell them."
"Sell?" Yan Jien's expression darkened.
"It’s a misunderstanding, just a misunderstanding!" The buzz-cut man quickly waved his hands.
"What did you do to them?" Yan Jien glared at him.
"We... we used a tranquilizer gun on them," the buzz-cut man said with an awkward smile.
Upon hearing this, Yan Jien's face fell. "A tranquilizer gun? Do you want to kill them?"
"No, no!" The buzz-cut man hurriedly waved his hands. "It's just ordinary tranquilizers, the effects only last a few hours."
Hearing this, Yan Jien relaxed slightly. He coldly looked at the man. "I don't care who you are; if you dare to lay a hand on them again, you'll regret it!"
"Yes, yes!" The buzz-cut man nodded repeatedly.
"Get lost!" Yan Jien waved his hand.
"Thank you, big brother!" The buzz-cut man felt as if he had been granted amnesty and turned to run away with his two subordinates.
Yan Jien ignored them and quickly walked over to Nai Cha, crouching down to check its condition.
At this moment, Nai Cha had already fallen into a deep sleep, but its breathing was steady, so it should be fine.
On the other hand, Bao Bao's condition was somewhat strange; although it was angry, it also seemed a bit sleepy.
Yan Jien guessed that it must have also been hit by the tranquilizer gun.
He looked around but did not see any sign of Bao Bao.
"This guy runs pretty fast," Yan Jien chuckled.
He picked up Nai Cha and headed in the direction of his home.
As for Bao Bao, he wasn't too worried.
Although this guy was silly, it was quite strong; ordinary people couldn't harm it at all.
Moreover, its sense of smell is very keen, allowing it to find its way home.
"Big Brother, are we really just leaving like this?" A young man with yellow hair looked reluctantly at the buzz-cut man from a nearby grove.
"What else can we do?" The buzz-cut man shot him an annoyed glance. "Do you want to fight that guy?"
"But..." The young man with yellow hair seemed unsatisfied.
"Enough with the 'buts.'" The buzz-cut man glared at him. "That male Husky has already received a shot from me; it won't run far. We'll come back to look for it tonight."
"Big Brother, why do we have to wait until tonight?" The young man asked, puzzled.
"Are you stupid?" The buzz-cut man slapped him. "That guy is definitely looking for the male Husky right now. If we go looking for it now, won't we be walking into a trap?"
"Oh!" The young man suddenly understood.
"Let's go!" The buzz-cut man waved his hand.
"Big Brother, who do you think that guy is?" The young man asked curiously.
"How would I know?" The buzz-cut man shrugged. "But from the looks of him, he seems to be the owner of those two Huskies."
"What should we do then?" The young man looked worried. "What if he calls the police on us?"
"Are you stupid?" The buzz-cut man slapped him again. "We're from Weilke Pet Company; does he dare to call the police?"
"Oh right!" The young man scratched his head and smiled foolishly.
"Alright, enough talk; let's hurry up!" The buzz-cut man urged.
"Okay!" The young man nodded and followed behind him as they walked down the mountain.
Yan Jien was checking the status of the milk tea and did not notice the exchange between the buzz-cut man and those two guys; otherwise, he definitely would not have let them off easily.
