"Xiao Yan." Yan Weila grabbed Yan Jien's arm. "I ask you, have you ever thought about having both me and Liya at the same time?"
"Uh..." Yan Jien awkwardly scratched his nose. "That thought is too ridiculous. I wouldn't test it, nor would I stoop to scheming."
"You're just pretending." Yan Weila rolled her eyes. "What you men think about, don't think I don't know."
"..." Yan Jien smiled sheepishly, not rebutting.
Yan Weila was right; he did have such thoughts in his heart, but he was unwilling to admit it.
"Actually, it's quite good that you feel this way." Yan Weila looked at him and smiled sweetly. "At least it proves you're not a scumbag who would go to any lengths to satisfy your desires."
"Are you complimenting me?" Yan Jien said with a wry smile.
"Of course." Yan Weila nodded. "I like honest and reliable men."
"What about me?" Yan Jien blinked. "What do you think of me?"
"You?" Yan Weila pouted. "You still have a long way to go."
"..." Yan Jien was instantly speechless.
"Alright." Yan Weila giggled. "You should go back first; I'll stay here for a while longer."
"You came back alone?" Yan Jien suddenly asked.
"Why?" Yan Weila looked at him with a teasing smile. "Do you want me to stay?"
"I..." Yan Jien hesitated for a moment and said with a bitter smile, "Actually, I don't want you to go back."
"Why?" Yan Weila asked with a bright smile.
"I'm worried about Liya," Yan Jien said candidly.
"Worried about Liya?" Yan Weila was taken aback for a moment before understanding. "You’re afraid that if I go back, Liya will be in danger?"
"Yes." Yan Jien nodded.
"Sigh." Yan Weila sighed. "Xiao Yan, I really don’t know what to say about you."
"What do you mean?" Yan Jien asked in confusion.
"Sometimes I think you're very smart, and other times I think you're quite foolish," Yan Weila said as she rolled her eyes at him.
"Uh..." Yan Jien smiled awkwardly.
"Don't worry." Yan Weila shook her head. "Since you don't want me to go back, then I'll just stay at home."
"Really?" Yan Jien was overjoyed.
"Why would I lie to you?" Yan Weila shot him a playful glare.
"Hehe." Yan Jien grinned widely. "Thank you."
"Is that all? Just words of thanks?" Yan Weila blinked. "Is there nothing else?"
"Ahem." Yan Jien cleared his throat. "What do you want?"
"What do you think?" Yan Weila licked her lips, her gaze alluring.
"......" Yan Jien suddenly felt dry in his mouth.
What happened next was a natural progression. Although Yan Weila's physique was not as strong as Tong Liya's, it was still quite robust. The two of them had been at it for an entire afternoon and still looked energetic. However, considering Tong Liya's feelings, Yan Jien did not stay overnight and returned home around six in the evening.
He opened the door and called out, "Liya, I'm back."
There was no response.
"Liya?" Yan Jien called again.
Still no sound.
"Where did that girl run off to?" Yan Jien muttered as he walked toward the bedroom.
Pushing open the door, he was instantly stunned.
He saw Tong Liya standing in front of the window, staring at him coldly. Her gaze was strange, filled with a hint of madness and bloodlust, like an enraged beast.
"Liya, what's wrong with you?" Yan Jien frowned and asked.
Tong Liya did not speak; her figure swayed and charged toward him.
"Huh?" Yan Jien was taken aback.
Before he could react, Tong Liya was already in front of him, her right fist clenched tightly as she struck fiercely at his chest.
Bang!
Yan Jien's body flew backward and crashed heavily against the wall.
"Liya, have you gone mad?" Yan Jien struggled to stand up and shouted angrily.
He never expected that Tong Liya would actually attack him. Moreover, she used all her strength. If it weren't for his tough physique, that punch could have cost him his life.
"I want to kill you!" Tong Liya growled and charged at him again.
"Liya, stop!" Yan Jien's expression changed as he hurriedly shouted.
However, Tong Liya completely ignored him and threw a punch at his head.
Yan Jien's pupils contracted as he leaned back sharply to avoid the blow.
Boom!
Tong Liya's fist grazed past the tip of his nose and smashed into the wall. The entire building seemed to tremble slightly.
"Liya, wake up!" Yan Jien shouted loudly.
Tong Liya's state was clearly off, and he had to bring her back to her senses. However, Tong Liya seemed not to hear his words and delivered a sweeping kick to his waist. Yan Jien frowned, neither dodging nor defending himself, and took the hit head-on.
Bang!
A tremendous force hit him, causing Yan Jien's body to bend like a shrimp, his face turning red.
"Wow!"
He spat out a mouthful of blood, and only then did his complexion ease a bit.
"Liya, wake up!" Yan Jien shouted as he grabbed Tong Liya's arm.
"Kill! Kill! Kill!" Tong Liya's eyes were bloodshot as she struggled wildly.
"Liya, it's me!" Yan Jien held onto her tightly, not letting her break free while continuing to shout, "I'm Yan Jien, your boyfriend!"
"Boyfriend?" Tong Liya paused for a moment.
"Yes." Yan Jien was overjoyed. "Liya, you're finally awake."
"You..." Tong Liya stared at him, her brows furrowed. "Are you really my boyfriend?"
"Of course." Yan Jien nodded vigorously.
"Then why are you with that vixen?" Tong Liya glared at him, fire flashing in her eyes again.
"I..." Yan Jien opened his mouth, unsure of what to say.
"Speak!" Tong Liya screamed.
"Liya, please calm down," Yan Jien comforted her. "It's not what you think."
"What is it then?" Tong Liya gritted her teeth.
"I..." Yan Jien opened his mouth again, about to explain. Just then, Tong Liya suddenly broke free from his grasp and grabbed his neck.
"Liya, you..." Yan Jien's expression changed.
"I'm going to kill you!" Tong Liya roared.
