Chapter Twenty-Seven: The Punishment of the Deity
I ran into the woods, and the classmates who had previously been scared and had run out followed me again.
Soon, I found Xia Ling. At that moment, she was still kneeling on the ground, her expression indescribably strange. How should I put it? Her face showed immense pain, yet her mouth was twisted into a sinister smile, making her look very eerie.

I was chanting the incantation to lift the binding of the House Spirit. The reason Xia Ling had been kneeling and unable to move was that she was bound by earth energy and had been placed under a binding spell.
Once I finished the incantation, I dashed over to Xia Ling’s side and aimed my finger at her three-inch point.
The so-called three-inch point is also known as the Yang gap. The Evil Spirit does not truly invade the human body; it usually attaches itself to a person’s back or chest, mostly on the back. In the countryside, some children claim to see certain uncles carrying someone on their back all day long. Especially when crossing a threshold, when a person passes through, the ghost on their back hasn’t crossed yet, so its feet hit the threshold with a “bang,” indicating that the Evil Spirit has already attached itself. However, there is always Yang Qi in a person’s body; thus, neither Evil Spirits nor celestial beings can attach themselves closely and must maintain a distance of three inches from the body. This distance is what is referred to as three inches or Yang gap.
As I rushed over, before my finger could reach the three-inch point, Xia Ling, who had been kneeling still all along, suddenly jumped up and leaped high into a tree fork nearby, reaching about three or four meters high.
She squatted on the tree fork and shouted at me, “You little Yin-Yang! How dare you be so bold! Just wait until I teach you a lesson!” Saying this, she jumped down at an incredible speed. I only felt a gust of wind rushing toward me before it felt like Xia Ling had kicked me in the face, sending me flying several meters away.
I felt a fiery pain on my face; however, at this moment, I couldn’t care less because Xia Ling was charging at me again.
I did not run away; instead, I sidestepped when she lunged at me, and then braced myself for the impact as she collided with me. Fortunately, I managed to catch her in my arms and struck decisively at the spot three inches behind her back.
In an instant, I felt Xia Ling's body go limp, and she collapsed softly onto the ground.
I knew that the land had been forced out of Xia Ling's body, so I hurriedly called for everyone to carry Xia Ling away.
At that moment, most of my classmates were too scared to approach, so I shouted angrily for them to hurry up. Only then did two boys rush over, pick up Xia Ling, and run outside.
