"Miss Jia Yi, there are some things I cannot disclose right now, but I assure you, I will never harm you. I will ensure your safe arrival at your destination," Uncle Zhao replied firmly.
Xu Jiayi hesitated for a moment but eventually nodded. She decided to temporarily trust Uncle Zhao and followed him away.
"Let's go, Miss Jia Yi. Time is of the essence," Uncle Zhao said with a smile, signaling the men in black to clear the way.

"This is where Lu Fan currently lives. Go on in; he is waiting for you," Uncle Zhao said as he opened the car door and gestured for Xu Jiayi to get out.
Taking a deep breath, Xu Jiayi stepped into the villa. The living room was spacious and bright, decorated in a simple and elegant style. Sunlight streamed through the floor-to-ceiling windows, illuminating the entire room.
A tall figure stood with his back to Xu Jiayi at the window. Hearing her footsteps, he slowly turned around.

A cold smirk curled at the corners of Lin Tianyu's mouth, and a glint of ruthlessness flashed in his eyes. He turned around and instructed the bodyguard behind him, "Find out what important projects the Xu Family has been working on recently. I want them to know what happens to those who betray me!"
"Yes, Young Master," the bodyguard replied with his head bowed before turning to exit the study.
Lin Tianyu walked over to the wine cabinet, poured himself a glass of red wine, and gently swirled it in the glass, his gaze deep and icy.
"Lu Fan, do you think your return will change anything? Let me tell you, this is just the beginning!" Lin Tianyu downed the glass of red wine in one go, his eyes filled with madness and hatred.

"What?!" Xu Zhenhua and Xu Jiayi's faces changed dramatically. They knew that Lin Group was trying to take advantage of the situation to completely swallow Xu Group.
"Lin Tianyu is truly despicable and shameless, taking advantage of us!" Xu Jiayi clenched her fists tightly, her nails digging into her palms as she gritted her teeth.
"Jia Yi, calm down," Xu Zhenhua said in a deep voice, a hint of helplessness on his face.
"Calm down? Dad, what should we do now? Just watch as Lin Tianyu swallows Xu Group?" Xu Jiayi's tone was filled with anger and unwillingness.

He informed Lin Tianyu that if Lin Group continued to acquire Xu Group, he would make the incriminating evidence public. Lin Tianyu looked at Lu Fan, his eyes filled with rage and apprehension. "What do you want?" Lin Tianyu asked in a low voice, his tone heavy with suppressed anger. Lu Fan smiled faintly. "It's simple. I want you to withdraw from the acquisition plan for Xu Group."
"On what grounds?" Lin Tianyu shouted angrily; he was unwilling to give up so easily. "On the basis of this evidence, and my strength as Lu Fan," Lu Fan replied calmly, his eyes brimming with confidence. He pointed at the documents in front of Lin Tianyu and then at himself.
Lin Tianyu fell silent for a moment; he understood that Lu Fan was not lying. He knew Lu Fan had the capability to do everything he claimed. "Alright, I agree," Lin Tianyu finally conceded, sitting helplessly in his chair, a look of defeat on his face.
Lu Fan nodded. He did not feel happy about Lin Tianyu's concession; he understood that Lin Tianyu would not give up easily and would continue to seek opportunities. "Lin Tianyu, this is just the beginning; your nightmare has only just begun!" Lu Fan thought to himself. He would not let Lin Tianyu off the hook; he was determined to take revenge for his past.
After leaving Lin Tianyu's office, Lu Fan returned to Xu Jiayi's side and shared the news of Lin Tianyu's withdrawal from the acquisition plan with her. "You did it?"
