I looked at the Entrance at the same time as that man.
Xiao Minxing was wearing a pristine white shirt, with a light blue Tie, and his legs were wrapped in a pair of handmade black dress pants. He stood there exuding a chill, his face as icy as if he had just been pulled out of a freezer.
The man quickly nodded and said, “Xiao Zong.”
Only then did he stride in with long legs, but his eyes did not look at him; instead, he fixed his gaze on me and asked a baffling question: “Are you free now?”
I suspected he had lost his memory. I raised the documents in my hand without saying a word, but the man spoke first: “I’ll go get busy now.”
After Reception Room was left with just the two of us, he sat casually in the nearest chair, reached out to take the folder from my hand, and flipped through a couple of pages casually.
I stood a step away from him, watching his every move with narrowed eyes.
I had to admit, he looked quite elegant and noble. Whether it was his attire, appearance, or demeanor, I had yet to see anyone who could match him.
His long, defined fingers curled slightly as they flipped through the documents, even the casual curve was stunningly beautiful.
His entire figure radiated a powerful aura that ordinary people could hardly match, and the masculine scent easily wafted into my nostrils.
He looked up, his gaze quickly sweeping over me before lowering again to look at his Tie.
I felt confused but followed his gaze to take another look.
Oh my, I was stunned myself. Today, I actually wore a light blue suit that closely matched the color of his tie, and the top had some black lace, which surprisingly complemented his pants. We looked like a couple in matching outfits.
My face was burning; I had never noticed such similarities in our clothing before.
I wondered what Xiao Minxing was thinking, but his face showed no expression.
He quickly stood up, threw me three words, and headed out.
"Come with me."
I was stunned for half a second but immediately followed him, stopping together at the elevator entrance.
A few people who were obviously waiting for the elevator saw him and bowed slightly while calling him "Xiao Zong." They then unconsciously shifted their gaze to me. Although they didn't say anything, their eyes were filled with curiosity and gossip.
When the elevator arrived, Xiao Minxing entered first, and I followed closely behind. The others scattered and none of them came in.
It seemed that the tyrant wasn't well-liked in the company; otherwise, why would those colleagues look so frightened upon seeing him?
I thought to myself and couldn't help but glance at Xiao Minxing standing slightly behind me.
He stood very still, legs slightly apart, eyes fixed on the numbers ascending in the elevator, holding documents in his hand without moving at all.
I didn't dare to move either, as if I were frozen by an invisible spell.
The awkward and heavy atmosphere pressed painfully against my chest.
Fortunately, the elevator doors opened quickly. I hurriedly stepped out, but I didn't know where to go. After Xiao Minxing exited, he didn't even look at me and directly turned left, gracefully stepping into an Office.
He must be doing this on purpose, deliberately bringing me here, intentionally taking me to a place where others are nervously working, purposely making me embarrassed, and intentionally diminishing my worth to achieve his goal of further destroying me.
He is already so outstanding, yet he still wants to suppress me to the point where I feel completely insignificant, just a particle, a speck of dust, like a weed beneath the feet of someone like him that can be trampled at will.
It's truly despicable.
