I panicked for a moment, reaching out my hand to ask the police for help, but Li Ru was quicker, grabbing my other arm as well.

Xiao Minhui echoed from the side: "I thought he really wasn't here; turns out he was just hiding away."

Xiao Minhui lifted her foot slightly but ultimately did not move forward.
Li Ru glanced at her with disdain on his face, but he did not step forward.

Someone quietly stood beside me and asked, "Auntie, why are you here to join the fun?"
I turned my head to see Mina standing next to me. Her eyes were also fixed on Xiao Minxing and the Xiao Family Sisters, but her tone was full of interest: "What do you think they will stir up today?"
I pulled her and asked, "Are you here to watch the show?"
Mina shook her head and said, "In this situation, it's hard not to watch. What do you think is hidden in Xiao Minxing's office that he won't let anyone in?"

She was right; it was just as I had initially analyzed, but I hadn't expected someone to be hiding in his office.
After watching for a while, Mina pulled me and said, "Let's go. It probably won't yield any results for a while. We should find a place to sit for a bit before coming back."
I actually wanted to see how Xiao Minxing would handle the situation, but thinking about how Xiao Minying had treated me earlier made me worry. What if they really couldn't deal with Xiao Minxing and then turned their attention to me?
Since no one was paying attention to me at the moment, it was better to slip away.
Mina and I sat in a café near his company for almost an hour before we saw the cars of the Xiao Family Sisters gradually leaving Zhi Xing.
Mina shook her head and said, "Well, now it's our turn to go in."

The entire floor returned to silence, but the office door of Xiao Minxing was still closed.
Before Mina and I reached the entrance, his assistant stopped us and respectfully said, "Please wait in the Reception Room for a moment; Mr. Xiao has a guest right now."
Mina immediately asked, "Is there still someone here?"
The assistant didn't reply to her but smiled as he led us to the adjacent room, served us tea, and then left.
Most of the day was spent waiting, and by the time Xiao Minxing was available to see us, it was already noon.
At that moment, Jin Ke also called me, asking when I would be back for lunch so she could prepare it in advance.
I glanced at Xiao Minxing hesitantly and said, "Let's go back now; you can start making it. But make a bit more; I might... I might bring one or two friends over."
After hanging up the phone, Mina asked me, "Is your little housekeeper behaving well?"
She directed her question at me but was looking at Xiao Minxing with a very curious expression.
I couldn't be bothered to deal with her, so I whispered, "She's making dumplings at home. Should we go back and eat together?"
Actually, I was mostly asking Xiao Minxing, because I really wasn't sure what he would do. He might just say no and take us out to eat instead; he had done that before.
But Mina acted like a catalyst. Before he could say anything, she immediately replied, "Sure! I’m a bit hungry too. Let’s go together, right Xiao Zong? You must love dumplings as well!"
Xiao Minxing paused for a moment but still responded with a "mm."
I almost thought I was hearing things. Even if he agreed, he usually wouldn't say anything in the past. It seemed like he was really stimulated today to respond to Mina's words.
However, Mina's expression wasn't much better than mine. After staring at him blankly for a moment, she started rubbing her eyes.
I quietly reminded her, "Be careful with your mascara. Besides, your eyes can't hear."
She immediately turned around and shot me a glare, saying, "I know, but I can see his lip shape."
"Ah? Did he open his mouth just now?" I asked.
Mina got even angrier and reached out to grab me to argue.
We had intentionally lagged behind Xiao Minxing by a few steps, and now we were even further back. Watching him press the car key and stand there waiting for us, we hurriedly quickened our pace to catch up.
But he mercilessly shot a glance at Mina and said, "Go drive your own car."
