We talked for half a day, just passing the time, and in the end, we accomplished nothing and were still freezing outside.

I didn't insist on keeping her. She had already spent the whole afternoon with me after coming over on the weekend; she should have her own time too. I knew Mina actually had many friends. When we first met, she often went out with them. I don't know when it started, but she began spending more and more time with me and rarely mentioned those friends anymore.
She has a great personality and interacts with people straightforwardly. Unless someone really has an issue with her, they usually accept her well. Moreover, Mina is quite well-known in her industry.
During her years working with Zhuo Feng, many headhunting companies would reach out to her from time to time to try to recruit her. But since she was happy working there with Zhuo Feng around, she never considered moving elsewhere.
Now the situation is different; perhaps as she said, maybe it's really time for a change.
When Xiao Minxing returned, I had already finished dinner and was half-lying on the bed asleep.
I suddenly opened my eyes when I heard the sound of the bedroom door and saw him standing at the entrance with a chill around him.
"Is it raining outside?" I asked him.
Xiao Minxing nodded and said, "Light rain, not heavy. I'm going to take a shower and change clothes first."
The door closed again, and I sat on the bed thinking, how could he get wet even if it rained? His company Elevator can go directly to the underground garage, and driving back also leads to the Community's underground garage. Unless he intentionally went out to get wet, otherwise he could walk straight from the garage to the Elevator without getting exposed to the rain.
The raindrops on him hadn't soaked in yet; they looked like he had just been caught in the rain. This means that when he came back, he didn't take the Elevator directly up but walked around inside the Community for a while?
I didn't even know why I was thinking about this. Anyway, when I woke up groggy and saw him, I couldn't help but analyze it like Sherlock Holmes.
When my mind finally cleared up, Xiao Minxing came out of the bathroom.
I pulled back the covers and let him sit on the bed.
He kept his distance and said, "You were sleeping so soundly, and I'm all damp. Don't catch a cold."
I couldn't help but laugh, "Am I that delicate? Right now, I'm practically useless."
After warming up for a bit, Xiao Minxing pulled me into his arms and said, "It's good to be a little delicate; I like you this way."
I looked at him with amusement and asked, "What if I were a strong woman like Mina? Would you not like me then?"
Xiao Minxing laughed as well: "If you really were like her, I'd still like you. As long as it's you, I like you no matter what."
Such words are sweet, but they never get old.
After sitting for a while, Xiao Minxing suddenly seemed to remember something and asked me, "Is Mina at our place this afternoon?"
I nodded and said, "Yes, she went home after dinner."
Xiao Minxing nodded thoughtfully and said, "She seemed a bit unhappy today; I was worried she might be going through something again."
"Mina is a very strong person. Unless she's faced with something really tough, she should be fine."
Xiao Minxing didn't respond directly but paused before asking again, "Is she unhappy at Zhuo Feng too?"
I nodded and looked at him, asking, "You know about this too?"
Xiao Minxing slowly explained Mina's recent situation. It turned out that during the time when Zhuo Feng's new relationship was exposed, Mina had almost avoided going to his company for business.
Fortunately, since the client was Xiao Minxing, there weren't any major issues. However, recently she had started going back again.
From this, Xiao Minxing judged that she probably didn't want to continue at Zhuo Feng, but for some reason, she stayed.
I briefly shared with him what I talked about with Mina in the afternoon and sighed, "If only we had a lot of money."

He immediately raised his hand to his ear and said, "I swear, this debt won't be so easy to repay; it might take a lifetime or even several lifetimes."
His sweet words made my heart bloom with joy. I was too lazy to get entangled in how long a lifetime is and just nestled in his arms to sleep.
Xiao Minxing was hesitant to hold me tightly; he only loosely wrapped his arm around my shoulder while placing his other hand on my belly. After a long time, he softly said, "If I had known having a child would be this hard, we might as well have adopted one."
