I feel ashamed to say that I had never thought to learn about Ye Guang before, nor had I considered checking how impressive the Ye Family really was. I only occasionally heard someone mention them and never paid it much mind, forgetting about it once the moment passed.
Now that I think about it, my friendship with Ye Guang pales in comparison to my dislike for his mother.
There is very little information about the Ye Family available online; the few pieces I found were all positive. They praised Ye Guang's father's achievements one by one, and Mrs. Ye appeared everywhere. In every photo and video, she could be seen elegantly linked to Ye Dad's arm, like a true woman of high society.
It only mentioned that they had a son, but there was not a single word about what this son was like.
Xiao Minxing held Xiao Zhe as he entered the Study Room and glanced at the content on my computer. He said, "You won't find anything useful here. If you want to know more, we can inquire through other channels."
I looked up at him and asked, "Where else can we find out? They are in politics, not celebrities; they shouldn't have everything exposed."
Before I could finish my sentence, Xiao Zhe had already heard my voice and poked his little head out from Xiao Minxing's arms, waving at me while saying "ah ah ya ya."
Xiao Minxing then handed him over to me and said, "Feed your son first. I'll figure something out. But knowing this doesn't help Ye Guang much; even if he gets exposed to the media, can it really bring back family ties?"
He made a good point. If something really happened to the Ye Family, I thought Ye Guang would only suffer more. He probably wouldn't even have the most basic living supplies, let alone expect familial affection to protect him.
I used to envy those children who had parents and wealthy ones at that, but now seeing Xiao Minxing and then looking at Ye Guang, I suddenly felt that being an orphan wasn't so bad after all. At least some things were predetermined not to exist, so there was no need to strive for them and thus avoid potential harm.
I didn't know how Xiao Minxing negotiated with the Ye Family or what methods he might have used. In any case, since that time, we could visit Ye Guang in the Hospital anytime without needing the Ye Family's company.
Moreover, when we went for the second time, we indeed brought Xiao Zhe along.

Ye Guang then looked at Xiao Zhe again.
From his gaze and expression, we couldn't discern anything, but the Doctor and Nurse who followed were clearly very happy. They said he used to show no Interest in anything and would just draw every day. Now that he can see us like this, it is already a significant improvement.
The Doctor even called us aside and asked what our relationship with Ye Guang was.
I briefly replied, "A friend. We used to learn painting together when he was doing well. I am Qiu Yuhan."

Xiao Minxing turned to look at me, his gaze serious and his tone firmer than before.
"That is the truth, but if his family disagrees, we cannot keep him here. He is not a normal person; we can't just bring him over like inviting a friend to stay. He has intellectual issues and needs adult supervision like a child, and that authority is not in our hands."
Yes, he is not a normal person. Those who decide his fate are indifferent to him, and we are powerless to intervene.
I asked Xiao Minxing if there was any way to negotiate with Ye Guang's parents.
He shook his head firmly. "They won't agree. That's their bottom line. The reason Mrs. Ye approached you before and didn't want you near him was for this very reason. Ye Guang can be sick and stay in the Hospital. However, given the power of the Ye Family, they won't allow anyone to get close or try to take advantage of him.
