Longwen walked beside me, and the pressure emanating from him grew heavier as we moved further away from Mina's house.
I wanted to say something to him, but I had no idea what would be appropriate. In the end, I was so anxious that I started to sweat, but he spoke first.
"Let's sit at a café for a while. Mina told me you are her best friend, so I wanted to talk to you about her."

Longwen looked at me and said, "I can see that Miss Qiu is quite nervous and seems to have many defenses against me."

Longwen took out a business card from his pocket and respectfully handed it to me.
It had the name of an artist from a music company along with his name and phone number.
He said with neither humility nor arrogance, "I know that such a minor employee might not mean much in your eyes. I'm not giving you this to prove anything; it's just that if you have any questions later on, you can always reach out to me."
Well then, he certainly had a way about him. At least with this card in hand, I could have Xiao Minxing check if this company existed and also look into this person's character.

Hearing this made me angry. Do I even need to say that? If another person with bad intentions appears, I could break his legs in advance to save Mina from getting drunk later.
Of course, if I said that, Xiao Minxing would definitely hang up the phone and ignore me.

I responded to her: "With such a friend, how could it not be good? Besides, isn't she also thinking of me in every way?"

I leaned against him and laughed. He patted my arm with his hand and slowed down our pace as we walked around the garden at home.
In Xiao Minxing’s words, he came back just to see me. As for Xiao Zhe, he was tired of holding him, especially since he didn’t like seeing him monopolizing my attention. So since I had come out to greet him, he wasn’t in a hurry to go back and just wanted to enjoy the feeling of the setting sun.

The air carried a hint of saltiness mixed with the scent of trees; taking a deep breath felt like stepping into a distant primeval forest.
Suddenly, I felt that walking slowly like this with him could last until we grew old. My heart was filled with happiness, and I couldn’t help but look up at Xiao Minxing.
He happened to be looking at me too, then exhaled and said, “Alright, I know what you want to say. The investigation documents are in my bag; I’ll take them back to the house for you shortly.”
