I hadn't actually heard about this because I rarely see Zhuo Feng now and never thought to inquire about his situation. The last time we met for drinks was clearly just to stir up trouble out of spite, making it even less suitable to discuss such matters. Mina sighed deeply: "I was hoping to get married in the future and rely on his company for a living. Now it seems like I might end up begging instead."
I grabbed her hand and said, "Don't say such things; Longwen will still support you."

Mina nodded and said, "True. But honestly, do you know how big of a deal Xiao Minxing is playing? How come there was no hint beforehand? I was completely in the dark this morning, excited to meet that mysterious behind-the-scenes boss, even used my new lipstick, only to find out it was you two."
I shook my head and said, "I knew a few minutes earlier than you; when I was downstairs at the company, Good Fellow didn't say a word."
Mina widened her eyes at me and asked after a while, "Why did he keep this so mysterious? Is it because these companies were all acquired from the Xiao Family?"
I looked at her without saying anything, but Mina had already guessed it and nodded. "That's true. If he had leaked any information early on, there would have been chaos again. Xiao Zong has always been steady in his work."
I didn't want to discuss Xiao Minxing's company too much since I wasn't clear about it myself. It felt inappropriate to say too much or too little, so I changed the subject. "Now that Zhuo Feng's side isn't working out, if you settle in Hong Kong, you'll have to resign from your job here. What will you do then? Really become a small singer's wife, have children, and stop working?"
Mina shook her head and said, "I don't think so. Don't people in Hong Kong also have to work and eat? I can find something to do there too."

If she leaves Xiao Minxing's company now, countless headhunters would be waiting to recruit her. Even though I thought it was too early in the day for drinking, I followed her out.
After all, there might not be many chances to drink like this in the future.
Mina drove me to a bar she often visited, which usually didn't open in the morning.
She slipped in through the back door and greeted the busy owner backstage, saying, "Long time no see."
The owner quickly recognized her and smiled, saying, "It's been a while since I've seen you. I heard you don't live around here anymore."
Mina nodded and replied, "Yeah, I moved and have been drinking less. So, are you open for business now?"
The owner immediately responded, "We're all old friends here; whether we're open or not, we should always have a drink. Today it's on me."
Mina led me to sit at the bar and stared at the ceiling of the bar for a while before saying, "Make me a farewell drink, but I don't want it to taste sad."
