Liu Jinming's face looked grim, but he still spoke softly to her, "Be good, don't make a fuss."
The older brother watched them coldly and sneered, "Well, Liu Jinming, looks like you've learned domestic violence."
Liu Jinming lowered his head, not daring to speak.
The little girl, however, was unhappy. She shouted, "You can't say that about my dad!"
The older brother scoffed, "Little girl, how old are you? Already defending your dad?"
"I don't care, I don't care," the little girl cried out, "You can't say bad things about my dad!"
" Niandi, stop making a fuss," Liu Jinming said gently as he held her.
The older brother waved his hand impatiently, "Alright, alright, just get lost."
"And you," he pointed at the little girl, "you hit my sister; you owe her medical fees."
The little girl was stunned, seemingly not understanding what her brother meant.
"And you," he pointed at Yang Zixuan again, "deliberately injuring someone; you could be detained for a few days."
"What?" Yang Zixuan's expression changed, "You want to detain me?"
"Why not?" the older brother sneered. "Do you think my house is some place you can come and go as you please?"
Yang Zixuan trembled with anger but dared not speak further.
The little girl was also frightened; she ran to Yang Zixuan and hugged her tightly.
The older brother stared at them with a fierce look in his eyes: "Liu Jinming, when my sister was injured and hospitalized, you were sleeping soundly at home."
"When she was being bullied, where were you?"
Liu Jinming kept his head down and said nothing.
But the little girl couldn't hold back anymore; she screamed, "You can't say that about my dad!"
"You wicked woman, it's all because of you that our family has become like this!"
Xinping looked at the little girl and said calmly, "Little one, didn't your mom teach you to stay away from jerks?"
The little girl was stunned again, seemingly not understanding what Xinping was saying.
"Your dad is a jerk," Xinping said to her, "and I am an innocent victim."
The little girl blinked her big eyes, looking at her in confusion.
"And your mother will always go through such tragedies," Xinping said. "Your father will always cheat, and your mother will always suffer."
"Little one, this is your life," Xinping smiled at her. "You can't escape it."
The little girl stared blankly at Xinping and suddenly shivered.
Xinping reached out and gently stroked her hair. "Little one, take care of yourself."
The little girl looked at her in panic, suddenly breaking free from Xinping's hand and running quickly towards the door.
Xinping grabbed her and pulled her back.
"Let me go! Let me go!" the little girl screamed.
Xinping forcibly brought her in front of herself, pinching her chin to make her look at her.
"Liu Jinming," she said softly, "you really are a bastard."
Liu Jinming's face turned pale, and he remained silent.
Xinping released her hand, and the little girl fell to the ground, staring blankly at her.
"Go on," Xinping wearily closed her eyes. "Take your things and get out of my house."
The woman pulled the little girl and hurriedly ran out of the door.
Liu Jinming was also stopped by his brother.
He could only helplessly plead with Xinping, "Xinping, please calm down. Let's talk this through."
"I am calm right now," Xinping coldly looked at him. "Liu Jinming, you don't need to use your 'glorious' family background to pressure me; I won't fall for that."
Liu Jinming's expression darkened. "How can you say that..."
