Honghua stood outside the barrier. Although she couldn't hear what the fox and Xing Ruyi were discussing, she could tell from their expressions that they were sharing intimate words. She felt a mix of envy and sentimentality.
In the past, before she married Li Nan, she too had moments of secret whispers like that. The incredibly handsome man inside is my Husband; if you like him, you can call him Father Fox along with Yin Yuan."
Upon hearing this last sentence from Xing Ruyi, the fox frowned slightly.
"Father Fox? What a strange name!" Li Lu tilted her head slightly to look at the fox and smiled immediately afterward. "But I quite like it!"
"So would you consider becoming my goddaughter?" Xing Ruyi patted Li Lu's head. "That way, you'd have the best-looking and kindest father."
"Can Lulu do that?" Li Lu raised her head to ask both Honghua and the fox.
The fox didn't have much of a reaction; after all, he always listened to Fox Demon's words.
Honghua hesitated for a moment, "Ruyi, this—"
"Your situation with Li Lu is somewhat special. Once the resentment dissipates, the Ghost Messenger from the underworld will surely come to take you both. As for your maternal family, there are no relatives left; otherwise, you wouldn't have been buried in a desolate place for years without anyone to offer sacrifices. We have already discussed Yin Yuan's background in the story about entering the Four Seasons Gate. He is the Demonic Soul of the Ghostly Fetus, originally a child who should not have been born into this world but came into being after absorbing Xing Ruyi's ghostly energy and mingling with her blood. From a genetic perspective, his biological parents should be Liu Zhanggui's son and daughter-in-law from Liu's family. "No way!" the fox replied confidently.
