"Your servant greets His Majesty, and greets Consort Li!" Yunxin was startled upon seeing Tian Feiyao's arrival and quickly knelt to pay her respects.
Azure Dragon cast a sidelong glance at the smugly smiling Consort Li, completely disregarding her! Luo Qingyun also wore an expression of amusement; even though his senior brother was still angry with Xiao Yun'er, Consort Li was indeed going too far. Moreover, there was Azure Dragon involved.

"Azure Dragon, why aren't you kneeling? Apologize to Consort Li!" Tian Feiyao's deep gaze showed no emotion as he calmly surveyed everyone in the room before coldly issuing his command.
Everyone present, except for Consort Li, was taken aback. Consort Li, nestled in Tian Feiyao's arms, looked pitiful and on the verge of tears.
Azure Dragon, known for his toughness, turned pale upon hearing this. He stiffened and stood frozen in place.
"Your Majesty..."
"Azure Dragon! Are you denying that I am your master?" Tian Feiyao's face darkened, resembling the ominous signs of an approaching storm. Luo Qingyun attempted to mediate but was silenced before he could speak.
Azure Dragon trembled and knelt down straight away.
"I admit my mistake to Consort Li!" The cold, stiff words were uttered softly from Azure Dragon's lips.
Not only Yunxin but even Luo Qingyun found it unbearable. His senior brother was going too far; Azure Dragon had followed him for so many years and usually acted so coolly. It was incomprehensible that he would kneel to that woman, Consort Li!
"You belong to the Emperor; I won't hold it against you! As for her... that's not so simple!" Consort Li smiled charmingly, but her gaze turned icy as it shifted to Gu Yuniang on the bed.
"Someone, wake her up!" Tian Feiyao said indifferently. The eunuch accompanying him nodded and stepped back. In less than a moment, he returned with a bucket of water.
"Your Majesty, no!" Azure Dragon exclaimed in shock, suddenly standing up from the ground. In such cold weather, with her serious injuries, pouring that bucket of water over her would surely lead to a cold!
"When did it become your turn to speak? Did I tell you to get up?" Tian Feiyao said lazily, yet exuded an aura of authority that commanded respect without anger.
Qinglong looked at his Lord in pain, gritting his teeth and kneeling down again.
"Your Majesty, please spare the young lady! You can't torment her like this!" Yunxin rushed to the bedside to protect Gu Yuniang as she saw the man approaching with a bucket of water, pleading desperately.
Tian Feiyao ignored her. The eunuch butler forcefully pushed Yunxin aside and splashed a bucket of cold water onto the person on the bed!
With a splash, the water sprayed everywhere, and the bone-chilling cold instantly seeped into Gu Yuniang's heart. She coughed violently and woke up.
Slowly opening her eyes, she looked at the group of people in the room. When she saw the cold smile on Tian Feiyao's lips, she shivered and sneezed hard.
"Do you know your crime?" The crisp and decisive words, along with his indifferent gaze, made Luo Qingyun and the others secretly sweat for Gu Yuniang!
Gu Yuniang felt a fiery pain on her back while her body was as cold as if she were in an ice cellar. Her head grew heavier, but she struggled to get out of bed and stood up straight, meeting Tian Feiyao's gaze calmly.
Looking into his eyes, she found that there was no trace of tenderness left; all that remained was cold-blooded hatred! Good, this is exactly what she needed!
With a weak and pale face, she smiled gently. "A-Yao, have I made another mistake? Well then, if you want to blame someone, blame me. Why do you have them kneeling here?"
The atmosphere in the small room instantly became strange.
Everyone present fell silent. Even Luo Qingyun frowned repeatedly. In the past, little Yuniang didn't know that her senior brother was the emperor, so it was understandable for her to call him by name. But now that she knew, doing so in front of everyone was disrespectful!
This was a serious offense!
Li Fei felt even more wary of this woman. What was going on between her and the emperor? She cautiously observed the emperor's expression but saw no sign of disturbance!
This somewhat relieved her!
Tian Feiyao said nothing; he simply stared quietly at the woman across from him! He realized that he had never truly seen through this woman! Who said she lacked cunning?
"I have always dealt with matters fairly. The Azure Dragon has shown disrespect to Consort Li, and punishment is warranted! As for you, Consort Li punishing a servant is only right; yet you not only refuse to accept the punishment but also dare to argue with your master! You did not bow when you saw me, and you even boldly called me by my name! Tell me, how should I punish you?" Tian Feiyao gently embraced the blissful Consort Li, his eyes filled with mockery as he looked at Gu Yuniang.
But why was there no sign of disappointment or anger on that pale face?
"Let His Majesty decide!" Gu Yuniang replied with a smile, neither servile nor arrogant.
Upon hearing this, Tian Feiyao was slightly taken aback, then calmly said, "Good! You have repeatedly committed acts of great disrespect; according to the law, you should be executed!"
Everyone in the room was stunned. Luo Qingyun narrowed her phoenix eyes, her gaze shifting between the two; it seemed that their conflict was more than just a simple argument.
But did her senior brother really want to kill her?
Gu Yuniang trembled slightly, her smile frozen on her face, revealing a kind of ashen despair. Perhaps she had truly overestimated that past relationship.
Tian Feiyao wore a charming yet chilling smile that sent shivers down one's spine.
"Your Majesty... I have an unreasonable request!" Consort Li's gaze flitted between the two before she spoke first.
"Speak!"
"Could you spare her life? After all, it is the New Year, and Your Majesty's long-held wish has finally been fulfilled. Such a joyous occasion is not suitable for bloodshed; why not grant her to me so that I can take good care of her?" Consort Li surprisingly pleaded for Gu Yuniang, leaving both the Azure Dragon and Yunxin in disbelief.
"I have made up my mind! She has defied my beloved consort and must die!" Tian Feiyao remained as cold as frost.
"Your Majesty... I beg you..." Consort Li coiled around Tian Feiyao like a soft snake, her tone petulant; her demeanor made one shudder.
Seeing her like this, Tian Feiyao sighed helplessly, his voice filled with indulgence. "Alright, my beloved consort is so understanding and kind-hearted! I will spare her life! Gu Yuniang, why aren't you thanking Consort Li?" His gaze toward Gu Yuniang was filled with disdain.
A faint smile appeared on her pale cheeks. "I... I thank Consort Li for sparing my life!" At least... she was still alive!
Living means there is still a glimmer of hope.
"Consort, let’s go! It’s too cold here; I don’t want you to catch a chill!" Tian Feiyao said with concern as he wrapped his arms around Consort Li. Consort Li shyly nodded, their affection for each other evident and delightful.
As the two left, Azure Dragon gritted his teeth and followed them.
Meanwhile, in the room, Yunxin and Luo Qingyun exchanged glances. They wanted to comfort her but didn’t know how to start.
"Xiao Yun'er, are you... okay?" Luo Qingyun asked when she noticed that Gu Yuniang had been silent.
"No! I'm fine! Look, I'm not dead!" Gu Yuniang snapped back to reality, a radiant smile on her face. However, this smile only made the onlookers feel a pang of sadness.
Before leaving, Luo Qingyun handed her a bottle of medicine and repeatedly urged her to take it on time before departing with a heart full of questions.
"Yunxin, you should go too! Return to his side!" Gu Yuniang said calmly as she looked at Yunxin.
"No... Miss, if you go to that Consort Li, you will definitely suffer. I don’t want to leave you!" Yunxin quickly rejected the idea.
She felt guilty towards her mistress and wanted to stay by her side.
"That’s exactly why I don’t want you with me! At least being by his side will be better than being with me!" Just mentioning that person made her heart feel like it was turned upside down, filled with mixed emotions.
