Yun Jiu rolled her eyes, internally complaining that her cheap grandfather was just as greedy as she had feared. She had thought that someone from a prominent family like the Yun Family would regard money as worthless, but here they were. 0

“Grandfather, this idea was something I came up with after racking my brain, and it took me quite a bit of effort to pinpoint Bai Morou's location. A two-eighths split? Am I getting the short end of the stick here? It should at least be fifty-fifty!” Yun Jiu blinked her eyes, her tone laced with a hint of pouting and dissatisfaction. 0

Yun Baichen shot her a glare and replied irritably, “Hmph! You little brat, what do you need so much money for?! A seventy-thirty split is already very generous; it’s the most I can offer!” 0

“Fifty-fifty! It has to be fifty-fifty! Otherwise, I’m walking away from this deal! You figure it out!” Yun Jiu placed her hands on her hips, her eyes wide open in a fierce stance, ready to negotiate like a true sibling. She wasn’t joking; this was a matter of principle, and she wouldn’t back down. 0

Seeing Yun Jiu puffed up like an angry little frog made Yun Baichen chuckle. He had intended to scold her but couldn’t help wanting to tease her when he saw her adorable expression. 0

“Xiao Jiu, why don’t you tell me what you need all that money for? If you can give me a good reason, then I might consider giving you more than fifty-fifty!” Yun Baichen said with a smile. 0

Yun Jiu's eyes lit up at his words as she extended her small, dark hand and began counting on her fingers. “First of all, I absolutely love delicious food. You know how expensive things are at restaurants, right? I need money to enjoy myself!” 0

Yun Baichen nearly choked on his laughter! He had expected Yun Jiu to come up with some profound reasoning, but instead… all she could think about was food! How disappointing! 0

Just as he was about to scold her again, she playfully smiled and continued, “Secondly, I need money to buy you gifts! You’ve been so good to me; I should show my filial piety. Those shabby things you probably wouldn’t even look at, right?” 0

Upon hearing this, Yun Baichen felt his anger dissipate significantly; he was pleasantly surprised. He hadn’t expected Yun Jiu to be so thoughtful and even consider buying him gifts—it truly warmed his heart! 0

Yun Jiu sneakily glanced at Yun Baichen’s expression and saw that he had relaxed considerably. She felt immensely proud; she knew that no matter how cunning he was, he couldn’t escape her grasp! Ha ha! 0

“Thirdly, I also need to buy gifts for my uncle, aunt, Fourth Brother, Fifth Sister, and Little Stone. After all the trouble I caused before, I should make amends somehow. So tell me, is it too much to ask for a fifty-fifty split?” Yun Jiu blinked expectantly at Yun Baichen. 0

"Not excessive! Not excessive! You really are a sensible child!" Yun Baichen was now completely won over by Yun Jiu's charm. He wouldn't hesitate to give up not just silver but even his own life if it came to that! 0

"Grandfather, then you can keep this silver for me! When I get married, you can use it as my dowry!" Yun Jiu grinned, her little white teeth shining as she spoke, as if she could already envision herself in a wedding dress. 0

"Alright, alright! I'll keep this silver for you! When you find a suitable husband, all of this will be your dowry!" Yun Baichen laughed heartily, nodding in agreement. 0

After a bit more playful coaxing, Yun Jiu happily skipped off to find Yun Xiaowu. As she walked, she muttered to herself: Was it easy for her? The original owner had made too many mistakes; she needed to hurry and clear her name! With her grandfather now on her side, the next step was to win over the family of her eldest uncle! 0

Yun Jiu bounced over to the outside of Yun Xiaowu's courtyard, only to realize that Yun Xiaowu had already gone to class. It dawned on her that the Yun Family had a Cultivation Hall; unless there was something going on in the family or it was a break period, the younger generation of the Yun Family had to attend classes at the Cultivation Hall. The original owner had never been there even once because she was a cultivation failure and spent all her time trying to please Bai Moyu. 0

With that thought in mind, Yun Jiu blinked and quickly ran over to the outside of the Cultivation Hall. She wanted to see what this Cultivation Hall was really like! 0

The one guarding the Cultivation Hall was Elder Yun Baishen, the fifth elder of the Yun Family. Upon seeing Yun Jiu bouncing over, he frowned slightly. "Yun Jiu, what are you doing here? The Cultivation Hall is not a place you can just come and go as you please!" 0
