"I came to attend class! Can't any Yun Family Disciple come to class?" Yun Jiu tilted her head, asking earnestly.
The Fifth Elder choked for a moment; as an elder, he naturally didn't want to make things difficult for a junior. He waved his hand, his tone filled with impatience. "Go on in! Just remember not to cause any trouble!"
Upon hearing this, Yun Jiu couldn't help but roll her eyes internally. Do I really look that unreliable?! But she didn't show it on her face; instead, she obediently replied and swaggered into the Cultivation Hall.
As soon as she entered, she drew everyone's attention. Inside the Cultivation Hall, the Yun Family Disciples were either sitting or standing, each focused on their cultivation, creating a serious and heavy atmosphere. Yun Jiu's arrival was like a stone thrown into a calm lake, instantly breaking the solemnity.
"Hey, isn't that Yun Jiu? What brings you to the Cultivation Hall? Could it be that our Ye City’s number one waste wants to cultivate?" A strikingly beautiful girl mocked her; she was Yun Chuqing from the third branch, ranked seventh, and had always looked down on Yun Jiu, often bullying her.
Yun Jiu glanced at her indifferently and ignored her. She didn't consider this clown worth her attention.
"Chuqing!" A graceful girl shot a glare at Yun Chuqing, signaling her to be quiet. Then she turned to Yun Jiu and said softly, "Sister Jiu, what brings you to the Cultivation Hall? Aren't you going out today?"
This girl was Yun Chushan, ranked third and the biological sister of Yun Chen. She appeared gentle and kind but was actually quite scheming; many of the troubles faced by the original owner were orchestrated by her. Naturally, Yun Jiu held no fondness for her and merely shot her a cold glance.
Yun Chushan felt a bit flustered under Yun Jiu's gaze and instinctively looked away. She couldn't understand why this waste seemed to look at her so strangely today, as if she could see through her thoughts.
"I'm just bored, so I came to see how you all are cultivating. You can continue your practice; don't mind me," Yun Jiu yawned casually.
Hearing this, Yun Chuqing stomped her foot in anger. "Hmph! Who do you think you are?! Our Cultivation Hall isn't somewhere you can just waltz in! Stop causing trouble here and get out!" With that, she moved forward to push Yun Jiu.
Yun Jiu's expression hardened as she was about to retali but was stopped by Yun Xiaowu. Yun Xiaowu shook her head at her, signaling her not to act impulsively. After a moment of hesitation, Yun Jiu ultimately decided to hold back. Her current strength was low; it wasn't the right time to confront these people.
"Chuqing, don't be rude!" Yun Xiaowu glared at Yun Chuqing, then turned to Yun Jiu. "Sister Jiu, since you're here, take a seat. The Fourth Elder will be coming to give a lesson soon; you might as well listen." She pointed to an empty spot beside her.
Yun Jiu nodded and obediently sat down. She looked around and realized that the Cultivation Hall wasn't very large; it was just quite spacious. Besides her and Yun Xiaowu, there were other Yun Family Disciples present. However, after scanning the crowd, she noticed that Yun Chen was notably absent.
"Sister Four, isn't Second Brother coming?" Yun Jiu asked curiously. She knew that Yun Chen was one of the outstanding members of the younger generation in the Yun Family and was usually highly regarded by the family. He shouldn't miss such a lesson. However, Yun Xiaowu merely responded with a faint "mm," clearly not wanting to delve deeper into the matter. Seeing this, Yun Jiu wisely chose not to press further.
She began to curiously examine this so-called Cultivation Hall. To put it bluntly, it was just a large empty room! She wondered what useful things could possibly be learned here.
