Butler Ji watched from the side, unable to suppress his astonishment. He knew that the servants, while not openly expressing their disdain, looked down on Miss Jiu. But today, why were these two guards so attentive? It was truly puzzling!
Yun Jiu stood tall and straight, like a proud little rooster. She waved her hand and said crisply, "Alright, you two did well. Step back."
"Yes!" The two guards beamed with joy and hurriedly retreated. They exchanged glances, both recognizing the delight in each other's eyes. How was Miss Jiu feeling today? She seemed quite pleased with their performance; perhaps she would reward them with a few taels of silver!
Just as they were thinking this, a commotion erupted from outside the residence. Four servants carried in a soft couch, upon which lay a person. The figure had disheveled hair and disordered clothing—it was Bai Morou. Her face was pale, her eyes tightly shut, lying there like a dead fish.
"Yun Jiu! You wretched girl! Hurry up and bring out the antidote!" Bai Morou shrieked as soon as she saw Yun Jiu. Her voice was piercing and sharp, slicing through the air like a knife.
Yun Jiu looked at her coldly, a mocking smile curling at the corners of her mouth. "Oh, Bai Morou, what happened to you? Did you suffer retribution so soon? Your brother Bai Moyu bullied me when I was young, repeatedly scheming against me, and even tried to kill me at noon today. Now all his misdeeds are coming back to haunt you?"
Bai Morou trembled with rage, gritting her teeth as she spat out, "Yun Jiu, you're talking nonsense! It's clearly you who caused this to happen to me!"
"Tsk tsk, Bai Morou, isn't it only right for you to atone for your brother's sins?" Yun Jiu feigned confusion. "And why are you making such a fuss outside our Yun Residence? Also, you claim I harmed you—do you have any evidence? You're a master at the third level of Refining Spirit; how could I, a useless person who can't cultivate, possibly harm you?"
Bai Morou was so furious she nearly fainted. She pointed at Yun Jiu and declared, "My brother and my cousin can testify! It was you who caused this to happen to me!"
"Bai Morou, you're really amusing!" Yun Jiu laughed. "The two people you mentioned are on your side; of course they would support you! But I'm different—many guests at Ju Xian Tower and You Ran Courtyard witnessed you bullying me! Isn't that right?"
At this point, Yun Jiu's eyes turned red, her small frame trembling slightly. "I was clearly eating at Ju Xian Tower when you forced me away! When I ran to You Ran Courtyard for a meal, you chased after me wanting to kill me! Poor me had no choice but to jump from the second floor; luckily I'm thin or I would have surely hurt myself!"
"Woo woo, you're being too much! Now you're even coming to our Yun Residence to extort us!" As she spoke, tears streamed down Yun Jiu's face. "Dear villagers, your eyes are sharp—don't you think the Bai Residence is being too oppressive?"
Among the crowd, there were indeed a few guests from the Gathering of Immortals Pavilion and Leisure Residence. Upon hearing Yun Jiu's words, they couldn't help but feel indignant and pounded their chests in affirmation. "Yes! What Miss Jiu said is true! She was dining at the Gathering of Immortals Pavilion when Young Master Bai Moyu drove her away!"
"Indeed! At the Leisure Residence, Young Master Bai Moyu forced Miss Jiu to switch private rooms, and later, she was driven to jump off the building!"
"That's right! I also heard Miss Jiu screaming for help while she was escaping; her voice was almost broken!"

After listening to everyone, the young men from the Yun Family were filled with anger. Yun Hai had initially wanted to settle scores with Yun Jiu, but now he felt pity for her being bullied by Bai Moyu. It seemed that her claim of wanting to turn over a new leaf was genuine!

"Yes! Get out of here! If you dare to bully our Xiao Jiu again, we won't let you off easily!" Others chimed in, echoing Yun Yi's words. In an instant, Bai Moyu and Bai Morou became the targets of everyone's accusations.
