I ran away from home again because I refused to take my medicine.
Although Han Weiting was angry, he couldn't bring himself to yell at me. He truly felt helpless against me. Even when I threw a tantrum, he couldn't get mad. So, he could only silently watch me and sigh helplessly.
To ensure that I would take my medicine, Han Weiting decided to buy me a house to live in. He bought me a house where I could stay alone. Every day, he would come to supervise me taking my medicine and prepare the medications I needed to take daily.
When I found out that Han Weiting had bought me a house, I couldn't help but laugh. "I didn't expect you to be so romantic; you actually bought me a house just to make sure I take my medicine."
Han Weiting blushed and scratched his head, saying, "I'm just worried about your health. If you don't take your medicine, how can you get better?"
I blinked and said, "I know you're doing this for my own good, so I've decided to reward you." Suddenly, I leaned in and gently kissed Han Weiting on the cheek before running away with a flushed face.
Han Weiting stood there in shock, a happy smile spreading across his face. Although sometimes my willfulness left him feeling helpless, he was still willing to pamper me because I was the only treasure in his life.
Xu Mingxing felt like a thorn stuck in my heart. Although I knew he didn't exist, I couldn't help but think of him. I even felt jealous because of him, which troubled me greatly.
"Han Weiting, why does that name sound so unpleasant?" I couldn't help but complain to him.
"Yeah, a nice name like mine is more suitable for you," Han Weiting replied with a smile.
His words made me laugh.
I was curious about who Xu Mingxing really was. So, I searched for his name online and discovered that he was a star who had already passed away. Moreover, he was extremely popular during his lifetime. This made me even more puzzled; how could I feel emotionally affected by someone who was no longer alive?
I couldn't help but complain to Han Weiting, "Why is Xu Mingxing so annoying? Even in death, he won't let me have peace."
"Don't think too much. You have me now, and I will always be by your side," Han Weiting gently comforted me.
Suddenly, it dawned on me that my attention towards Xu Mingxing might be because of Han Weiting. "You aren't Xu Mingxing's substitute, are you?" I asked him, blinking.
Han Weiting paused for a moment before bursting into laughter. "Even if I were, I would be irreplaceable."
My heart stirred slightly. With Han Weiting's company, I gradually began to move on from my obsession with Xu Mingxing. He completely faded from my mind.
Han Weiting reminded me every day to take my medication, which helped me forget about Xu Mingxing. Seeing that my mood had improved significantly, Han Weiting secretly felt pleased. He intentionally brought up Xu Mingxing in front of me: "Aren't you worried about that Xu Mingxing anymore?"
I smiled lightly and replied, "Who is Xu Mingxing? Why would I worry about someone like that?"
Han Weiting nearly burst out laughing; he suppressed his amusement and played along with my act. As the influence of Xu Mingxing gradually faded, I began to notice Han Weiting more.
To my surprise, I realized how much I relied on his care and concern for me. A warm feeling surged through me, and Han Weiting sensed the change in me as well.
He gently guided me, "Nuan Nuan, you need to look ahead; I will be with you."
On a sunny day, Han Weiting took me for a walk in the park. Hand in hand, we enjoyed this rare moment of tranquility together.
I felt an unprecedented sense of relaxation. Perhaps the existence of Xu Mingxing was meant to make me cherish the happiness I have in front of me even more. Han Weiting looked at my smiling face, his eyes filled with love. He softly said, "Nuan Nuan, I want to tell you that I will always be by your side, no matter what happens." I nodded, touched. I completely let go of Xu Mingxing and turned to embrace Han Weiting. I finally found the happiness that belongs to me, and this happiness was given to me by Han Weiting.
