"Hehe... you all saved me earlier too, and thank you for your weapons," Lin Feng replied with a smile as he tossed the Machete back to Chen Sheng's two bodyguards.
"Mr. Lin is quite skilled; we were just fulfilling a request," A Hu said as he received the Machete from Lin Feng, knowing that their boss wanted to maintain a good relationship with him.
"Hehe... let's chat again when we have the chance. I have to go; I still have a companion waiting for me," Lin Feng said, concerned about Dong Jie’s situation as he addressed Chen Sheng and the others before preparing to leave.
"Wait... Lin Feng, you have a companion? How could they let you go out alone on such an adventure?" Chen Xinni asked, surprised upon hearing that Lin Feng had a companion. She instinctively assumed that Lin Feng's companion was male and questioned why that person would allow him to take such risks.
"No, it's my sister..." Realizing that Chen Xinni misunderstood, Lin Feng explained briefly; he didn't want Dong Jie to be wrongly judged.
Upon hearing that Lin Feng had lured away the wolves by putting himself in danger to save his sister, Chen Sheng held an even higher opinion of him—loyal and courageous, truly a hero emerging from youth!

"Boss, should we go up and check?" A Hu asked Chen Sheng after noticing that Chen Xinni and Lin Feng had left.
A Hu wasn't worried about Lin Feng being a threat to Chen Xinni; he was more concerned about Lin Feng encountering any unexpected situations. Although Lin Feng's skills were far superior to his own, he wanted to be there in case something went wrong so he could alert them.
"Yes, A Hu, you follow them and see if they need help. We'll wait for you here," Chen Sheng shared A Hu's concerns and instructed him.
"Hey... Lin Feng, you must be hungry. Here’s some chocolate; have a bite. When we get to City A, I'll treat you to a meal as thanks for saving me last time and this time," Chen Xinni said, enjoying the evening stroll with Lin Feng. Although he walked a bit fast, it didn't stop her from treating it as a leisurely walk together. She pulled out a piece of chocolate—high in calories and perfect for a quick snack.
Chen Xinni felt fortunate for having brought some chocolate with her before leaving home. It was also an opportunity for Lin Feng to see her in a better light. While giving someone a piece of chocolate might not seem like much, she thought it was quite thoughtful of her.

"You're welcome," Chen Xinni replied with a smile upon hearing Lin Feng's thanks. However, she didn't want to hear him thank her because she felt it was too formal. Chen Xinni didn't want Lin Feng to treat her as an outsider.
Soon, following the route in his memory, Lin Feng found the entrance and arrived at the tree.
"Jie Jie, look, I'm here! I dealt with that pack of wolves. Just wait; I'm coming up to get you," Lin Feng called out to Dong Jie in the tree, waving his hand as he began to climb.
"Lin Feng, you really came! I knew you would!" Dong Jie had been looking up at the tree but hadn't seen Lin Feng's figure. Although it had only been less than half an hour, it felt like an eternity. Hearing Lin Feng's voice now made her unable to hold back her tears of joy.
Lin Feng climbed the tree at an astonishing speed. By the time Chen Xinni blinked a few times, he was already by Dong Jie's side.
Chen Xinni watched in admiration; she thought Lin Feng was truly amazing. How had she never noticed so many of his strengths before?
"Jie Jie, why are you crying? Look at me; I'm perfectly fine and feeling great," Lin Feng said playfully upon seeing Dong Jie crying in the tree. He knew she was happy but still decided to tease her.
"Woo... you little worrywart! Do you know how hard it was for me to wait?" At that moment, Dong Jie couldn't control herself and leaped into Lin Feng's arms, holding him tightly as if afraid he would run away again.
"Ha ha..." Lin Feng gently patted Dong Jie’s slightly agitated back, silently enduring her tears.
Everything was understood without words.
Meanwhile, Chen Xinni watched everything clearly from below, feeling a bit envious of Dong Jie. It was astonishing that Lin Feng would go to such lengths for her. Now, Lin Feng was holding her and softly comforting her; this was everything Chen Xinni wanted to have.
"Hey... look what this is. Come on, be good and eat one to regain your energy," Lin Feng said as he noticed Dong Jie had calmed down a bit. He wiped away her tears and magically produced the chocolate that Chen Xinni had given him, unwrapping it and speaking to Dong Jie as if he were coaxing a child.
At that moment, Dong Jie was indeed very hungry. Seeing that it was Lin Feng offering it, she didn’t hold back anymore and opened her mouth, allowing Lin Feng to feed her a piece of chocolate.
Seeing Dong Jie’s captivating way of eating, Lin Feng couldn’t help but take out another piece of chocolate to feed her. It wasn’t for any other reason than to witness the allure of such a beautiful woman being fed chocolate by him.

However, Lin Feng's manner of eating could not compare to Dong Jie’s; he took one piece at a time and still found it too small, insisting that Dong Jie feed him two pieces before he began chewing and swallowing.
Lin Feng hadn’t actually planned to eat the chocolate himself, but Dong Jie had directly unwrapped it for him and shoved it into his mouth, so he reluctantly ate it.
"Alright, Jie Jie, let me carry you down," Lin Feng said as he wiped her mouth.
