Hearing the busy tone on the other end of the phone, he hung up. Just a moment ago, he was troubled about what to do, but now he finally found something to occupy himself with. Since there was nothing else to do, he might as well head back to School.
Shaking his head with a wry smile, Lin Feng felt a bit regretful for forgetting to return to School and made his way there.
Upon arriving at School and returning to the dormitory, Lin Feng suddenly remembered that everyone was in class. Sure enough, the three brothers in the dorm were absent, likely because the chubby guy had been in class when he called.

That's how university works. Lin Feng entered the classroom through the back door, and the teacher didn’t even glance at him as they continued lecturing. University teachers only need to deliver their lessons; they don’t have to supervise students at all; it entirely relies on students' self-discipline.
Therefore, in university, if you want to learn but find it impossible to cover everything in four years, then if you don't want to learn, four years is more than enough time for you to have fun. It all depends on whether you are self-disciplined.
So for a student like Lin Feng who arrived late for class, the teacher didn't need to pay him any mind; it was considered normal.
After all, if the teacher were to address Lin Feng and ask him a few questions, it would only take a few minutes of wasted time. A few minutes might not matter much for students who weren’t paying attention, but for those who were serious about learning, it would be a loss—especially if some members of the Student Council had objections.
Today was particularly unfortunate; as soon as Lin Feng entered the classroom, he found that there wasn't a single empty seat available for him. For a moment, he didn’t know what to do.
“Lin Feng, over here,” suddenly came a female voice that reached Lin Feng's ears.
Liu Jing felt quite unmotivated in class today. The material being taught by the teacher was all too easy for her; in fact, she believed that her understanding of many concepts surpassed that of the teacher. Naturally, listening became rather dull for her.
Given Liu Jing's skills in computer technology, most university lecturers couldn’t compare with her. If she valued diplomas more highly, she could definitely earn at least a doctoral degree.
In fact, it wasn’t just today; even in recent days, although Liu Jing sat in class every day, her mind wasn’t on what the teacher was saying. One reason was that the content being taught was too easy for her; another reason was that she came here every day hoping for Lin Feng’s miraculous appearance and naturally wouldn’t focus on what the teacher was lecturing about.
Although her brother told Lin Feng and Dong Jie that they had fallen off a cliff together, Liu Jing, after grieving, refused to believe that Lin Feng was truly dead. While Liu Jing thought seeing Lin Feng was an illusion, Lin Feng did not think so. He found it strange that Liu Jing happened to be in the classroom while there was only one empty seat next to her in the entire room.
Lin Feng knew that since his relationship with Liu Jie had soured, there was no longer any need to maintain his relationship with Liu Jing. Even if Liu Jing wanted to maintain their previous relationship with him, she would have to face pressure from her family. However, since Liu Jing treats him this way, he cannot make things difficult for her either. After all, she was born into the Liu Family—a family that is at odds with him. Their so-called friendship cannot last long under these circumstances. Since that’s the case, why not avoid being friends altogether? Lin Feng can continue his struggle against the Liu Family while Liu Jing remains the young lady of the Liu Family.
Liu Jing is not foolish; her excitement upon Lin Feng's arrival has cooled down due to his lukewarm response. After cooling off, she realizes that Lin Feng's attitude toward her has changed significantly and has become much more distant.
However, Liu Jing cannot understand why Lin Feng's attitude toward her has changed so drastically in just a few days.
