With a personality like Chen Xinni's, Lin Feng would be better off giving her the car rather than switching with her.
"Alright, Chen Xinni, I'm here, but my main purpose is to persuade you to go home. It's not good for a girl to stay alone in a bar this late," Lin Feng said, interrupting Chen Xinni.
"Hehe... since you're already here, why not come in with me?" Chen Xinni was not easily swayed by Lin Feng's words. She rolled her big eyes and said to him.
"Hehe... I knew you would say that. But let’s make it clear that we’ll only sit for a while before heading back." Lin Feng understood Chen Xinni's request; she was just that kind of rebellious girl. Well, considering her father was his employee and was currently working for him, Lin Feng thought he might as well protect her temporarily on her father's behalf.
It seemed a bit unfair to have someone work for him while ignoring their daughter.
With Chen Xinni linking her arm with his, Lin Feng entered the bar called "Tianyu." By the time he managed to break free from Chen Xinni's grip, they were already at the bar counter.
"I say, Chen Xinni, this is a public place; you should be mindful of your behavior," Lin Feng said somewhat anxiously after freeing himself from her hold.
"Come on, Lin Feng, look around! This is a public place, but look at what everyone else is doing?" The bar was already quite noisy, and after hearing Lin Feng's words, Chen Xinni pointed at the couples around them and questioned him.
"Uh..." Following Chen Xinni's finger to glance around, Lin Feng found himself speechless. The actions of the couples nearby were far more intimate than what he and Chen Xinni had just done; these people were indeed quite open.
"What are their relationships? And what are we?" But Lin Feng wasn't going to let Chen Xinni easily convince him; he countered with a question.
"You’re a guy, I’m a girl; that’s all I know," Chen Xinni replied after being taken aback by Lin Feng's question but still stubbornly insisted.
"What kind of reasoning is that? Just because I'm a guy and you're a girl means we can act like this? That's absurd." Lin Feng felt somewhat frustrated with Chen Xinni. Her family wasn't lacking in money, and she looked decent enough; why did she enjoy coming here? This place wasn't suitable for decent people to frequent regularly. Occasional visits might be for relaxation, but coming often was just indulgence.
"You don't want to play with me? I'll go play by myself." Chen Xinni, in a fit of temper, left the bar and went off to dance alone.
Lin Feng glanced over a few times and noticed that although Chen Xinni was sulking, she was still dancing properly without causing any trouble. He lost interest and threw a Spiritual Mark her way. With this Spiritual Mark, even in such a complicated place like the bar, he would be alerted if anything happened to Chen Xinni. Therefore, Lin Feng didn't need to keep his eyes on her. She was quite pretty, but he wasn't interested.
As he looked around, Lin Feng spotted a familiar face.
Su Rong. He remembered this woman well; what impressed him most was her aura. While there were many beautiful women, Su Rong had a mature charm that stood out, which was why she left a strong impression on him.
Of course, Lin Feng also remembered Su Rong's daughter, Xiao Ling. This little girl evoked a sense of connection in him and often crossed his mind.
Since both mother and daughter had made such an impression on him and he happened to see them here, Lin Feng felt compelled to check on Su Rong when he noticed her furrowed brow.
However, before Lin Feng could approach her, Su Rong was already in trouble.
A few big men surrounded her—wasn't that trouble?
Lin Feng quickened his pace and headed toward Su Rong.
"What do you want?" Su Rong noticed the group of brutes surrounding her and asked warily.
"Miss Su, we are here on orders. Please come with us and don't make us use force," one of the men said, clearly sent by someone else.
"Hmph... If you want me to go with you, you should at least tell me who wants to see me," Su Rong replied calmly, though Lin Feng noticed her calves were trembling slightly.
However, seeing that they were not behaving rudely, Lin Feng decided to hold back for the moment. He didn't take those Brutes seriously, but at least Su Rong needed to show some intention to resist before he could take action.
"Miss Su will naturally understand once she goes over there. Please," one of the Brutes said sternly, refusing to reveal who sent him. As for anything else, he said nothing more and simply stepped aside, allowing Su Rong to walk through.
It was clearly coercive, yet they managed to maintain such gentlemanly manners; Lin Feng couldn't help but feel impressed.
"Alright, I'll go take a look," Su Rong said calmly before getting up from her seat at the bar.
Once she stood firm, Su Rong raised her handbag and swung it at one of the Brute's heads.
Su Rong acted with intent, and surprisingly, the Brute was momentarily dazed by the blow.
Then Su Rong ran away, heading straight towards Lin Feng.
Seeing this, Lin Feng knew it was time for him to step in. A hint of admiration crossed his lips as he moved like lightning.
First, he wrapped an arm around Su Rong, then executed two side kicks that took down the other two Brutes. In just a second, four Brutes were incapacitated—one knocked out by Su Rong and two by Lin Feng's kicks.
After ensuring Su Rong was steady, Lin Feng grabbed the last remaining Brute and slammed him to the ground with a punch. He then placed a foot on the man's chest and asked Su Rong, "We meet again. How should we deal with this one?"
"Lin Feng, I really didn't expect to run into you here. Thank you so much," Su Rong finally came back to her senses. She had thought that knocking out one Brute with her handbag was impressive enough, but Lin Feng's ability to take down three others in mere seconds left her even more astonished.
Last time, Lin Feng had given her the impression of being a skilled medical practitioner, but now his image had elevated further; it turned out he was also quite formidable in a fight and appeared just when she needed him most.
"Ha ha... Rong Jie, we'll catch up later. For now, let's talk about how to deal with this person." Lin Feng truly felt sorry for the Brute beneath his foot. Now that Su Rong was no longer in danger, he wasn't in a hurry to decide what to do with him, which meant the Brute had to continue enduring Lin Feng's weight.
"Oh, then help me ask if it's Wu Liang who sent him." Su Rong realized that there was still another person under Lin Feng's foot, suffering continuously, and it must be quite painful.
"Did you hear that? Go ahead and speak," Lin Feng relayed to the person beneath his foot.
"Uh, I heard it, but I can't say anything." The person underfoot had indeed heard but still had no intention of speaking.
"Well, I guessed as much." Lin Feng smiled and increased the pressure under his foot, looking completely unconcerned.
"Ah, I'll talk! It was Wu Liang who asked me to invite Miss Su to meet him. He gave me twenty thousand yuan." The Brute finally couldn't hold back any longer and spoke up.
"Well, you would have had to say it sooner or later. Take your people and get lost," Lin Feng said dismissively. He really didn't care about these people; even if the Wolf Gang sent out a few random members, their quality would definitely be higher than these guys. Trying to threaten good people like this deserved to have someone like Lin Feng, a righteous hero, step on them.
Since Lin Feng let them go, they scrambled desperately toward the exit. They knew that with Lin Feng around, they wouldn't be able to complete their mission today.
The leader of the four cursed Wu Liang inwardly as they ran. Wu Liang had claimed that Su Rong posed no threat, but now it seemed she was protected by skilled individuals. Their group was clearly not a threat at all.
"No way, I have to squeeze some more money out of Wu Liang; I can't just take a beating for nothing." The Brute dared not think about causing trouble for Lin Feng. Although he wasn't particularly skilled in martial arts, he had been around long enough in society to know how to read people. Looking at Lin Feng made it clear he was not someone they could mess with.
While the Brutes were plotting how to extort money from Wu Liang, Lin Feng helped Su Rong back to the bar and had her sit down.
"Lin Feng, I'm really glad you were here today; otherwise, I wouldn't know what to do," Su Rong continued to express her gratitude to Lin Feng.
"Ha ha... I also can't stand injustice, Rong Jie. I think you should come to this bar less often; it's not suitable for a woman like you." As a friend, Lin Feng felt he had to advise her. Of course, whether she listened or not was beyond Lin Feng's control. Su Rong was older than him and had her own judgment.
"So what kind of woman do you think I am?" Su Rong asked with interest upon hearing Lin Feng's advice.
"Ha ha... It's hard to say, but you seem more intellectual," Lin Feng honestly didn't know how to answer Su Rong's question, so he could only respond vaguely.
"Then where do you think I should be after work?" Su Rong had no ill feelings toward Lin Feng. Moreover, since he had saved her daughter last time and helped her this time, she had developed trust in him and wanted to chat.
Although Su Rong had been to bars a few times, she was always just an observer there and never made any friends, let alone chatted with men.
This was because Su Rong understood that in places like bars, true friends were rare; most were just drinking buddies or one-time acquaintances. Once the moment passed, it was over, and Su Rong certainly wasn't someone who would associate with just anyone.
"I think you should go home or find a quiet café to have coffee," Lin Feng said straightforwardly.
"Oh, then what if I have something on my mind? What should I do?" Su Rong asked again.
"Well, I think you should find a friend or talk to your husband about it and discuss it with them," Lin Feng continued to speak frankly.
"Husband? Hmph! My husband's name is Wu Liang, the one who just invited me over," Su Rong said with a cold smile upon hearing Lin Feng's words, feeling indignant.
