From what she understood about him, he had the strength to help Su Rong without any issues. However, helping Su Rong would naturally require him to invest a lot as well. Was it worth it?
This was the part that Chen Xinni couldn't figure out. She also gathered from Lin Feng's earlier conversation with Su Rong that they had only met a few times. Although their meetings were quite sudden—Lin Feng always coming to the rescue—any gratitude would be directed towards Su Rong. So why was it that Lin Feng seemed determined to help her?

Watching her fall asleep beside me made me feel so fulfilled," Lin Feng expressed his strong feelings. The more he interacted with Xiao Ling, the stronger those feelings became. At this moment, Chen Xinni was undoubtedly a good person for him to confide in. Although these feelings were intense, Lin Feng didn't dare let Su Rong or Xiao Ling know because he understood it would make both of them uncomfortable.
It might even lead Su Rong to misunderstand his intentions towards her. In reality, Lin Feng was sure that his fondness for Xiao Ling was what led him to have feelings for Su Rong; wanting to help her was simply because he didn't want Xiao Ling to come to any harm.
His affection for Xiao Ling was strange, but Lin Feng knew it was the most sincere feeling in his heart—pure and untainted by any pretense.
"Hmph... So you were moved by a beautiful woman. It turns out you like Su Rong, huh? Your intentions are as clear as day, Lin Feng. I look down on you," Chen Xinni said, feeling uncomfortable after Lin Feng revealed such a personal secret to her. Finally, she became angry and scolded him.
"Heh... I can understand why you don't believe me. I thought you would understand me, but one thing: whether you believe what I said is up to you, but you can't tell anyone, especially Su Rong and Xiao Ling. If they find out, it will complicate my interactions with them in the future," Lin Feng replied. He felt helpless that Chen Xinni didn't believe him, but he was confident in his own feelings and just hoped she wouldn't spill the beans.

Chen Xinni's guess wasn't entirely wrong. Although Lin Feng wanted to help Su Rong, he never intended to risk his own assets. He didn't want to see Su Rong's ex-husband and his group succeed. Lin Feng wasn't someone who shied away from trouble; since he was going to get involved, he expected the other party to pay a price. To be clear, Lin Feng wouldn't resort to violence; if he wanted to solve problems that way, he wouldn't have let Su Rong go get the contract. His general thought was: help Su Rong while also securing benefits for her.
After reviewing the contract, Lin Feng became even more certain of his thoughts. Without him, Su Rong would indeed be waiting for losses. But since he was involved now, he wouldn't let Tesla enjoy the show for free. This guy claimed to be unbeatable in pharmacology? Fine then; Lin Feng would make him provide a prescription for him. He didn't believe Tesla wouldn't have any resources.
As long as Tesla had something in store, Lin Feng could make him bring it out. He believed this guy would definitely satisfy his demands.
"Well, Rong Jie, I've looked over the contract. It seems the other party gave up a lot of things to obtain a huge compensation; this is very beneficial for us," Lin Feng said after closing the contract and addressing Su Rong.
At first, Su Rong thought Lin Feng had some good solutions. But seeing him casually conclude after just a glance made her fleeting hope vanish again. She understood what Lin Feng said all too well; however, she knew that if she couldn't produce a formula, those so-called generous conditions given up by the other party would mean nothing. She realized that what they truly wanted was that enormous compensation.
"Well, that's true." However, Su Rong noticed Lin Feng's enthusiasm and remembered how he had just saved her. Although she felt a bit disappointed, she didn't want to show it and could only respond in a somewhat distracted manner.
"Hehe... Rong Jie, do you think I'm just talking nonsense here? That this won't help solve the problem at all?" Lin Feng was quite perceptive and could see the disappointment in Su Rong's eyes. She knew that if she really had such a prescription, this wouldn't be a disaster but an opportunity. Not only would she make a fortune, but the other party would likely suffer significant losses since they only needed one percent of the profit.

"Really? Then Lin Feng, can you sell me that prescription? Rong Jie is willing to give everything to buy your house back. Rong Jie, make sure to get some rest; there's an important task waiting for you tomorrow," Lin Feng said as he stood up after finishing their discussion. He didn't intend to stay here; although he liked Xiao Ling and enjoyed being with her, it felt inappropriate for him as a man to remain here while Chen Xinni stayed behind.
