Lin Feng accompanied Lin Mei to work, and instead of returning to his previous position as a bodyguard, he now had his own office outside Lin Mei's office.
Of course, this office used to belong to Lin Mei's Secretary, but now Lin Feng was working here as well.
Lin Mei's Secretary was a girl named Xiao Ya. Although she was petite, she was quite assertive. Lin Feng heard that Xiao Ya was very principled in her work. Currently, the office Lin Feng occupied had been prepared by Xiao Ya. This wasn't because she particularly welcomed him; rather, it was because Lin Mei had assigned her the task the night before. Xiao Ya had even returned to the company specifically to prepare some office supplies for Lin Feng.

So when Lin Feng arrived at the office on his first day as an assistant and greeted Xiao Ya, she acted indifferent.
Lin Feng understood this; after all, he had risen from being a bodyguard. She probably thought he lacked the capability for the assistant position.
However, understanding or not, Lin Feng wasn't the type to force his warmth onto someone who was cold towards him. Since he had already greeted her and she remained aloof, he decided not to be overly enthusiastic.

To be honest, when Lin Feng went online now, it wasn't for learning or gathering information; he was simply looking for some trivial games that might entertain him and alleviate his boredom.
Lin Feng really didn't know what he should do; Xiao Ya, the Secretary, hadn't given him any guidance.
The entire morning passed like this. Looking at the clock hanging on the wall, Lin Feng realized that playing games could indeed keep him from feeling bored. At least, before he knew it, it was already time for lunch.
"Hey... Xiao Ya, where do we go for the work meal?" It was only at this moment that Lin Feng realized he didn't even have a meal card for the company. After all, he was now a proper white-collar worker; he should at least try the taste of the Golden Dragon Group's work meal.
Otherwise, there was always a sense of emptiness, as if he was missing something. It felt somewhat similar to "traveling to Beijing but not climbing the Great Wall."
Of course, while this was Lin Feng's true thought, he wouldn't be foolish enough to tell Xiao Ya. After all, she was still being difficult with him. If she found out that he regarded having a meal as important as "climbing the Great Wall," who knows how she would react?

"Uh..." Lin Feng was taken aback by Xiao Ya's response. Truly, she was worthy of being Lin Mei's Secretary; even a simple refusal sounded so much like a Secretary.
As someone who shields their boss from troubles, a Secretary often has to learn to protect themselves while also defending their boss. It requires a bit of artistry in their speech.
Of course, this so-called artistic speech is sometimes referred to as jargon. Such phrases have one characteristic: they say something without actually saying anything meaningful.
So, it must be said that the subtleties of human language can sometimes leave one speechless.
At least for now, Lin Feng was left speechless.
However, since he couldn't get the answer he wanted from Xiao Ya, Lin Feng gave up on finding out where to eat lunch from her. After all, he wasn't someone who would force others into difficult situations.
So, in the next moment, Lin Feng turned and walked toward Lin Mei's office across the way.
"Hey... Lin Feng, what are you doing in the CEO's office?" Xiao Ya thought that Lin Feng had no way to deal with her, but to her surprise, he confidently walked into Lin Mei's office. Without needing to ask, Xiao Ya knew he was there regarding her "where to eat" issue, so she quickly pressed him for answers.
However, just like Xiao Ya's earlier attitude, Lin Feng couldn't be bothered to say even a polite phrase. He simply knocked on Lin Mei's office door and walked in.
"Oh, Lin Feng, what brings you here?" Lin Mei initially thought it was Xiao Ya knocking, but upon seeing it was Lin Feng, she asked.
"Well, it's mealtime, right? I wanted to invite you to lunch." Xiao Ya, who had followed Lin Feng to the door, was taken aback by his words. Goodness, does he really need the CEO to accompany him for a meal? Who is actually working here? Doesn't he know that Sister Mei usually has her meals brought to her office?
Lin Mei had a good relationship with Xiao Ya privately, so she referred to her as "Sister Mei." The reason Lin Mei ate in her office was that she was too busy to waste time going back and forth to the cafeteria.
However, what surprised Xiao Ya again was that when Lin Mei heard Lin Feng invite her to lunch, she actually said, "Sure, I'm hungry too."
"CEO, don't you usually not go to the cafeteria?" Xiao Ya asked in disbelief.
Since Lin Feng was present, Xiao Ya didn't call Lin Mei "Sister Mei," but referred to her as "CEO."
"Hehe... It's okay to try it out occasionally. You've been helping me get my meals lately, Xiao Ya. Let's go together," Lin Mei replied with a smile.
Seeing that Lin Mei said this, Xiao Ya could only nod and follow them for lunch.
After walking a few steps, Lin Mei suddenly turned around and said to Xiao Ya, "Relax a bit, Xiao Ya. Just call me Sister Mei; Lin Feng is not an outsider."
Upon hearing this, Xiao Ya's pupils widened slightly but eventually nodded and replied with a soft "mm."
Along the way, Lin Mei pointed out various places and explained what they were. It was as if she was giving Lin Feng a tour.
Lin Feng listened attentively and mentally noted everything down. After all, he was now a gold-collar worker; this would be his workplace for some time in the future, so it was naturally good to learn more about it.

Once the three were seated, Lin Mei handed the menu to Lin Feng and said, "Take a look at what you want to eat. Order anything; consider it a welcome to our group."
This statement left Xiao Ya somewhat speechless. It felt as if inviting Lin Feng, this inexperienced assistant, was more of a blessing for Lin Mei and her team. Xiao Ya knew very well that Lin Feng had spent the entire morning playing games while sitting in his seat.
Knowing that Lin Feng had been playing games all morning was why Xiao Ya had given him a hard time during work hours. Although Lin Mei had her own personal Private Room for dining, she was not one to act pretentiously and would not arrange for someone specifically to serve her food. When dining alone, she would go get her own food; when dining with others, they would all go together. In her words, there was no need to waste resources.
Of course, due to Lin Mei’s slight stomach issues, the dishes were prepared by an experienced chef who came from home. This way, the food would suit Lin Mei’s taste without upsetting her stomach.
