After dropping Lin Mei off at the company, Lin Feng's job was done. He then entered his Assistant Office while Lin Mei went into the President's Office, and he started playing games.
No one in the company commented on Lin Mei's tardiness; after all, it was a private enterprise, and the Lin family were the sole shareholders. Lin Mei could come and go as she pleased, and no one else had the right to say anything about it. It was absurd to think that employees would criticize their boss for being late.
As for Lin Feng, he was now Lin Mei's assistant. Although he was theoretically expected to adhere to company rules, everyone knew that he had to pick Lin Mei up and drop her off every day. Since Lin Mei was late, it was only natural that Lin Feng, as her assistant, would also arrive late.

After some interactions, Xiao Ya's attitude towards Lin Feng improved significantly. The most obvious sign was that now when Lin Feng played on his computer at work, Xiao Ya did not say anything to him. She seemed to have come to terms with it; after all, even Lin Mei had not commented on Lin Feng playing games at work. "Even though I haven't met our grandma..." Lin Feng began preparing for a lengthy speech.

Recently, Lin Mei had noticed that the more familiar she became with Lin Feng, the more he tended to ramble nonsensically.

"Alright, regardless, based on my belief, your grandma must be a very loving elderly lady whom both you and Old Lin cherish deeply. Right? What has she worked hard for all her life? Isn't it to avoid loneliness in her old age? To have companionship?
